Dirty and not well taken care of. Photos depicted online are OLD and thus deceiving! We had reservations and had paid for our stay ahead of time. Check-in is at 3:00pm. Because of flight delay we arrived at 9:30pm and were informed that the room would not be ready for another hour.

Reviewing the Media Luna is hard because we hate for anyone else to know about it! Best kept secret in Tlaquepaque, bar none. Each room has a theme, the hopitality is superb, and the location is fantastic. Unbelievable value for the money. Josephina is the hostess with the mostess!

This was our third time staying at the Hotel Posada de la Media Luna. Josefina is terrific, speaks good English and is a wealth of knowledge. The hotel is well positioned to enjoy the delightful area of Tlaquepaque. It is about a 20 min. bus ride into the centre of Guadalajara and is also very close to the shopping area...

I stayed here with my wife and her family for two nights. It was excellent. The manager, Josefina, was amazing and spoke impeccable English (arguably better than most Americans). Her son, Abrahm, is a master of carpentry, art, and decor. His vision is splashed throughout the hotel and you'd be remiss to overlook the many amazing details in each of...

The rooms are basic, but they are doing some renovations so I think they will improve. The friendly staff and service were outstanding. The rooms surround a courtyard where breakfast is served. I loved the courtyard, it made for a nice "lobby" area for the hotel. It was always easy to find the owner or staff to answer our questions....

Excellent staff that were very helpful with our bags, getting taxis, getting medical assistance and other things. The location is perfect as it is just around the corner from the central square in Tlaquepaque. The rooms are clean with a European style bathroom and air conditioning. I would have liked to see more electrical plug ins, but that is minor....

We booked this place because we were breaking up a 2 day bus trip and basically needed a crash pad. Tlaquepaque in general is not full of inexpensive options, so finding this one and reading other reviews was nice to find. We knew this would be a basic place and had no expectations of luxury. It is definitely NOT luxury....

Thanks to TripAdvisor and a very friendly taxi driver, I found Hotel Media Luna. I was sent to Tlaquepaque on business and was searching for a hotel that was safe, friendly, clean, near activity and all for a good price. After viewing a few unsatisfactory options my taxi driver and I stumbled upon Hotel Media Luna. I remembered the name...

I stayed at the Media Luna for 4 nights. Josefina, the owner/manager, speaks fluent English and is very friendly. Their breakfast is to die for - fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee (rather weak), fruit plate, eggs, and toast or pancakes - you do not walk away hungry. My single room was 400 pesos ($40 US) which I thought was too...

“Ask for the rooms that look out onto the main square if you want to be part of the action. Otherwise, make sure to request one on the opposite side. Avoid the room immediately left of the stairs: it has a giant streetlight directly outside the window.”
