We stopped in the Anvil bar while staying in the Dingle area. Liz, the waitress was so welcoming and friendly. She answered any questions we had about the area and actually brought us a map to show us her favorite spots. The food was beyond delightful. Steve, the chef can truly cook. I suggest the lamb and mashed potatoes. Good...

We were driving through Kerry and stopping at the Anvil Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely food and service. Thank you to Joe and Liz for our lovely afternoon. The haddock was fresh and delicious and the chips gorgeous. Did not do my figure any good but so worth it. Hope you have a great season. 👏👏👏

Walked to the Anvil Bar to eat when we stayed at Murphy's Farmhouse up the road. The food was delicious & the barman very friendly. Would certainly return if we ever revisited Castlemaine. Background music was traditional Irish.

We stayed in The Anvil for two nights in March and Liz went absolutely over and above for the entirety of our stay. It is situated near Castlemaine on one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the world, so it's an ideal place to stay. The pub itself is very welcoming, well stocked and has a delicious menu of...

Stopped in for food en route from Dingle to Cork and it was very worthwhile. The service was fast, friendly and welcoming. The fish and chips was unreal. Great value for money too. Would highly recommend calling in to sample the menu.

My family and I spent two weeks in Ireland in June 2016. We started in Dublin, and traveled IRE/NI counter-clockwise. We had our challenges with sickness, weather, family, and I with the time change - and at some point near Derry I decided that for me personally, this trip was going to be focused on getting to know the people...

Outstanding fare in a small town near Killarney. Best fish & chips ever. We travelled all over the south of Ireland & found the best food & the friendliest people in small out of the way places like this establishment as well as Murphys pub next door

We stayed at the Anvil whilst at a funeral locally. Liz and her Son who run the bar and bed and breakfast could not do enough to help us. The rooms were lovely the breakfast exceptional (more toast and brown bread kept coming out). The bar had a wonderful atmosphere. I would thoroughly recommend it and would definitely stay there...

I was very impressed with this establishment. It is a warm, friendly, family safe place to stay while traveling Ireland. 2 great nights of sleep and 4 incredible meals. I tip my hat to the chef. The duck was superb and the mash potatoes were better than my grandmothers. Don't let the name fool you. This is a charming place...
