Was sold this holiday with the hope of being able to use the small pool. The water was brown, clearly hadn't been in use for a long time. Key has to go in a pot at reception and no safe. Got told to use the neighbouring pool for free but it is in use for anyone anyway. Had to pay to extend my room hours for a couple hours which would normally be fine if I had full use of facilities which I paid for but I didn't. Friendly staff especially at night. Clean rooms and breakfast offers but did not try this.

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of August. We were in one of the studio rooms on the first floor. When we arrived, it was roasting hot at 2am in the morning and the room we were given had broken air conditioning; however the manager moved us the following day without any fuss. The rooms are clean and the maid is in every day except Sunday. The downside is there are no safes/security boxes and they ask you to leave your key in a pot on a bookshelf in reception. We chose to ignore this and kept the key with us. There are two sizes of rooms and the one bedroom apartments looked to be of a better standard than the studios. . Hot water is an issue; solar heating requires good timing to be able to get hot water and its best to shower early in the evening to guarantee it will be hot. Cooking is done by 2 electric rings, which is quite common in this part of the world; my room also had fridge, kettle and a TV. All rooms have air conditioning for an additional fee of 40 euros per week. Location is perfect in a quieter part of the village but only minutes to the beach, bars and restaurants. The pool looked a bid dirty when we were there, and the water was a strange green colour. Not many people using the pool beds or the pool itself. We used the beach every day at the quiet end of the resort away from the clubbers which was fine. Sunbeds on the beach are 5 euros for 2 beds and 1 umbrella. Breakfast was very basic continental breakfast which was adequate. You can bring some of your own breakfast food to supplement what is on offer. We bought our own yogurts and the staff do not mind you doing this. Eating area is huge, with tables inside and out. Reception is nice but unusual, additional toilets/shower are down stairs and clean. There is a seating area with sofas and tv. There is also a sun lounge out front with padded wicker furniture that almost runs the width of the hotel. There is free Wi-Fi in the reception but you have to pay if you want Wi-Fi in your room as it is supplied by another company and expensive. Lots of cats around the resort, but my wife loves cats and this was not a problem to us. Hotel has cats and kittens in the grounds which like some titbits from you if you are that way inclined. All in all, we had a great stay in Kos and would use this hotel again as it was good value for money, clean and in a great location. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of September. The rooms and hotel overall were spotless and all staff very helpful. They had a storm a couple of weeks before we arrived which had damaged some of the beds and parasols but they arranged it so that we could use the pool area at the Cleopatra Superior across the road. The only downside is that they do not have any safes/security boxes and they ask you to leave your key in a pot on a bookshelf in reception. Needless to say we always took our key with us; its not that we didn't feel safe but your key has your room number on it and if it is in the pot then clearly your room is empty and with no safe. Location is great as in a quieter part of the village but a short stroll to the beach and bars, restaurants etc.

Stayed here on the 9th September for one week and after reading the latest reviews were very sceptical about staying here but we needn't have worried. The hotel is in a great location as it is just outside the town and the rooms and staff were great. We received a warm welcome and our room was upgraded to a bigger apartment. The breakfast was very basic and could have done with more variety or changes every now and again but we knew this would probably be the case so it did not detract from our holiday. The hotel has a lot of character probably because it is a little old fashioned but we prefer it this way and wouldn't hesitate to stop here again. We had no problems with running water as previous reviews had mentioned and the pool looked to be very clean although to be fair we tended to walk down to the beach most days. All in all for the price we paid we were very happy with this accommodation and thank you to all the staff who made us feel very welcome.

Arrived at the beginning of September this year, We were a group of 4 , We were greeted be Nathanial , the owner , & Demitri when we arrived who were very friendly and very helpful. While we partook in a few liquid refreshments at the bar our luggage was taken to our rooms , which was all very nice. Our rooms were very clean and the balcony had a beautiful sea view . While we stayed here we didn't have any problems with the water other than a showers ran a bit cool sometimes , But as they say " When in Greece " what do people expect , it's a small island Over all was a very pleasant stay and would have no hesitation in staying here again next year.

We arrived on 2nd September for 15 nights, we were a party of 4 we were greated by the owner Nathanial & Dimitri, our luggage was taken to our room , which was clean bright and airy , any questions or concerns we may of had were answered and dealt with , we did not have breakfast as we were self catering, the. Rooms were cleaned daily bedding changed every other day clean towels etc ,balcony area cleaned every day, the pool was clean but think it does need some TLC, and as do the sun loungers ,umbrellas , but having said this it is near to the end of season, I think one of the negatives for us was no pool side snacks, which we feel would be an asset, rather than having to get up and go off to some where else, over all we really enjoyed our stay, we will be staying there again, another plus is they do like animals they have a couple of cats and kittens which are well looked after

I stayed here from 8th Sept 2014 for a week with my mum. Upon arrive at about midnight the owner was waiting to greet along with someone to help us with our bags. Upon meeting us and taking down some details on our passport we were upgrade free of charge to a large room. We wanted air con which was 10 euros a night which they arranged for us at midnight and we then paid at the end of the week. All the staff were lovely and helpful. There was always someone around to help and they were very friendly. Our room was extremely clean throughout the holiday and mopped up my sun cream drips regularly. Our bins were emptied daily and a fresh towel halfway through the week. What I found lovely was on our last day we were given an extra towel for the last day to use when we freshened up before the flight home for free. We had no problems with water at all through the week like others had. The location was great, 5 minutes if that walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the edge of town and then you could walk for another hour throughout town to the other side if you so wish. The hotel over the way had music by pool until 8pm which could be heard clearly on our balcony but it did not bother us at all as we liked the music. We love the beach so that was promptly where we went to every day so we only stayed by the pool on our travel home day. It is old and the sunbed were not comfortable but suited our needs for the last day. The only down side by staying by the pool is the hotel only provides breakfast and not lunch so we had to head elsewhere for that. For what we paid and the service we received I would stay here again. Cheap greek accommodation is what is on order but having staying in lots of the greek island it was one of the better ones.

Stayed here for just over a week. As the previous reviewer confirmed,we had no running water for several days. Apparently this was due to a lack of pressure and we were forced to wash in the basement shower which meant enduring a queue of up to 30 minutes. Not to mention that we were in a self catering apartment so this obviously hampered opportunities to cook. We complained and moved to another room on the first floor where there was no problem with water pressure but clearly without complaining we were being fobbed off that this was simply unfortunate and a problem in the entire village of Kardamena. Good thing I saw taps running water in the bar area on the ground floor and basement shower so insisted we move to a low level room. Never saw anyone use the pool or lying by the pool area during our entire stay. Yes, it does appear a little green compared with the sparkling and beautiful pool of the Cleopatra Suites hotel across the road. Apartment was a very good size and the balcony area is large but seating is falling apart and even had nails pulling out. The patio table was never cleaned during our stay and indeed the cleaners just about did the basics of mopping the floors in the apartment and cleaning the shower room and toilet. Cooking facilities in the apartments are very limited; a few plates, saucepan and two hot rings. Not even washing up liquid and a washing up sponge are supplied. We ended up eating out mostly and really only had breakfast in the apartment. Beds are the most uncomfortable we've ever tried to sleep in. Ridiculously hard mattress with springs jutting through the upholstery. Most, if not all clientele at the Estia Beach are Italian. Most appeared to be on a budget. After all the inconvenience we incurred during our first few days the owner still had the lack of customer centricity to charge us €40 for a late check-out on our departure day. Good things: - Quiet but still very convenient location. - Nice sea views. - reasonably clean room and spacious. Not so good: - No running water during several days of our stay - Poor sound proofing so can be noisy at night when loud Italians are coming back from an evening out. - Pool does look dirty. - The most uncomfortable beds we've ever tried to sleep in. - Very limited self catering facilities. - Hotel itself is looking a bit tired. Would we stay here again? Having tasted the other end of the accommodation spectrum at the Aegean Village and Carda Beach hotels previously, absolutely not! This is €40 per night and you just about get what you pay for! - Air con charge of €10 per day for apartments and €6 for studios which is higher than all other places we've stayed.
