This was our first time at this hotel and it lived up to its reviews and 5⭐️ rating . It’s impeccably clean with excellent covid measures being observed throughout all facilities. The staff are all polite and friendly but not overly so, and not obtrusive. The Level Sea View was our room of choice and we were not disappointed. Roomy, clean, excellent views and the bed and pillows were perfect! Every night fresh water was put by the bed and all towels changed on request. The Level welcome is exceptional, private reception , glass of bubbles and a tour of the facilities. Again all covid info checked, putting our minds at rest. All food in all venues was excellent, varied and 5 ⭐️, couldn’t fault it. Nightly entertainment was adequate, not exceptional and provided the necessary atmosphere for drinks etc. Downsides , there are not enough sun loungers at the Level pool for the number of guests with Level rooms . If you snooze you lose so sadly you have to set your alarms to get loungers. 7:30am seemed to be the popular time to get them but many would be unused but reserved until the afternoon, a little unfair and needs better policing. By the end of the stay there seemed more ‘Level’ guests than main hotel guests and for privacy and sun lounger availability we chose to go main hotel side and relinquish our spot by the level pool , just too crowded. The seperate ‘Breeza’ restaurant for the level breakfast is a nice touch with both buffet and a la carte options but the staff seemed rushed off their feet and the wait at times was quite long. Especially Sunday. Same in the main bar, lots of staff but no one really noticing you’d arrived or taking orders . Could take a while to get drinks. Overall an excellent hotel, would definitely re visit , worthy of its 5star rating but the ‘The Level’ luxuries need review to ensure everyone paying for them, gets them.

Hotel's Favourite
This was my fifth (or possibly sixth?) stay at the Melia Salinas; and I was expecting things to be different because of these surreal times. Obviously fewer people were staying and fewer staff. However the staff were all delightful and working extra hard to make sure our stay was wonderful! We had one of the Penthouses which had been renovated fairly recently. I totally recommend them. Although the rooms generally are a good size and very comfortable. Our son was in a Level Seaview King and it was great. I would recommend that you always go for a Seaview room, it's definitely worth paying extra for! The Level breakfast was excellent. We did try their a la carte evenings twice, but unfortunately we were rather underwhelmed by the food. We didn't get to try the afternoon canapés in the Level as they only ran from 4.30-5.30 and we never managed to make it. Maybe they could be made later or longer? Overall a marvellous stay. I love this hotel and can't wait to go back as soon as possible!

...........we were not disappointed. Uncompromising luxury and service, a blue flag beach within an easy stroll. Delicious food with great choices. Plenty activities if you wanted them and peace and quite if you didn't. Gyms, aqua-aerobics in house and local water sports. Covid protocols were realistic - two to lift - distancing in the dining room - cleaning of tables in the dining areas and even sunbeds round the large pool. All menus and information on QR codes so remember to carry your phone with you. We got caught out twice early on and found there was no written menu. Great idea for cleanliness and costs, but not handy for ordering your lunch at the Pool Bar! Evening meals in the buffet themed daily. Because we stayed 10 days we dined in the A la Carte restaurant. Good food but lacked a little of the variety found in the buffet. Some diners seemed a little precocious but that didn't spoil our visit.

Had a great 10 nights after such a long time not being able to holiday abroad. Hotel and staff were excellent. The choice and quality of food at all meals was of a very high standard. We will return in the not too distant future.
