A good place to stay for some relaxing winter sunshine. The hotel is well run, the facilities and rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. Paying the additional charge for the Level was well worth it. The pool area, Level breakfast dining and staff were excellent. The all inclusive buffet dining in the hotel was generally good quality, but there were some off nights and the food didn't seem to be properly replenished if you chose to dine at a later time. We were also disappointed with the Breeza Restaurant, which supposedly offered a tasting menu, although it certainly wasn't. The dishes offered were basically those in the buffet and nothing special.

Es un honor para nosotros contar con un equipo humano tan magnífico y nos alegra que haya tenido una excelente estadía. Hotel's Favourite
We spent 11 nights at the Melia Salinas and as we. thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s hard to comprehend some of the negative reviews, as we had such a fabulous time. This is a luxury hotel with excellent environmentally conscious policies, which is always great to see. Would highly recommend downloading the Melia app so you can access all the information at the hotel. We loved the brutalist architecture and the Cesar Manrique designed lagoon pool, murals and the Damaso artwork around the hotel. At the centre of the hotel there is an open air botanical garden, complete with swinging chairs and water running through a series of pools. Stunning. All rooms look out towards the back, away from the street (to the sea). Higher floors have a more unobstructed view of the ocean. We stayed in room 245, a Melia Room on the 2nd floor with views over the Level Pool. We had a sea view, over the top of palm trees - this wasn’t an issue for us as it was beautiful and quiet. The balcony had two comfy deck chairs which we used in the early evening. Melia Room We decided not to upgrade to the Level as we were really happy with our room. Rooms are a was bright, spacious with an open concept wardrobe and plenty of drawer space. Mini bar was included in our All Inclusive, stocked daily with beer, water and soft drinks. Tea and coffee were also available in the room. Safe was easy to operate. TV had a good range of Enqglish channels and was easy to change movie channels to English. Lots of natural light and well placed mirrors for getting ready. Housekeeping was excellent, linens changed daily. Robes and slippers are provided. Rooms are showing signs of a little wear with a few knocks and bumps on walls but nothing major. Bathroom We had a large walk in shower, complete with full size Rituals toiletries (so much better for the environment than minis!). Shower was rainfall and separate head, great water pressure and always warm. Powerful hairdryer available and large drawer space for tidying away essentials. Towels were changed if they were placed on the floor. No flannels were available so pack these if you need them. You can order additional items (toothbrush, etc) through the Melia app. Pool Cesar Manrique designed the lagoon style pool. It is stunning. Pool water is cold but bearable once you are in! We bought some rackets to play beach tennis and loved this. Toilets located outside are clean. Plenty of sunken showers around the pool. Sun beds were available but our biggest gripe is selfish tourists reserving beds all day and then being annoyed when management (rightly) removed them. We spoke to a couple who had reserved beds and popped out to a local market for a few hours?! We are glad the hotel are dealing with this as if everyone used the beds when they needed, there would be no issues. Pool bar service is good - unfortunately we didn’t catch the bar man’s name but he was lovely. A few people mentioned that the pool is accessible by the public - we didn’t experience this as you have to use your gym card to exit and enter the pool from the beach. Pool towels are available in your room, 4 at a time, housekeeping will change these if you leave them on your bedroom floor - avoid leaving them at the pool. We didn’t use the Level Pool but could see it from our room, it was much quieter and there is a bar and seating for lunch around the pool. Gym We love the gym on holiday. The hotel has a gym on two floors, first is the hotel gym (free), level below is Corest Fitness, available to use for €10 daily. You can join their classes for €20. Hotel section lacks free weight space and some machines are needing replacing but was generally very quiet and you were always able to get a spot. It’s closed on Sundays. The hotel run a series of activities throughout the week, such a yoga and volcanic power training. We also ran along the sea front (hard in the wind!). Take water from your room/bar as there is no facility at the gym. Small gym towels are available. Food For an all inclusive hotel we found the food to be of great quality. If you’re after British food, you’ll be disappointed as the evening buffet has different themes; Mexican, Spanish, Canadian, Italian, Japanese, Seafood. There are plenty of fresh salads. Highly recommend asking to have the meat and fish in the glass cases freshly cooked. We had great fish and steak here. Breakfast is vast - continental, fruit, cooked breakfast, lots of pastries, churros and you can enjoy cava and make your own Bloody Mary’s in the morning. All inclusive includes snacks from the Mosaic Bar too, club sandwiches, pizza, burgers and nachos in case you miss the lunch slots or fancy a snack in the afternoon. Lucia, who greets you for dinner is so welcoming and professional. She gave us some great advice on seeing Cesar Manrique sights. We ate in Breeza, the al la carte restaurant one evening, food and service was good. Setting is lovely, great sea views. Closed Sunday and Monday. Drinks Many people have commented on the slow service, but given the size of the hotel and the quality of drinks on offer we were really happy with the service. Special mention to Giovanni for his patience with my orders of Disarrono and fresh lemon! Staff are really hardworking and doing their best to give everyone a great service. We’d like to thank Perez for his excellent service and the daily supply of espresso and his ‘special’ coffee. Such a gentleman. The house red wine and cava are both good, there was a choice of white wine - Lanzarote sweet or dry wine. Cocktails were great - Aperol Spritz, Margaritas were excellent too. Entertainment We are low key entertainment people, so the hotels choice of singers and bands was perfect for us. It’s low key, excellent quality and none of the cabaret/evening show style you find in some resorts. Nice to have a mix of Spanish and English songs. Some guests did get up to slow dance, which is lovely and two guests were clearly semi professional salsa dancers! The majority of guests played card games in the evenings so worth packing these. Spa We had massages at the hotel. Located on the -1 floor. Book in advance as the slots do fill up. Deep tissue and Anti stress massage were both excellent. There are a selection of facial and manicure/pedicures available. If we stay again we will definitely book the day packages, where you have a series of treatments per day. Resort Costa Teguise has a lots of restaurants/bars if you wish to venture out of the hotel. The beach is also lovely. We hired a car to go and see lots of the island, which we would recommend. We used Plus car and we parked for free in the hotel car park. Roads in Lanzarote are good, quiet and most places can be reached in under an hour. Famara beach, Cesar Manrique foundation, Lagomar, jardin des cactus are all worth visiting. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would love to return. The staff here are helpful, professional and care that you have a lovely stay.

Our second visit to this lovely hotel! Great design, open and airy with great indoor gardens and waterfalls. We had a super room with sea view on the third floor, huge superking bed , lots of hanging and drawer space, wall mounted TV. Lots of mirrors, lamps, stylish pale gray furniture ,including two arm chairs and table. Large shower room, marble basin vanity unit and separate toilet, fresh, fluffy towels everyday. The room was cleaned and linens changed by friendly, smiling ladies each day and beverages replenished in fridge too. We were all inclusive, the food is excellent, themed evenings and a huge variety available for all meals. Beverages were all good, cava, gin, red wine, coffees and soft drinks, spoiled for choice! We find the this hotel to be relaxing and welcoming, the staff are always happy to help in any way they can, Sonia, Paco, Pablo, Gabriel all providing excellent service. Well done! We were invited to the Christmas tree and lights switch on in reception , it was lovely , so festive. We are looking forward to visiting in 2023. Hasta la vista!

The hotel is fantastic and so are the staff. Brilliant service at all levels, nothing was too much trouble and the staff are really friendly and helpful. To name a few, Yeray, Abel and Dolgado. Apologies I didn't note everybody's name as they all deserve a mention. The food was lovely, room was gorgeous and the evening entertainment was perfect. There is a female singer with a beautiful voice, also Orlando and Josan deserve a special mention as great musicians and all round entertainers. We couldn't fault this place. It was so tranquil and we came back feeling so relaxed. Hope to see you all again on our honeymoon next year. Massive thanks to you for making our holiday the best ever!

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel. This review is difficult to write because our stay was very mixed. We had a Level Grand Suite which was very nice but things were far from perfect. We did not have a sun umbrella on the balcony when we arrived which should have come with the suite. On asking, one was delivered but did not work at all and the replacement for that was broken but adequate. The spa bath on the balcony was nice but took about 30 mins to fill with tepid water. On the last day due to rain etc we tried to use the inside bath but could only get cold water. Having read previous reviews, we were rather concerned about the stay, however on the first week we could not understand where the complaints came from. We enjoyed the Level breakfast which all seemed to think was good and we enjoyed lunch & dinner in the buffet we thought the selection was good & tasty, the temperature of some dishes was not great but that is quite normal with buffet meals. It was easy to get a table outside and the staff were fast and efficient. The bar was nice and had no problem getting served for drinks. The football World Cup was held whilst we were there and I understand that matches were shown in the bar but sometimes the sound was on quite high which made conversation difficult. Then we got to the second week and things went down hill badly. It seemed there were less guests so we would have thought that things should be even better, however the food in the buffet was not as good and sometimes just cold. Waiter service in the buffet & bar was virtually non-existent. We had to search for a waiter to take our order & then quite often drinks did not arrive. Towel changing was hit & miss, the mini bar in the room were not restocked for 4 days and the room cleaning became poor. The Level pool & bar were very good throughout and our two dinners in the A La Carte Breeza Restaurant were amazing. The staff themselves were nice, police & helpful but certainly the bar & buffet lacked staff the second week. I would have given the review a 5 star for the first week but a 1 star for the second so 3 is a compromise

As someone really interested in architecture especially from the 70s with concrete structure and organic references I have loved staying at this historical place full of cesar manrique references as well as from this master piece from Fernando Higueras. I mentioned as I am not sure everyone appreciate it. Therefore the hotel for me was very unique full of plants and botanic gardens everywhere and pieces of art. Very good idea to have also this hotel as adult only, makes a difference for people like me not being surrounded by annoying kids running around in a place like this. And very good idea to have a selective section of the hotel with a separate pool that gives you restrictive access. We did this for a couple of days and the rest at the normal rate and pool. On the down side, the suite we got for those couple of days didn’t have anything special other that a good view but that you can get with a normal room if you choose carefully or get lucky. For my standards I was really disappointed with the drinks especially beer (poor choice and bad taste beer and only few wines. For a 5 star that is not good). Coffee isn’t good either, but that’s across the entire island it seems. Also it is a shame, at least for people like me, to see some of the low class clientele in this hotel, spoils the scenery…I would ban people in football shirts, and introduce a dress code for meals and inside the premises where some people seem to be confused that they are in Blackpool or in a cheap hotel in Pattaya !! I hate to judge but when you see some of the people you really don’t think you are in a 5 star hotel unfortunately! Saying that many people do make a big effort and if you pass the view of some individuals, we had a very pleasant stay. Hotel staff were all very polite and friendly, special mention to Carlos in the lobby, amazing chap that gave up lots of nice tips and information about the hotel and the island. Minus point for reception at check out that didn’t grant us an extra hour or two for late checkout as our flight was late in the day although we spent quite a bit of extra money taking a superior room on arrival! Can’t give it a 5 rating but that’s definitely a good 4. Hotel will be refurbished in 2023 as I understand it so maybe much improvement will be made!

Bed was very comfy and large . Shower was spacious and quite powerful . Room was clean , air con worked well . Room was cleaned daily and towels changed when required . Had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and hand soap in bathroom . Now for the restaurant , food was good and varied but some nights there wasn’t enough staff to accommodate how many in the restaurant. They had meat and fish on display behind glass and you asked for,it it be cooked but most of the time there wasn’t any chef to do this as they were so busy topping up . There were always nice desserts and sweets 🍬 bit strange for an adult only place . However no ice cream to be seen , but choc sauce and sprinkles there daily ?? Pool was nice but a tad chilly and salt water too. Gym was ok but too warm for me , hubby’s used it once . Beach was lovely as only a walk down some steps to a lovely little beach . Staff were friendly and helpful . Wouldn’t give it 5 stars maybe 4/4+. It’s getting a refurb from end of year so hoping it’s upmarket a little.

This is a really lovely hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We were greeted with cava and a really pleasant check in. The sun beds are plentiful so no need to reserve, the bar service is efficient and table service is offered in the restaurant and main bar areas. The food is good, plenty of variety so always possible to create a nice meal. The cold meats and cheeses were fabulous, the poached eggs at breakfast were delicious too. However, Teguise has some great restaurants so we did eat out a few times as it would be a shame not to. Bedroom was perfect, amazing sea view, great walk in shower. The fridge re stocked daily. This is a great hotel for the cost. It’s not completely 5 star but it didn’t cost a 5 star price either. It’s an excellent hotel for the money in an amazing position in a great resort. And if you are friendly and smile you will never wait long for a drink. If your looking for a really nice above average hotel, for a reasonable price with lots of extra 5 star touches then this could be for you. My only slight complaint was that the pool was so cool which is probably due to its size. However, the hotel was so attractively built and furnished I will happily put up with the cold water and look forward to visiting again soon.
