Absolutely loved our stay at Gratitude - beautifully appointed, everywhere you looked was a charming picture. Lovely helpful staff and nice to share breakfast with other travellers each morning. Massage in rooftop room was very much enjoyed. I would like to return one day - loved it!

We were so pleased to find this carefully restored house in a quiet street in the French quarter. Super friendly owner and staff looked after us from the moment we arrived. It feels like your own home, the shady courtyard, roof terrace and understated comfort made this our favourite place so far in India. Nothing is too much trouble, and...

My 3rd trip to Pondi and the best place I have stayed so far. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Thought I wouldn't like the communal table at breakfast however found I really liked this aspect as everyone learned some tip from the other travelers. Loved the South Indian breakfasts that changed daily. Located just two blocks from beach and...

My stay at Gratitude was most enjoyable. The hotel was very quaint, quiet, and centrally-located with lots of good eating options within walking distance. Each room was different and had its own charm. Met several residents during my 5 days there, and had a great time chatting with them. The staff were extremely friendly, concerned and helpful - thank you,...

We loved our short stay in the French area of Pondicherry. Sarayana at reception made our stay comfortable and arranged taxis to take us to Auroville to see the beautiful centre there. The house is beautifully restored heritage home and easy walking to restaurants, the waterfront, Sri Aurobindo Ashram and handicraft shops. 3 hr drive from Chennai by taxi arranged...

A nice heritage hotel to stay. Nice breakfast and ok staff. The wifi isn't too stable or fast but ok. Set back was the 'hot water'. There's a little water heater but it makes the water warm for only 10 seconds after that it's just luke warm or just not ice cold, depending on your viewpoint. Got a boiler from...

Hi, thank you for writing a review. Since we provide only free wifi (no payment option for high speed usage), it has a basic speed for unlimited use. We have two such routers to make internet available in the common lounge areas as the walls of the house are too thick for wireless connectivity. Regarding the hot shower, we do...

Our decision to book in Gratitude after seeing its site made our trip worthy. We felt good right at the entrance with Millingtonia Hortensis in full bloom releasing its aroma, coupled with the warm welcome accorded by the staff. After seeing every artifact and the way rooms and bath rooms are designed without destroying its legacy, one can understand the...

Located only a few hundred meters from the bay, its close to the busy part of the city without sacrificing the much needed serenity.
