We had lunch there on a partly cloudy day. The staff was polite enough to make arrangement and move us inside from the open courtyard which was prone to rain (if it did).

Yes UBUD it self is quiet safe . There are no security guard here but was a safe place to be at . You may need a flash light in the night to walk to your room . But the place is worth staying . You won't regret staying here
