Upon arrival to the hotel, I was happy to arrive at this Sikkimese property. It's unfortunate that I have to write a negative review based solely on my repetitive interactions with the manager. On my first night, there was warm water for only a couple minutes and it was late in the evening so I decided I could shower the...

Excellent location, little bit out of the main MG marg crowded place. Excellent heritage Hotel. Stayed in the New Annex Building, styled in Sikkimese architecture. Does not have proper Restaurant, but allow food from outside. Excellent value for Money

Netuk house 1st floor rooms are small but functional. The bathroom is small but facilities are there. The hotel serves you filter water only & packaged drinking water is charged. On a clear day the view of Kanchanjungha from room is just awesome. All food is prepared on demand with love. Overall pleasant stay.

The first thing that will hit you is - how lovely the architecture is, and the hospitality. Everyone there is eager to help you out! The set up is tad B&Bish, and that adds to the charm. The food is fantastic!

Sitting above the city but not far from MG Mall it has a fantastic view - if the mountains are out. The style is lovely, rooms are good sized, shower with hot water, fantastic breakfast. Internet is tricky depending on where you stand or sit. This was one of the best hotels we had in Sikkim.

The most warm homely feeling from a hotel. It used to be like an Inn on the Silk Route. It is a sweet beautifully and traditionally decorated hotel. We stayed in the best room on ground floor, its door opening to a large courtyard. We could clearly see the Kunchenjunga mountain range in December. We stayed for 6 days. There...

Rooms are done up very well in Sikkimese decor and all essential amenities are available. Just a short walking distance uphill from MG Road. They also have a lawn. Try to take rooms in the annexe wing rather than the main building - it's more airy and better chance for valley or mountain view. Food choice is limited and not that...

Just spent 2 nights here and had a very nice stay. It is January so it's cold in the mountians but the staff at Netuk House were very accommodating making sure we had a heater in the room and even providing hot water bottles at bedtime to insure a nice warm night. We had several meals in the restaurant and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ne meaning pilgrimage and tuk meaning child, Netuk house, nestled in the heart of Gangtok, is an exemplar of traditional Sikkimese hospitality. Built in the late fifties, it was the home of Gellong Netuk Lama, executive counsellor to the Chogyal and one of Sikkim's affluent and prominent politicians. The house continues to remain in the family, serving as a home for generations to come.
