We arrived initially to be told about a 10 pound early check in fee , which is ridiculous for half an hour, especially as a percentage of the room rate. We did not pay. When returning to our rooms from our event we found music played so loud it kept us up until around midnight. Breakfast with the DIY coffee...

We booked a suite ( got room 8) and the room we got was basically a larger bedroom with a settee at the end. When I queried it we were shown to room 14 which was much better room - it was much more nicely decorated , larger and had 2 TVs.. The photos on their website show room 14...

Following a long journey from Cornwall, we needed somewhere to stay over night with our baby. The Boundary was the first hotel from the motorway (which was at a standstill) so we checked in. We were informed there was a function and that we would hear low level noise. The staff member explained that she had booked us into a...

Room spacious and clean if a little dated. 20% off food prices for guests. OK for an overnight, good value for money. Well located for visiting local attractions, e.g. Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle and Peak District.

We found the hotel difficult to find as we are not SatNav users, but the staff were friendly and room clean and quiet at the back. We had our evening meal at the Boundary and the young waitress was excellent, an asset to the company. Breakfast had a good selection, it was hot and plentiful. Thank you.

We booked through bookings.com which didn't warn us that this hotel is literally above a function room. We had parties both nights we stayed, the first night wasn't too bad but the second night was awful- it was so loud we felt like we were at the party, and even after the music stopped, the guests were shouting and screaming...

A good choice for touring the Peaks. It's always a bit disconcerting to have to check in at a busy bar, but we were greeted and processed quickly. The rooms were in an adjacent block over business offices, so guaranteed quiet at the weekends. Our room was very spacious, with an extra sofa bed, and every comfort. The decor was...

Stayed here for two nights in a family room based on the price (£70/night inc breakfast for 3) while visiting the Peak District. The location is a bit strange (a business park right in the middle of a housing estate) but 5 mins from the M1 and 10 miles from Gullivers Matlock. Our room (no.15) was massive and the accomodation...

Booked online through late rooms. When we arrived took a little while to be checked in but the bar was busy so we waited. One girl came over and took our details, got us to fill out some forms and told us the information regarding breakfast times etc. She then went and got what we think was the manager to...

Having stayed in the area several times in the past few years, this was our first time at the Boundary. The staff were very welcoming and professional, the room (Room 1) was pleasant in a 'nearly Premier Inn' style. We were warned about the possibility of noise from the over 30s disco in the function room, but actually heard not...
