The hotel is in the quiet resort of Punta Prima, just across the road from a lovely beach. There are a number of restaurants and a couple of bars close buy, but nothing noisy. It’s also not only twenty minutes or so from the airport and the main town Mahon. The hotel is well run and very clean. Guests stay on a ‘half board’ basis. There are a wide selection of breakfast foods including cereals, yoghurts, fruits, cooked meats, cheeses, breads and pastries plus hot foods, sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans etc. For dinner each evening there is soup, a salad bar, a fish, meat and veggie option plus chips, vegetables etc plus a selection of sweets. The are snacks available from the bar at lunchtime. The staff make the hotel. Ferran and his team look after the dining room and bar whilst the reception team all appear to be able to seamlessly switch from one language to another. If you are looking for nightlife, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing break, then the Xaloc Playa is for you.…
We live near Malaga but really enjoyed a break to this beautiful island after over 30 years! The hotel was lovely, close to the beach and restaurant's. The hotel was fantastic, great staff and excellent breakfasts. Lovely pool 🙂 plenty of sunbeds but a little close together, still great.
Just returned from this great hotel. I can't praise the staff enough they are so hard working and very friendly we have now visited a few times and some of the staff now welcome us back like old friends. Roo.s are very clean no fridge or kettle top tip if you like a cuppa take your own travel kettle. We alway e.mail hotel to see if we can have a sea view room. These have a bath and overhead shower maybe not for everyone but we like it. Other rooms have walk in showers. Food is buffet style breakfast is great loads of choice. Evenings average for 3 star always something we could have. We can't wait to visit again.
8th or so visit here, we love the quiet and kind atmosphere here, nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, Sandy, Moncha, Marion, Rosanna , Ferren, Charlie make this place amazing. Also pleased to report the hospital in Mahon is amazing. We had a lovely holiday, cleaning was not as good as previous years but they fix things super quick so my heart will always be berm
My 2nd visit to this hotel and I wasn't dissapointed. It is a beautifully cleaned and relaxing hotel. Our room over the sea and town and was so quiet. The staff are friendly and very hardworking. Marion and staff on reception always striving to help with any questions. We reserved a mini fridge which was there when we arrived at a very reasonable cost. Ferran and his staff in the restaurant and bar area worked meticulously all day till late. The restaurant was clean and tables constantly cleared. They remember the guests and always seem to know where you sit and what you order. Service is amazing. Although I was very I'll the last few days of my holiday the staff at hotel xaloc made our holiday extremely enjoyable and relaxing. I hope we can return again some day thank you.
This is a good hotel for a 3 star. Always spotlessly clean everywhere. Rooms turned over daily. Staff are fabulous. Charlie and Rosana on the bar are wonderful. Pool has plenty of beds. Very quiet though, as was the resort, although it was mid September and places closing down, but a good base to travel to Mahon on the bus.
The location is absolutely beautiful and the hotel is simple, spotlessly clean and good value. The rooms are ok basic and are kept clean by housekeeping. Indeed all of the staff are fantastic and all work extremely hard. The things that let the hotel down are the food - it’s really basic and not good. There were an awful lot of flies which really was off putting. Also the sun beds are just dreadful and are looking very grubby & many were broken. Sadly I don’t think we will return which is a real shame.
Fantastic hotel. This hotel is just perfect. The cleanliness, the rooms, the pool, breakfast. The staff are so friendly and so helpful. Honestly I can only recommend this hotel. The location is across the road from the beach. Close to the restaurants. The train nearby is a bit tricky. Very full, don’t sit in the back. Didn’t enjoy it much. Italian restaurant just up the road, turn right when coming out of the hotel is excellent. Best pizza ever. Just stay here. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
It is very difficult to write something new about this hotel, there are already many reviews. I can only agree with the positive comments, the hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff were absolutely fantastic, and the room we had was brilliant. The shower was out of this world and was a pleasure to use after a hard day sitting around the pool. We never had a problem getting a sunbed although some towels were put out early. The pool was very clean and well maintained etc. The food could be repetitive and bland but this is no different to any other half board/all inclusive hotel I have stayed at. The beach is only a minute away, right on your doorstep. The resort is very, very quiet indeed and we struggled to get a drink out of the hotel. The hotel only had entertainment 2 nights a week, the other nights were very, very quiet, fine if you like it like that. All in all a very relaxing holiday which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would I go back ? Hell yes, but only for a week this time, a fortnight seemed too long due to the lack of things to do,…
We stayed in this hotel for a week recently with my teenage children and elderly parents and I can't praise it highly enough.. It's spotlessly clean, the staff are all wonderful, the rooms are lovely. Our bathroom seemed like new and the walk in shower was very powerful and a joy to use! The air conditioning was very quiet and not too cold. The food was good and fairly varied. The snack bar was very reasonably priced and offered a good choice. The pool was well maintained and we never had a problem getting sun beds at any time of day. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the beach and resort centre which offers a few restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets as well as a pharmacy. Genuinely can't fault this hotel, highly recommended.
