Just returned from a 2 week stay at hostal punta prima (isle de air beach apartments) With jet 2. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to the penthouse oh my god was it worth it. You get the whole of the top floor with 3 terraces. The one at the front was massive with amazing views of the sea, beach and the whole of punta prima. Very well equipped for self catering. Cleaned and towels changed every day. Limited English Channel on the 3 TVs but only watched news a couple of times. Could use the facilities of isle de air apartments but we didn’t preferred to stay on beach which you have direct access to. Lovely restaurants to eat out in in punta prima and you can get to nearby places like Cala Torret and binibeca by land train and taxi taxi really reasonable at 7 euros. Couldn’t fault jet 2 check in flight transfer and rep all good will definitely be returning

This would be our second visit here to these apartments situated at Punta Prima. We reviewed already the last time visit but certainly deserves an update to commentary. The accommodation is splendid, spacious, clean and well looked after. It's always possible to find faults of course; there were no bolts on the bathroom doors - if that would be an issue for some. Out of every type of accommodation here at Punta Prima Menorca, this is the closest to the beach; from the outer gate of the apartments, the beach is to be reached within 38 seconds, a mere 52 paces. There are many styles of building around the bay but this has to be the best; blending in so well and is certainly the cleanest and coolest looking with its unique sand coloured brickwork. It's about the only building that is not to be painted. We needed only one room but paid €100 euros extra for an apartment facing the sea. Otherwise you'll face the activity park - but still better than a car park. The accommodation here on the first floor (no elevator) would sleep six, it has a large terrace and is maintained by friendly staff. There is an apartment also on the second floor which we have not seen. It must be enormous as the terrace is the width of the whole of the three first floor accommodations. Here we find supplied towels changed daily, tea towels and wash up liquid, hand soap at all basins. Very close by are three Spar shops, all with reasonable prices, but when buying your souvenirs to take home, check all the outlets which have the same goods but you can pay double at times. The beach is cleaned regularly and has three lifeguards on duty through the day. They deal with all crises including the some times jellyfish sting. Toilets are available also for wheelchair access. The accommodation also has a wheelchair available. This can be useful to help someone to reach the beach via the wooden walkway. Beds were fine and made up daily. Showers had good power and were easily adjustable. Utensils are of good standard. Ready for you to use is microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine with soap tablets, four ring cooker with oven, toaster and fast boil kettle. Also is available to use the iron and hair dryer. Anything amiss is to be reported to the friendly staff of the hotel reception. The safe is in the main bedroom and operates with a key, collected at the hotel reception for the holiday duration with a fee and deposit. On arrival, it is necessary to be dropped off at the main hotel reception to receive the key, then walk 10 minutes with cases to the “hostal.” Check out also there at main reception ahead of time but then can wait, with luggage, for pick up at the Hostal if getting transfer to the airport. Our transfers were with Jet 2 holidays - a seamless operation. All facilities of the hotel are free to use by self catering guests of the Hostal. They include the swimming pool and games. All meals can be taken there too by purchasing vouchers to pay for the selected meals. Local restaurants are already very close and seemed good value. English, Spanish and German tastes are well catered for. We were pleased that at the Michelangelo, the cannelloni, lasagne, ravioli and paella which would be expected to be burdened with garlic, all contained none. Wi-fi is also available at the hotel reception but it's to be paid for. Not so at the Hostal where it’s always free. Signal is best nearest the office where is displayed the password. TV and radio channels are available at the hostal building via the roof aerial and/or the large satellite dish. Oddly, the only English speaking channels are RT, France 24, itv London, itv 2, itv 4 and itv Be. BBC channels are not available through the TV. Sky News is available live via YouTube. Radio channels will of course be accessible through the free Wi-fi by TuneIn or other apps, but if taking a portable radio from the UK, the long wave signal on 198 is audible in darkness hours for Radio 4 and World Service. Nights were quiet though there is entertainment till late at the close by beach restaurant. The fact that it's the nicest building and is the nearest to the beach sells this venue over the rest. The flower bed was planted but a little neglected for the weeds and dead-heading. We could not resist tending to make look healthy again. Shops and restaurants are close and the whole of the seaward side of Punta Prima can be seen from here. This is currently, undoubtedly the tops.

Just returned from a fabulous 4 nite stay at Hostel Punta Prima with a gratefully received upgrade to the penthouse. As mentioned before this penthouse is basically the whole of the top floor with 3 terraces ideal for us sun worshipers. Much time was spent on the huge main terrace looking out to sea. The master bedroom opens out onto this main terrace as does the lounge. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves......so relaxing. These apartments are literally on the beach and a short walk.. 2 minutes to the handfull of restaurants, 2 supermarkets and an ATM machine. Housekeeping/maid service offered daily by lovely friendly staff. The apartment is very well equipped and clean. The resort it's self is exceptionally clean. No rubbish on the streets and beach ash trays available. We visited right at the end of season therefore a couple of the restaurants had already closed for winter but this was not a problem for our short stay. Gem of a find. X

Just back from a fabulous week in the penthouse apartment. My daughter emailed in advance as was our anniversary and requested the penthouse. Had to pay extra but was well worth it! The apartment was the whole of the top floor and the view on the enormous balcony was divine. The check in was fast and efficient and I would like to thank the staff once again for the surprise gift of a bottle of cavafor my anniversary a lovely touch. The apartment was very well equipped and immaculately clean. Maid service was excellent. Cannot fault these apartments. Thankyou to the management and all the staff, we had a brilliant time. Will return in the future.

Booked this through Jet2 and cannot fault anything about it. Linked to the nearby Isla del Aire aparthotel whose facilities are available to occupiers. Had a two bedroom first floor apartment which was very spacious and well-equipped. View from the balcony was incredible especially early in the morning with a great sunrise. Only a few steps to the excellent beach. Air con worked well at night - especially necessary when it was 38C during the day! Great little relaxed resort with a decent restaurant or two and good supermarkets and bakeries. Would highly recommend.

Isla del Aire apartamentos, the annexe of Comitas Hotel is known locally as Hostal Punta Prima.   Booked through Jet 2 website. Transfer was simple from the airport to the hotel.  Jet 2 rep was spotted at the airport and directed travelers to the appropriate coach.  One has to book in at the main hotel and the key to the apartment will become available around midday.  It's not far to walk to the apartment (maybe 7 minutes) though one would be more pleased not to also drag along the suitcase.  The first supermarket (Spar) is passed along the way.  Two more Spar markets will be found along the sea front, together with a larger independent Supermarket.  All sell fresh bread and are maybe slightly nearer to the apartment.   Eleven apartments are here.  Yes it's true, it was formerly a hostel but each is spacious and modern.  7 have sea views, worth having of course.  The building itself is clean and well tended, with only the privacy screening between apartment balconies (a plastered brick wall) totally out of character with the building.  These are not so noticeable from within. A green and tidy garden is on the seaward side of the building but this is, curiously, totally inaccessible.   Excellent facilities are here.  In apartment 2 were microwave, washing machine, hair drier, hob, oven, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, one double en suite bedroom with bidet, one twin bed room, separate shower room and a sofa in the large living space that converts to a double bed.  Dining table with four chairs is also in the living space area and a further table with six chairs is on the balcony which can be illuminated.  One sunbed and two easy chairs are also to be found here.  A cupboard included cleaning utensils, iron, ironing board, beach umbrella (just useful to bring or purchase a screw-down parasol base.  The amount of storage space in the bedrooms was quite unbelievable.  We think only 10% could ever be used.  The bathrooms are bright, modern and with power.  Rooms are tended daily.  Only one reasonable sized towel per person is issued. Maybe it can be asked for more.  Conversely, toilet rolls are here a-plenty.     A 32 inch flat screen Samsung TV is present.  It seems not so big, as the chairs are set so far away.  It is high definition but only on a few non-English channels.  The UK selection is ITV London, ITV 2, ITV 4, ITV Be; a strange selection since a large aerial mast on the roof is accompanied by a large satellite dish.  There are no BBC channels, nor Sky News.  However the latter can be sourced live via You Tube.  The WiFi is efficient and reliable, reaches as far as the balcony.  With long wave, Radio 4 is to be heard from late evening till just before dawn.    The apartments are less accessible to some visitors.  There are 9 steps to the apartments on the ground floor and a further flight of 17 takes you to the next level.  We saw children in buggies being transported by bouncing one step at a time.  This would be not possible for those needing wheelchair transports. We found the air conditioning more than efficient and had to turn it off; this may suggest different experience in other apartments.   This was a self-catering holiday so we used only the local shops to access fresh produce.  Many restaurants are close and the beach can be reached in just one minute; from the balcony to the lifeguard tower is less than 50 metres. The lifeguards are very attentive and will clear the entire beach if lightning is predicted.  Information on safe area is often ignored so you will hear the whistle blown often for bringing bathers to safety.     We considered this a safe, clean and friendly resort.  Most of the tourists were Spanish, German or British.  Staff seemed to communicate in any of these languages.  The apartments are first rate.

Spent 2 weeks at these apartments on an all inclusive basis. Isla del Aire apartments are a short walk from the apartment. We stayed at the complex last year and would look to stay at the beach apartments should we return.

This was such a great find, a spectacular view of the beach and sea from our balcony. The rooms were great, fully equipped kitchen/lounge/diner, shower room, twin bedroom for the kids, double room for us with large ensuite bathroom with shower. We didn't even mind carrying our pushchair up to the first floor as we got such great views up there. The only downside was the rooms were too hot, we could cope in the daytime, but it made sleep difficult. We asked twice at Reception if it was broken, but they said not and it did seem to be working, just not enough! I think they put a block on it going too low to prevent high leccy bills! Would have been 5 stars if air con was better. We went all inclusive so got use of all the facilities at Isla Del Aire hotel just up the road which was fine.

Just come back from a 10 night stay on an all-inclusive basis. The hotel itself was spotlessley clean, cleaned every day. Towels changed daily (if needed to). Comfortable beds. The food itself was served about a 5 minute walk away at the Islas del Aire apartments. A good variation of meals avaialble for the first 7 days then repeated again but at least not the same every night! Always hot and fresh, no problems to report. Pool was good, kids loved it! Entertainment not bad, kids mini-disco every night was the same but after that seemed to change. Very good overall. Only problem we encountered was the air conditioning. On nights of 20 degreed plus, it simply wasn't powerful enough to cool anyone down at night. I would easily have rated the hotel 5 out of 5!

Totally amazing, great location on the beach. Everything you could possibly need in the apartment, the kitchen was fully equipped, fridge freezer, even a dishwasher. We had the penthouse and can not praise it enough, friendly staff. Only regret is that we were not there longer.
