We really enjoyed the miramar, the food was lovely, only gripe absolutely freezing pool which was a shame as the sunbeds were so comfortable, location exceptional as very close to beach restaurants and shops and the train station which was handy for trips to Barcelona, sitges and tarragona

It’s the old cliche of you get what you pay for. We didn’t realise that full board didn’t even include tap water with our meals. We were charged $3.60 for a jug of tap water so opted to go all inclusive. We ended up paying for a day that we couldn’t use due to being picked up at 9:45am. Josina at reception went above and beyond to help guide us around the city. Whilst the hotel is prime location for the beach, this is a hotel for Spanish residents not tourists as Josina was the only person who spoke English at reception. On arrival we paid for a fridge which was not delivered so had to chase up more than once. Bedding was filthy on two of the beds. The House keeper asked us to wait until tomorrow for them to be changed. Thank god for google translator. Had to go to reception 4 times to ask for clean bedding. The soap dispenser in one of the bathrooms was empty and there was a visible build up of dust on top of both soap dispensers in the bathrooms. The male bar staff were rude and on more than one occasion served the Spanish guests who were stood behind me in the line. The food selection was ok if you can get over the partial cooked fried eggs and tough bread. The sea food collection was good. Most of the shops are shut during the day and the strip outside the hotel gets very busy at night especially on the weekends. If you are all Inclusive be mindful that this does not include the bar on the beach so you will have to travel back and forth to get drinks and snacks. This hotel is perfect if you like the beach but as with the hotel if you don’t speak Spanish you may have to use google translate to communicate. If you’re on the first floor be prepared to hear the hoover in reception from 6am onwards. Also on the first floor your room is cleaned very early in the morning.

As soon as we arrived we was greeted with, 'your room is not the best, but you will sleep', I wish. The room was clean but it was located by the laundry room, were the staff would normally stay, next door to the staff meeting room, so we were wokenen up early every morning with staff shouting and banging metal crates outside the door, absolute nightmare, we missed breakfast most mornings.

I was in this hotel from 20.08.2022 - 27.08.2022 (7 Nights) in all inclusive with my girlfriend. We are at the age of 29 and 27. I havent written any review before, but i decided to write because our stay in this hotel was amazing. The staff were excellent, the room were clean. The location is also perfect because the hotel is situated on the beach so you leave the hotel and you are sunbathing in 30 second after you leave the hotel. You have many times the same food for breakfast, lunch and dinner but they are trying to make some differences so they are changing 6-7 types of food per lunch/per dinner. We have also visited Barcelona by train and the train station is situated nearby hotel (it took cca. 6 minutes walking from hotel to train station). The way from Calafell to Barcelona took about 55 minutes so its really good and if you are travelling with train the railways are situated nearby the beaches and you can enjoy incredible views from train too. We were totally satisfied from the hotel, staff, location and everything. The water was about 28 degrees hot and everyday we had small waves so we also really enjoyed our stay at the beach. I found only one bad thing that was the coffee. The coffee from the machine at breakfast in the hotel its horrible, we didn t like it. But there is a bar inside the hotel where you can eat, drink from 10.30 am to 23.30 pm things such as sangria, water, coffee, beer, alcoholic drinks, non alcoholic drinks and have some snack as hot dog, burger, fries and also ice cream. I would not reccommend to eat burger and hot dog because they are also horrible to eat. So except the morning coffee, hot dogs and burgers in bar I can say everything was amazing and clean. Besides that we can recommend the holiday in 4R Miramar Calafell. Big thanks for our perfect holiday to 4R Miramar Hotel.

This was an unexpected visit but a worthwhile one. The rooms are expected but incredible value. The staff is what makes this place great. From dealing with issues (someone smoking in the lift ffs) to helping us out. Ive stayed in few places who could have done more. Yes 100% id stay again and I hope to in the future. Pool is small but enough. Great cocktails. Great service again. Maria at front of house was brilliant. See you again soon

I loved watching sunrise and sunset from my private balcony! The bed was comfortable which was super important with my bad back. The walk in shower was spacious and the modern slim desk was just right for my chromebook work. I liked the variety of pillows and the sheer curtain that allowed me to enjoy the sound of the waves from my bed. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke a variety of languages. I enjoyed speaking English, German and Spanish at check in! The only thing I didn't like was being locked out of the mini-fridge in the room. I could have definitely used it during my week stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel, however, and hope to stay there again!

I would highly recommend the 4r miramar hotel in calafell. The main reason our holiday at the 4r miramar hotel was exceptional was the outstanding customer service we received at reception. One of the receptionist I would like to name is josina Corrina. Josina Corrina welcomed us with an amazing smile, anything we asked her for was never too much she met all of our needs as a customer she is definitely an advocate for this hotel Kathleen Giles

This was a nice birthday 60th treat from my wife. We have been to this hotel since 2010 and will continue to do so. The upgrades they have done since we have been coming here have been for the better. Plenty of staff recognize us now, so we are made to feel very welcome. The staff speak good English so we have no problems checking in. The rooms are bright and modernised to a good standard. The food at breakfast and dinners times are plentiful and a there is a good selection (and tasty) at all times. Yes we are coming back in September 2019.

We just wanted a week away with some sunshine and quiet but something to do at night. Looking for something to do in the evenings and preferably some shops to look at while out at night whilst walking to a bar. Hotel was lovely and clean. Towels changed every day but the bath towels were a little on the small size. Rooms were also cleaned every day and had no complaints. Shower leaked in the bathroom but was fixed the same day it was reported. We asked for a fridge as I am diabetic and need to keep insulin cool whilst there. This was duly brought to the room just after we arrived. Although there was a built is cupboard for the fridge, the guy just placed it alongside and plugged it in and left the room. As it took up space we needed, we un-plugged it, opened the door of the built in cupboard, lifted the fridge into the space and plugged it in a closed the door. Fitted a treat and gave us more space in the bedroom! We had to pay an extra charge for the fridge which was around 17 Euros I think, but I had to have a fridge. There was a good choice of food but I found throughout the week there was only chips available, the vegetables were only just warm and the only other potatoes were boiled and they were cut into quarters and mixed in with the warm vegetables. There was a very good selection of puddings including ice cream, yoghurts and fresh fruit. However, we found the hotel was mainly full of French, Spanish and German guests and there was constant chatter at each meal time which was sometimes very over-bearing. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful but not many spoke a lot of English. Entertainment was not the best - we are in our late 60's but we are not into line dancing, waltzing, bingo and dancing to the twist which seemed to be the evening events. It may be that out of the busy season this is what is normally put on for coach parties etc. We walked along the beach path - which was lovely - and found some great bars and spent most of our evenings in one or two of the bars watching TV and speaking to other people in there. Not many shops were open as it not the main season, but we found it quite expensive maybe because it is some years since we have shopped for anything in Spain. A hotdog, beefburger, large beer and diet cola cost nearly £18! The pool was lovely, but only small with no more than 25 sunbed. The remaining area was used for tables and chairs for people to eat - say around 5 tables/4 chairs in the sunny area and another 4 tables/chairs in the shady area. The hotel has a large area in the front for people to sit and eat outside if you are only half board as we were. There were groups of foreign students staying there at the same time as us so the restaurant was very busy in the morning and we did struggle to get a table for 2 a couple of mornings. For us - not enough to do in Calafell and did not want to get a train to Salou or Barcelona, and too much noise in the dining room at meal times. Could not fault the hotel for cleanliness and friendliness.

A receptionist is the face of the hotel. The first impression. Should make customers feel welcome. Management needs to keep these things in mind when recruiting. The night-shift receptionist never smiled at us, almost gave us an angry look because we didn’t speak Spanish.. another kept asking us when we are going to pay the bill, as they had made a mistake of not charging everything up front. She must have stopped to tell us three times- really annoying. We had to change our key card every day, as they blocked it , probably because they thought we were going to leave without paying! Other than that, the rooms are great, breakfast is delicious and plenty, you literally sleep with the sound of waves and the staff at restaurant and housekeeping are lovely. But we wouldn’t come back, as the receptionists really made us feel uncomfortable.
