The Repose, is an oasis of calm in the heart of Sale's traditional medina, Rabat. Lovingly restored by the owners, Rachid and Jan, this luxury riad has been renovated and decorated using traditional materials and craftsmanship to give a haven of peace and tranquility. The whole riad oozes Moroccan charm and each of the 4 suites has its own unique identity. The salon is ideal for dining in the cooler months, reading a book or playing games. The courtyard is great for sipping tea, listening to the splashes of the fountain, while the terrace is fabulous for breakfast, sunbathing or siestas in the shade. With Rachid and Jan on-site, the hospitality and customer service are second-to-none and the combination of their local knowledge and awareness of international expectations ensures a warm and comfortable stay.

This is a beautiful, relaxing and very well run Riad. It's difficult to add to the overwhelmingly positive comments other than to confirm than Jan is very personable, helpful and extremely well organised. Nothing is too much bother and her infectious enthusiasm and

We couldn't have had a better experience at The Repose. Jan and Rachid are fabulous hosts who will do all they can to ensure your stay is comfortable. The Mango Room was luxurious and had all the facilities we could have wanted. When we weren't doing a cooking class with Jan or

My husband and I stayed at the Repose our first night in Morocco after lots of flight delays and rescheduled travel plans. We booked the day before our stay, and had hoped to arrive mid-day, taking the train from Casablanca. Our flight didn’t land until 10, and we missed the

Found this riad on booking.com but rather contacted them directly. It was not planed in advance, but the best stay we had on our short trip in Morocco. Clean, nicely appointed, with a care of every detail. Great breakfast. Fantastic massage.

Jan and Rachid at The Repose completely made our entire trip. We only got to stay with them 3 nights but they impacted our entire 10 days in Morocco. The Repose really is an oasis - so very comfortable, homey, welcoming, and relaxing. But the best part is their service. The

Dear Laura Ben Thank you for your interest in our riad. Yes, we offer cooking classes. Normally only for clients but, depending on our availability, we could try and fit you in. We go shopping together in the medina for fresh ingredients in the morning and then prepare a traditional Moroccan salad, a tajine and dessert and then serve you your results for lunch. This is 400dh per person, minimum 2 people per class. Thank you very much. Kindest regards, Jan and Rachid

Dear Judith Willetts Thank you for your question and interest in our riad. Yes, we can arrange a taxi to pick you up from RBA airport and bring you direct to our riad. he charges 150dh and would meet you in arrivals holding a sign saying The Repose and your name. You pay him directly or we can pay him and put it on your bill. Yes, you are very welcome for evening meal. It is 200dh for a 3 course home-cooked organic meal, served in the cosy salon downstairs or on the roof terrace under the stars. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries. Kindest regards, Jan and Rachid
