Excellent place to stay, friendly people, breakfast is basic, but fine. Large room, free wifi, pleasant rooftop. The area is not so interesting though. Furthermore, the rates of the hotel were quite high. We were used of 'ok' prices for stays in Marrakech, Casablanca, Fez (€10-25/night). This hotel was too expensive for this location and for what you get.

We stayed for two nights at Dar el Mouhit and it was beautiful! The hostess, Amina, was amazingly friendly and helpful, and made an incredible dinner of couscous and veggies for us although it was only supposed to be breakfast that was included. She did not speak English, only French and Arabic, but we found ways to communicate that contributed...

After parking the car at around 20 meters from the riad, I still had to ask for directions since the entrance is in a very small street in the medina. Once the doors of the riad opened, a feel of calm came over me. It was a relatively small riad, with very nice and clean rooms and a beautiful terrace...

When we arrived to Sale, we didn't expect to find a so splendid house behind that door. The architecture and decoration were really authentic. The host was helpful: he picked us up from the train station and adviced about places to visit in Rabat. We appreciated the quality of cook and the nice point of view that we had from...

I was very disappointed by my stay at this hotel. The images are deceptive and are not representative of what we experienced. The place was incredibly jaded and freezing cold. The host rude and unhelpful. The area was very poor, unattractive and dangerous, with groups of youths hanging outside the riad ready to fleece you out of money and generally...

stayed here for 1 night in May 2008 to break up the train trip from Marrakech to Fes. Although many people probably wouldn't think of visiting Sale I'm glad we did as it was a lovely small town and provided a glimpse of real Morroccan life quite unlike the main tourist places. Jacques picked us up from the train station...

Enjoyed our stay at this nicely renovated traditional riad. Jacques is a wonderful host and the tanjine dinner of turkey, prunes and honey was one of the best we had. The rooms smelled a bit musty, and the breakfast of only bread and juice could be expanded a bit. Overall, would recommend.

A lovely oasis in the medina of Sale (Sale is not that pleasant). We stayed for three nights with my mom in one room and my husband and I in another. It was warm, clean and very comfortable. A beautiful example of a restored riad.

A fantastic and traditional riad, with comfortable rooms and an outstanding main lounge/dining room. The owner, Jacques, is very friendly and cooks an impressive array of food. The beach and local markets are within walking distance.
