We picked this on the basis of the photos on the web (looked gorgeous) and the pool. The view is fabulous. The pool (once cleaned) was refreshing, although could definitely do with the dirt and leaves removing from it. I pulled a few pieces of plastic out before I got in. Staff are friendly. We had the first room on...

We spent a couple nights here, starting on a Sunday for the food festival(which was amazing!). Our room was huge and very clean. Lots of interesting details in the decorations, funky art and wood everywhere. Bed was comfortable. We had A/C, but didn't really need here. The fan provided in the room was sufficient. The location is quiet, but an...

Tried this place and booked over the internet. It looked a bit better then I expected. Or it could just have been the room I was given. It was not furnished and felt un-welcome. The owner - Alberto - however was very kind and welcoming and also showed me around town as well as to Ataco. My conclusion would still...

Juayua is a busy village during the weekend gastronomic food festivals so we decided to book ahead and Hotel Juayua was our only option. We were soooo happy that was the case as this hotel is a total stunner. We walked into a lush grassy lawn complete with cute pool and jaw dropping sunset views out over the nearby volcanoes....

Juayua Hotel was the base of my second weekend getaway from San Salvador. I just happened to know the owner, so it was part of tour package I reserved which including a tour of a coffee plantation, coffee production factory, and hike to Los Chorros de la Calera. During my free time I went into the town to enjoy the...

At the end of a street with a safe place for a car. We looked at all the rooms (5) and chose the brightest (downstairs at the end). This room is actually two - there's a dark inner room with two double beds and a TV off the big bright room with a double and some old stained but comfortable...

Small cozy hotel. The hostess was waiting for us at the door and greeted us by our name. We had a beautiful room with an excellent view of two volcanoes. We got a ATV tour to the Laguna Verde lake, and another to a waterfall, the sightseen was wounderfull. I do recomend it!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel Juayua!!! We stayed for three nights and felt like family. Alberto made our room available early in the day so we could crash after arriving from a red-eye flight. Our three children felt like they were in paradise and spent free time building a house out of bamboo for their resident bunny...

“There are several rooms. We picked the upstairs room with two queens. A bit more rustic but the view was incredible. Downstairs there are three smaller rooms with two beds each and then one large room with two queens and a twin that opens up onto the patio. All have their own feel so you can check the photos out on the website to see what you prefer.”

“If you take the top room you will get a better view. Also the water is hot but you might have to work with the staff to start the switch for it.”

“We loved the wood room downstairs which was great. Only if I had more money I would book the upstairs room as the view is incredible. Unfortunately on our last night some people up there were really noisy and ruined our perfect stay - not that this is the fault of the hotel in any way, but maybe a couple of carpets /rugs upstairs may lesson the noise on the wood boards. Everything else is amazing, and the staff are incredible, the hotel owner even helped us on the phone to get to Guatemala when the bridge was down. Couldn't ask for better and would go back and stay in a flash.”
