The place is something you definetely need to add to your bucket travel list if you are a nature lover. Getting there might be a bit confusing, but it worths once you get there. You can feel that connection with the nature once you open the doors of tiny house and see the beauty of the forest in front of you. Seeing the starts at night will depend of the night sky, but in a clear sky you should be able to look a lot of them. Sleeping listening to crickets, owls and the wind in the trees is a relaxing experience. There are really good restaurants around the area, and some of them even include delievery service. You can also make some guided trips to some cool places close to the place. Chorros de la calera and the seven waterfalls walk is highly recommended, but make sure to get hiking gear to make the trip more comfortable, and take some bath suits with you so you can enjoy the shower and the swim in the refreshing and natural waters coming from the mountain rocks. I loved it.

⚠️I don’t recommend the place at all! I booked 2 domes in November 2023 for a stay at the end of January 2024. As we are 2 couples traveling, we needed 2 domes. I contacted a member of staff directly via WhatsApp to make the reservation, to be sure of getting the 2 domes. We chose El Salvador as a destination to go specially to Kafen Hotel. I made the travel itinerary based on our reservation. We drove over 2 hours to reach the area. After climbing the Santa Ana Volcano, we were looking forward to taking a shower, relaxing in the pool and having a fire with friends. When we arrived, our domes had been given to other people! We found a hostel in the town of Juayua. The hostel environment was so noisy that I couldn't sleep all night (trucks, buses, cars, dogs, construction, people screaming). We had to argue for almost an hour to get a full refund (US$355). We therefore lost our evening having to reorganize and locate elsewhere. the Kafen experience is not the same as a noisy city hotel. Very disapointed. Don't rely on the staff to make your reservations 🚨

It doesn't deserve any stars. They are sold as Glamping and when you arrive there is no hot water in the shower which is essential! There is only cold water in the shower, nothing in the hotel is advertised, we had to leave and they made a thousand excuses and they did not return the money for my reservation, saying that they do not indicate that there is hot water, so they do not offer it... They are scammers.

The facilities are beautiful, they have focused on every detail. From the beds, the dome, the terrace where you can lie down to see the stars 🌟 and the spectacular outdoor bathroom with connection to all of nature.

Without a doubt remembering 😍

The experience was incredible, with my boyfriend we completely disconnected from everyday life to be able to connect with nature. The climate is very pleasant and so is the attention. We did not bring food, however the hotel offers you the option of buying food at a nearby restaurant, it was delicious. Super recommended 🤩

You really have to keep in mind that the concept is clear, camping in a "luxurious" way, that is, it is a tent, therefore you have to consider that there is no comfort of a luxury hotel, (which places it in a place overrated for the price, more than double what similar places cost in Honduras) the place is clean, safe, but it does not have parking, you have to park on the street, it does have the basic services of drinking water (for toilets and personal hygiene) and despite the climate, it does not have water heaters, the staff is very friendly, we must highlight that, but we could not rest, it was very cold at night and there is no heater, nor is it allowed to make a campfire for safety , and during the day the heat cannot be tolerated, even if they have air conditioning, since the domes are plastic they are not able to freeze the space; Furthermore, we were unlucky in that they are building more domes so the noise of the construction, the heat and a drone that boasts of advertising did not allow us to rest at all, there is no pretty view, neither a sunrise nor a sunset In short, a lot of advertising, high expectations, average place, there are better experiences in El Salvador
