The room was close to 90 degrees F when we checked in, there is no air conditioning. There were flies zooming around the room, there were holes in the screens. There was one small table fan. We asked for an additional fan, they didn't have any. We asked to talk to the manager, we were told there was no manager...

Comfortable on the best private beach (National park), dark night skies for star gazing. Dark pebble beach, nice sunsets. Bar and restaurant, captured audience, but good meals. Easy great stop to enjoy west coast ocean views.

Loved the sea view. Be ware that upper level rooms back onto highway 6 and you will hear road noise. Food was big disappointment. We were looking forward to dinner and understood that guests had priority. But then we were informed that there were two big groups with reservations (likely the two big tour buses parked in the lot) and...

Everything about the Punakaiki Resort is awesome whether its the tropical walks/landscaping or the unique separate "cottages" with great views of the ocean and sunset or the fine dining room with great dinners and/or a great breakfast buffet. The "cottages" are very cozy with unique rooms with your own balcony and porthole window on one side of the room. Note:...

I am with a group and we all enjoyed our stay here. The view is perfect, and the ocean is so close it lulls you to sleep. The room was quite hot during the day, but the night was very nice. The room is plain and comfortable, but the bathroom was not super clean. Overall is was nice. We had...

If you can get a second floor room the views are spectacular. The rooms are spacious with your own private balcony. Note that the little biting sandfly is a pain out there. Bathroom is good size and clean. Down side are the mattresses which need to be replaced but not a show stopper.

Right on the beach with the surf breaking in the background. I really mean surf breaking in the background. Rooms are comfortable, but spartan. A great place to just unwind if you have been touring too hard.

Rooms are clean and spacious, decor a little dull. There is kitchenette but no cooking facilities, which is a shame because there are few places to eat. The property is very remote, there are no shops, only a visitors centre where there is a cafe and a tavern further down the road, which seemed to be reasonably priced, nothing within...

We stayed one night at this resort and found it very nice. Our room was ocean facing and we sat on our balcony enjoying the sounds and sights of the ocean waves. The restaurant and bar have great views of the ocean. We were part of a tour group and had the buffet dinner of fish, lamb, and chicken, all...
