The motels were easy to find off Mabel St. The owner was very welcoming and friendly, she gave some good advice about what time to visit Pancake Rocks. Our family unit was pretty spacious, beds were big and the place was neat and clean on arrival. Kitchen was a little dated but perfectly functional for our needs. There was dedicated...

A lovely two bedroom cottage at a good price with an awesome view from my room! Roger gave us a fab welcome with tips what to see, walks etc. Cottage around 100 metres from the sea, and added bonus a short walk from the tavern with good beer and meals. The whole area is beautiful, so glad we found this,...

The motel is adjacent to the Tasman Sea and the sunrise and sunsets are great. There is a glow worm cave within walking distance of the motel. The room was nice and comfortable, but the shower was a little tricky to use. There is no air conditioning and no window screens. This is sand fly country, so bring lots of...

Our group had two rooms, each would hold many more people than we had. Accessing the driveway into the motel is rather difficult to find but once there, no problem. There is a big sea wall of big rocks between the location and the beach and I feel that you understand why the location would not exist without the seawall....

Great little cottage facing the Tasman Sea Coast, and on the back, Paparoa NP! Sun again! Nice accommodations; very private, and close to town and sites! Flowers are beautiful! Another good hike! Another great host!

The Beachfront Motel in Punakaiki was very tricky to find - why don't people sign things properly. Don't turn into the driveway where the sign hangs, because that's not it. Drive past the sign to where the road ends at the pile of dirt, then turn left. It takes you past a lot of rubbish and dirt and you'll think...

This hotel was right next to the ocean. There is no view of the ocean but you can hear the waves. The area was nice and quiet and spacious. There was a lot of room inside the cottage. It was also clean. A great place to get away.

Australian travelers. Large apartment. Big full size kitchen. No actual beach views but it's a 30 second walk. No need to get the "beach front apartments" as none can see it! Save some bucks. Incredibly scenery.

This is a quaint shack perfectly located between the high cliffs and the raging West coast sea. It is the perfect place to switch off technology and reconnect with family and ones self. So many things to do around the area that we wished we stayed an extra night. Would highly recommend self catering as the tavern is the only...
