Stayed for one night, lovely old house on Main Street of Otley lovely room with small ensuite and comfortable bed. Just the two of us but we were made very welcome and advised about where we could eat locally. Lovely breakfast, well presented and plentiful. Will book again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Helen & Tim the owners are lovely hosts, very welcoming and offer an excellent service at their lovely house, I was shown the breakfast room and the lounge and information on arrival. (I have never seen a decanter of port and glasses in a hotel lounge before)! This is the second time I have stayed here, in a room facing...

We stayed on a whim for a night in Otley, and very glad we did so. It's a great town, and Dowgill House was excellent in every way! It's absolutely as welcoming and lovely as it looks in the photos. There's a comfy lounge to use in the evening, and even a pleasant garden to sit out in. Our room...

Stayed for 3 nights, breakfasts were delightful and produce used was of high quality and locally sourced. The 18th century building has been decorated tastefully and period artefacts add to the ambience of the building. Both Helen and Tim were helpful and obliging throughout our stay. Probably the best guest house we have stayed in.

Apparently this was first refurbished in 2008. We visited in March 2011 and then again last week. Everything looks like it is brand new. Very tastefully updated 18th century building in fantastic location at centre of Otley. Public rooms have numerous little artifacts referring to the house's historical origins. Bedrooms are spacious and decorated in sympathetic modern styles and with...

I was in Otley as a trip down memory lane and I wished to stay there for two nights. I found Dowgill House on the internet and booked a room from South Africa. The owners made it clear that this was an owner run establishment without full reception cover, so I needed to give an indication of arrival time and...
