Located between the Champagne region and its capital the city of Reims and Paris, will provide you with the dreams of a time begone. The present shuttle that hosts the hotel is a late 18 beginning of 19th-century structure. However adjacent to it is a château structure which is the original property. The original property is in ruin, but still...

Stepping back in time....dropping into the countryside...to a chateau....with chateau ruins as a focal point and a chateau as your night's lodging! Amazing setting....and awesome room. I had stayed there maybe 15 years ago...and happened upon it by accident and was thrilled....and decided to take my friend to experience the thrill! Loved it again. Dining in a "time warp" of...

Before our holiday we were horrified to read some of the negative comments preceding our visit and were most apprehensive about our forthcoming stay. However, from the first minute of our arrival to the last second of our departure 9 days later we encountered nothing but 6* quality cosseting. We booked room 12 and contrary to the remarks written on...

The hotel is situated out in the countryside and is absolutely beautiful. This hotel oozes old world charm and style, next to ruins of an old castle. There are a few areas where they could upgrade some carpets and such, but the decor is charming and you truly feel like you are in an old castle. We dined in the...

Dear Madam, we would like to thank you for your advise. We are happy you enjoyed the dinner in our Gastronomic Restaurant. Indeed, years ago the restaurant had Michelin Star. This year, we have a Michelin-starred Consulting Chef who set up every year his Carte in our Restaurant, and an Executive Chef with his team which work with this Carte....

It's one of the most memorable stay ever! The "chateau" locates right next to a medieval castle ruins so the view was spectacular no matter the time of the day you look at it! It has such a mesmerizing effect on us! As Club member, we're upgraded to the next room category which was spacious and very cozy! The room...

This hotel is way out in the countryside, not near any other restaurants or hotels. It is perched up Ina small rise, near some spectacular ruins of an ancient castle. The setting is marvelous. We made our reservation on a hotel website in the US, as we normally do, since that's where we live. As with many hotel-restaurants in France,...

Dear Madam, thank you for your advise. We are happy you enjoyed our exceptional surroundings. Regarding the restaurant, it is true that on this date we had the restaurant full in the first place. We had then many cancellations, that is why we immediately contacted you in order to inform we could have a table for you. We are happy...

I stayed there last week and found the rooms to be a little tired needing remodelling. The location was superb but quite a distance from the town and neighbouring villages. The pool area needed a waiter to supply drinks if needed. The spa and sauna was probably the best part of the pool area with a lovely wet sand dry...

Dear Madam, Thank you for your email. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, your dinner at our gastronomic restaurant and our Spa Cinq Mondes. We have indeed rooms with classic decoration (classic rooms), and the other ones with modern decoration (deluxe and suites). We just wanted to reassure you, there is always our staff in restaurant and Reception after...

With the neighbouring castle and the amazing hotel building and large garden plus the five star rating we expected much more than we were given. The room, restaurant and lobby were not clean enough and need renovating. The food was good but not the value of its price. The atmosphere with staff and guests was a bit depressed. And the...

Dear Client, Thank you for your advise. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Indeed, we are in the middle of the countryside, usually this is why the clients choose us for their stay in order to relax far away from the noise of the town. However, there are some activities in the hotel: Spa, Pool, tennis, etc.,...

I booked this because it looked a fantastic end to a superb road trip in France. We have stayed in some lovely places over the last 3 weeks - but we will never come back here! This is a place that you spend loads of money on and feel totally ripped off. You want to spend 400 quid + and...

This was our second visit to Chateau de Fere. Our first stop over on a driving trip to Italy. From the friendly welcome to check out, the stay was wonderful. Beautiful surroundings, lovely room, and the dinner was once again superb. I can see this becoming a firm favourite.
