I have just read the review from the couple who called marijani "hell" hotel. well I was there for a week with my boyfriend in january and had a wonderful time. The place itself is nice and welcoming and the staff has always been helpful and efficient. they changed our towels everytime we asked them, they served us breakfast outside...

My partner and I stayed at the Marijani for a few days and really enjoyed our time there. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a balcony. Breakfast was very good and entertaining (with the parrots whistling in the background). The hotel is located in a quiet street, close to everything (beach, supermarket, village, matatus). The staff we met there...

Watamu lies 4km off the main Coastal through road, and is spared the hectic crowds that mark Malindi 3/4 hour to the north. A small town off the beaten track, but still with plenty of tourism infrastructure, from modest family operations to large luxury hotels. Marijani is a small family owned hotel. My room was upstairs in the main building....
