My family & I had a pleasant 2-night stay. The beachfront room for 4 adults was perfect for family bonding. We checked in on a Sunday, thus there were very few guests to share the resort with. RT-PCR tests were required; administered on-site but at a neighboring affiliate, Acuatico Resort. Results available in approx 20-30 mins while you wait in your car. Photogenic place; wide beachfront. The beach was relatively clean but with small rocks. Beach shoes or thick-soled Crocs or fitflops are recommended. The waves were quite strong even in the mornings during our stay, so we only got into the water to wade for a short while. However, the beach was perfect for the jet ski and UFO rides. Our kids had fun with those! Staff are warm & friendly; they initiate conversation with guests which contribute to the welcoming vibe of the resort. Their friendliness makes up for the areas for improvement, ie., 1) Expand the menu choices. (The food tasted just fine; nothing superb. Prices, however, were on the high side for the serving size.) 2) Change some or all of the curtains in the beachfront cabanas. (The cabanas would have been picture-perfect if not for the large rips on some of the panels. Time to change some or all of them.) 3) Routinely clear out cabanas. (Maybe because the resort is undermanned, I noticed that it takes a while for staff to clear out the tables at the cabanas of plates, glasses and even used beach towels that guests leave behind, making for unsightly clutter. Maybe a routine schedule for this housekeeping function is in order. Our used plates after room service also took a while to get cleared from our porch.) Good roads from Manila. We don't mind driving back for quick doses of relaxation -- plus some sun, sand, sea and fresh air! Thank you, Acuaverde team!…
Stayed there for 2 nights. All the staff were very friendly, they had to upgrade us to another room since the drain was clogged in our room. Probably needs more maintenance due to limited staff at this time. Food selection was kinda limited & as a tip, order in advance since it takes awhile. The beach area has little cabanas to lounge & relax, with watersports. Last but not least, a pet friendly resort. We'll most likely go there again.
We took a daytrip for my sister’s birthday celebration and I must say the place was great, most especially when coupled with the fine weather. The beach was well-kept with really clear waters. Staff members were accommodating as well. Keep it up!
Checking in required that you go through the municipal reception area, show a confirmed booking from the resort, pay 20pesos per person ecological fee. This was done in a drive thru manner which was smart and organized. Also needed is an antigen swab test costing 1500pesos per person, at the nearby Acuatico resort. You then wait in your car. After getting negative results, you go to Acuaverde. The resort was arranged around the hut of their reception area. There were 2 function areas for big group events. We stayed for a night in their Casa Montana room for 2persons. For 6500pesos, the room was really small but clean. There is a small refrigerator which I didn't bother opening. Then there was a short small cabinet containing a safe and a rack for clothes. No hangers so bring your own. The pillows were cozy and the bed was just enough for two people. Not much space. Shower and toilet was okay. They had a water heater. Water in the toilet and sink wasn't strong. Hairdryer is barely functioning. Would've dried my hair better with the air conditioner. They have 2 beach towels, two bath towels, shampoo, soap, toothbrush. This room was situated near their boundary wall so not much air is coming in to dry our beach clothes. The resort is clean and everything is in place. There were other guests, some families. But it wasn't crowded. Their beachfront was clean too and there were little curtained beds where you can lounge. Showers were also in place but water wasn't strong. They have activities such as banana boat, jetskis and water pumps worn on your feet so your jetted up the water when you turn them on. Prices I didn't ask though because I much rather swim. I didn't see any stores inside the resort so bring everything you might need. For the food, they don't have much on the menu but they have enough variety. Breakfast tapa was really good. Their meat overload is pepperoni and ham on top of a thick layer of cheese. Drinks are priced as expected. 130pesos per san mig beer or red horse. 180 pesos for a tequila sunrise. One time, we had food served in our room. We ordered by sending a message to their Viber number. Menu is via QR code. They didn't remember to get the plates back though so you'd need to message again once done since they didn't leave a tray outside your room. Their Viber number is pretty responsive though. Staff at the dining area aren't consistent, most would be very attentive and will always refill your water. But when other people are dining, the two waiters seem to be swamped and it becomes hard to catch their eye. Checking out was a breeze. However, they won't help you with your bags. Or maybe because their staff was already busy.…
Despite arriving with the best of emotions, we left very unsatisfied. The resort is an old and unwell kept infrastructure which has not seen much maintenance since the last years probably. Rooms are as small as they can be, while the bed and pillows are comfortable, pretty much everything else is falling apart or broken. The food is average in quality, small in serving and highly priced compared to similar establishments. Dishes are limited and only available from 8am to 8pm. Beach is quite wide, offers some free cabanas where you can relax with your dog. The sand is made of thick grainy rocks, full of pebbles making it quite unpleasant to walk on, even when going into the water. What was most concerning was that they had pieces of glass just laying there, signifying no one from the property bothers cleaning it. This was also evident since there was a plastic bottle just laying there for days till we decided to pick it up. The only positive thing that stood out in our stay was the welcoming efforts of the staff which at all times was friendly and accommodating. Our review would’ve been less critical if this resort had a price more in line with its offering. Instead you are charged an incredible amount of 7500php for a non beachside room, plus 800php for every pet you bring, making a total of 8300php per day for a couple + pet The only reason why customers still go here is most likely because it is one of the few resorts that allow pets, but for this price it is definitely NOT worth it. Not going back again.…
