Comfort, service, cleanliness, helpful staff, all in a beautiful location. A perfect holiday destination for families and couples. There are great walks, bowls, tennis, swimming to mention a few activity opportunities. There is a conference centre and a spa/wellbeing centre. An animal farm appeared to be a hit with the younger guests. The meal options were varied, numerous and excellently prepared.

We were asking ourselves "Would we experience the same high standard of hospitality on this our third visit"? The answer to this is an emphatic YES. We thoroughly enjoyed the homely atmosphere, well appointed and modern rooms, excellent food, peace and quiet and the friendly staff. All-in-all another return has to be on the cards.

First visit to the Drakensberg for us as family. Wanted somewhere impressive to settle into our holiday around SA. Chose Champagne Castle for the setting, price and primarily the location. As a family we really enjoyed our stay. A particular highlight was the food! Three daily buffets with plentiful choice, good quality and friendly service. The hotel itself is nicely...

Thank you for taking your time to post your review, Buckvis It's always fantastic to hear from guests who take advantage of the activities at Champagne Castle Hotel. Of course we don't think any less of anyone who chooses to spend their time lying by the pool or sitting on the veranda :-) It seems your family was very active....

We did a KZN circuit for a school holiday, including Imfolozi and Cape Vidal. Champagne Castle was by far the best accomodation. We visited with family from Australia who were also impressed. The self catering chalets were well equipped with an awesome view. The staff were polite and helpful. We hiked, horse rode, played games, petted bunnies, fly fished and...

From the initial booking, to checking out, the staff were polite and helpful. We were a little concerned about bringing my 93 year old mother in law up to the mountains but when we phoned the hotel they advised on the type of room we needed and they were so right. We went for a deluxe family room, modern, clean...

We needed a break. The hotel site and view is out of this world. Staff friendly and efficient. After the 1st night we decided to extend our stay for a further 4 nights. All in all we eventually stayed for 7 nights. We also discovered that there is a special for over 60ties. Management kindly gave us the credit due...
