Hotel Lanzarote Village garners mixed reviews for its value for money, with the debate centering on whether upgrades are justified by the cost. Guests consistently applaud the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms, but some find the decor and vistas lacking. Its prime location is a hit, offering easy access to local attractions. The hotel's amenities, especially the food options and beach proximity, are popular, although the pool and sunbeds sometimes fall short of expectations. While praised for overall cleanliness and diligent staff, the hotel's ambiance is criticized for lackluster entertainment, and service reviews are a mixed bag, with the pool bar and restaurant staff receiving varied feedback.

We have just returned from an eleven night stay and did not want to leave, everyone of the staff were really lovely and couldn’t do enough to help and make your stay an enjoyable one. Checkin was easy and we were helped to our room with the cases, we had a lovely sea view and a large balcony , which we saw the sun set and rise everyday , The room was in good order , large bed , great shower, lots of storage, tv with uk channels, great wifi , nice hot shower with full size shower gel, and hair dryer , a small fridge , kettle and mugs with a supply of tea and coffee . The rooms cleaned everyday.
Although we did tell the lady a couple of times we didn’t need the room cleaned and used our towels more than once. We were on half board basis but up graded to all inclusive for €16 euros a day. We did debate if it was worth it , but spending so much time round the pool it was worth it for the drinks. We didn’t always want breakfast so having lunch was handy . The food in my opinion was good for the most part, and we always found something to eat, lots of fish, pork, salad bar, we had steak lasagna and lots of pasta on offer. The desserts were very small and the same thing everyday, but you could have a taste of everything and not feel guilty. We were there for New Year’s Eve but had planned to meet friends that night, so we never had the gala meal that was on offer. We never saw the entertainment either at night so cannot comment on it, We were so lucky with the weather, and the hotel is in a great spot to walk both ways, we found walking so easy both ways, with lots of stop offs for drinks and a wander in the shops. We would definitely return to the Lanzarote village, as long as you go not expecting a 5 star hotel , but you feel relaxed with great staff and in a great location you won’t be disappointed, it is a great value hotel.

I would say ignore the negative reviews, I read reviews and was very apprehensive about staying at this hotel. We returned from our stay on 13th Jan and we had a lovely time. Reception staff on arrival were very friendly, informative and gave us all the information needed to make our stay comfortable. Everywhere is spotless, the gardens are immaculate. There was a painter constantly touching up the paintwork.
We were fortunate to have a room with a sea view, the room was very modern, with a and spacious with a small fridge & kettle we stayed in room 1257, the balcony was very big. The bathroom was lovely with a large walk in shower which was very powerful and hot, there were toiletries and a hairdryer. Maid service everyday, we stayed all inclusive and a fresh bottle of water was left in our room daily. The beds are very comfy, not sure if they were memory foam mattresses but we enjoyed our sleeps.
Pool area was very clean, only plastic cups allowed which are collected regularly. The pool was a reasonable temperature for January, we expected it to be freezing but it wasn’t. Towels around the pool are free to use, you ask at reception for them and they give you tokens to change them.
I have read many negative comments about the food & bar service. We found the food fine, we all managed to eat plenty everyday and enjoyed what we had. You could always find something nice to eat and we didn’t eat chips every night as people said. The restaurant staff are excellent and an asset to the hotel. They all work endlessly always smiling, always friendly, they were very quick to clear, we couldn’t find fault with any off them. We only had a couple off drinks at night but again the bar staff were helpful and friendly. I have read reviews that the drinks were watered down, well the ones we had definitely hadn’t been. The cocktails were very strong, there were no shortage of spirits in them and the beer was fine.
The hotel is in a lovely position across the road from the beach and promenade and about 10 minute walk from Puerto de Carmen centre. We went to Costa Teguise market on the Sunday, which was okay but would advise not to spend all your time at the market, if you take a small walk to near the church there are some lovely cobbled streets with cafes and small shops. We also went to Rancho Texas Park zoo which was a good day out, not busy, the white tigers are amazing. We had lunch there which was nice.
I liked this hotel and would definitely stay again.

A friend and I had a lovely week at the Lanzarote Village Hotel in Puerto del Carmen and stayed week 19-26 March.

On arrival after a swift and informative check in at 9pm we were told we would have food brought to our room then a porter assisted us with our luggage. Our room was very nice with tea, coffee and a kettle provided and when our food arrived and we were not disappointed, lovely salad with roll and butter and fresh fruit, which by that time went down a treat. Beds were extremely comfy.

From start to finish we could not fault this hotel, we booked all inclusive and found the food was lovely unlike a lot of other hotels we have stayed in, Mexican one night and Chinese another which were very tasty and all areas spotlessly clean, we didn’t see a single fly in the restaurant but did see a few small birds flying in and out. The restaurant staff were very friendly and particularly hard working, clearing away plates with speed and even serving drinks at the evening meal to the tables whilst dining.
Masks had to be worn only whilst moving around indoors.

The pool area was spotlessly clean with a jacuzzi and a plentiful supply of comfortable sunbeds and the whole area got the sun all day long. Pool towels were supplied by the hotel, you had to get a card from Reception and give to the Lifeguard for the towels. The weather was really nice, a few drops of rain first thing but nothing after that, temperature around 24-26 degrees. Windy on one day only.

The hotel is located right in front of a fabulous beach just across from a main road, there are loads of shops, bars, and restaurants within a 10 minute walk with a more local supermarket a few yards from the hotel.

We had a lovely day out at Rancho Texas Zoo which is just a 15 minutes’ walk from the hotel so don’t bother to book a trip to go there but beware there are no pavements on the main road and a roundabout to manoeuvre but well worth a visit to the Zoo.

The hotel had a mini club but not many children whilst we were there so cannot comment on that. There was evening entertainment which was OK, have seen better but also seen worse.

Local buses and taxis are very cheap and on the odd occasion that we ate out at lunchtime, found that prices had not risen and still as pre-Covid and good value.

All in all a brilliant place and thoroughly recommend The Lanzarote Village Hotel.

We were initially allocated room 1149 - just about as far from reception as you can be without leaving the country...lol. On the third day the Jet2 rep sorted us room 1203, by the dining room, much better. We are both in our late 70s/early 80s and it had been like the Crystal Maze to get to the front of the hotel..I thought of leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to find our way back! Both rooms were "promotion" rooms, i.e ground floor, no sun and a view of a chain link fence. There are a lot of steps in this sprawling hotel, so if you're elderly or have mobility problems it might be worth emailing the hotel. Rooms are a good size and have large balconies. Beds are comfy and it's quiet so we slept well. There is tea and coffee with a kettle in the room. Be aware that the walk to the start of the PdelC strip is made not quite so appealing because of roadworks that look to be going on for quite a while. Buses stop just around the corner from the hotel, local fares to Matagorda and PdelC are 1.40euros.
We usually walked into PdelC and caught the bus back.
Food: Hmmm...well breakfast was OK, apart from cereals which were awful. Bread was nice and fresh. Dinner: Very "samey", lots of chips and the food was never hot. Vegetables overcooked and mushy. Salad bar OK. Sweets were the same every night, small cakes, cold rice pudding etc + fresh fruit.
Staff mostly pleasant and helpful, location was good. Plenty of sunbeds round the pool - which wasn't noisy at all.

Just returned from Lanzarote Village Hotel.

Hotel: We had a sea view room overlooking the pool. The hotel was spotless everywhere and the staff were very efficient at cleaning up and spills or dirty plates.

Food: We found the food to be fine, at breakfast there is a good choice of cooked, and continental. The chef will cook pancakes and omelettes on demand and there is a good range of different types of bread and pastries. Lunch was also good and had some different choices, and in the evening, although some of the things were the same we found that there was a good offering and we especially enjoyed the Italian and Mexican nights (and all the different desserts!) We were all inclusive and found this to be good. My daughter loved that she could just go and get ice cream whenever she wanted. The snacks and the drinks at the pool bar were great and they had a good range of drinks included. Snacks at the pool bar were served until 5pm so my daughter sometimes had that for her tea rather than the buffet.

Entertainment: This was the one thing we felt let the hotel down slightly. We didn’t make use of the kids club as we were busy exploring the island during the day so also couldn’t comment about the daytime activities. At night I felt there could’ve been more. The kids disco started at 8pm and lasted about 25 minutes but it was the exact same songs every night so was very repetitive. After that there was nothing until 9.30pm when the entertainment started. This was usually a singer but again this tended to only last an hour or so. I would’ve liked to see more variety in the entertainment and possibly longer for the kids with a bit more originality.

Staff: we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We arrived very late at night and the receptionist had arranged for a plate of cold food to be delivered to our room with some fruit and some water. This was a lovely welcome.

Location: the location was good right opposite a quiet beach, however it was a bit of a walk to the main shopping area (about 20mins). Very close to the airport and we enjoyed watching the planes coming into land but it wasn’t noisy. We got the bus to Playa Blanca one day and for 2 adults and 1 child this cost 8.75 euro

Activities: We booked our activities at reception, they helped to arrange car hire for us and booked some excursions for us.

We enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you very much for this detailed description of your stay with us at the Hotel Lanzarote Village****. We are pleased that we have met your taste with your sea view room and that you describe the hotel as spotless. We have of course passed on your praise of the cuisine. We are pleased to inform you that we are currently in the process of changing to a new meal plan in order to further adapt to the needs of our guests. We understand that you were hoping for more entertainment in the evenings. We are a small and quiet hotel and due to the size of the stage and the bar itself, we are not able to offer a big acrobatic show, but we do have one night where a magician performs. Sorry if you missed that one. Our staff was really pleased to receive such praise and are happy that we were able to convince you to choose us again in the future. All the best wishes The team of the Hotel Lanzarote Village****

Stayed at this hotel for a week the hotel is in a quiet location but only around a good 15-minute walk away from the busy part of the area. There is a bus stop nearby should you wish to ride which goes all the way to the old town area. Having said that there are some shops small supermarkets and bars/ restaurants nearby. Back at the hotel, the room we had was fairly large with a large balcony overlooking the quiet road with a sea view. The room was cleaned every day to a very good standard and the bathroom was of a good size with a large power shower that worked well the linen was of good quality. Towels were changed as required and the bedsheets were changed once during the week's stay. There were tea and coffee facilities provided in the room with an empty fridge for your use. Which was a great asset
The swimming pool area and gardens were immaculately clean and tidy and very well kept. The restaurant was well presented and whilst busy we always found a table We stayed half board rather than the all-inclusive deal. The food was adequate nothing special but not uneatable only one dinner caused a problem but still found something to eat so overall I would say breakfast was an 8 out of ten there is a good selection. For dinner, I would rate a good 6 out of ten. The bar on the evening I feel was the negative part of the hotel we found being half board it difficult to get a drink the inclusive seemed to be well looked after though. Not sure why this was in my thinking it would have been extra income for the hotel, we just found a local bar and had drinks on the balcony so no great deal The other negative was that the German guests did seem to be treated more quickly and even if first in a queue you seemed to be overlooked and served after them.
Lastly, the hotel rule of not putting out towels on the loungers in the early morning was ignored but always found an empty one to use however not sure this would be the case if the hotel was full. But overall we had a great stay and would use the hotel again and recommend this hotel.

Dear guests, Thank you for taking the time to rate your stay on TripAdvisor. We are pleased that you liked the room and the size of the balcony and that you also explored the nearby surroundings. We are sure that you had a wrong impression of the evening bar. As you describe, we make extra income by selling drinks to half board guests. We do not give any advantage to guests according to nationality or booked regimes. When the hotel is not so full, we hope for the mutual consideration of the guests that the sunbeds will not be reserved. As soon as the hotel becomes fuller and we have a lot of children, as is the case at the moment, we check more strictly and take towels from the sunbeds and release them for other guests. With kind regards The team of the Hotel Lanzarote Village****

I would highly recommend this hotel, the rooms are spotless, the food is always hot and they have a amazing selection for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. The entertainment which is on most nights is of a better standard than most 4 star hotels we have stayed in.
The staff in reception especially Julia and Elena ( i hope that's how they are spelt) were brilliant, they went above and beyond, any issues they took care of instantly also massive help with covid forms, no problem to print them for us. The wi-fi was good all over the hotel. the pool area is very relaxing and a good atmosphere. The animation were good, never in your face. most activities were away from the pool area and sunbeds. The hotel is in a great location only 10 - 15 minute walk or 2.50 euro taxi ride to the main strip where there are many good bars and restaurants, would recommend the spoons at the beginning of the strip and the la ahola on the sea front down by the casino. We were all inclusive and found everything to be of a good standard. This is a honest review, hope it helps, after all that's what we depend on when reviewing hotels.

A very clean hotel with friendly efficient staff, beds comfy rooms quiet. The food was reasonable, salad bar good, always freshly cooked fish and meat off the plancha, I enjoyed the paella when I added some more prawns and fish. No need to eat chips every day there was plenty of Pasta, Rice or Canarian potatoes. The breakfasts were OK apart from the Bacon which was flacid and undercooked but if thats how you like it thats fine. Our room 1225 was not at all in the sun and the view from the back was rubbish but I couldn't be bothered to move once unpacked. Walk to the Marina at the far end of the strip was about an hours walk, bus was cheap if you wanted to do it that way. Swimming pool was good and not ice cold. I agree with other comments about most people being old, but thats me anyway so it suited me. Plenty of sunbeds. I would go again for a winter break in the sun. Drinks were cheap

We can't wait to come back here on 12th March this will be our third visit we stayed here last March and again enjoyed it very much, all the staff are lovely and it's well laid out with plenty of sunbeds it is always lovely and clean. You can walk either way when you come out of the hotel you are not far from the main strip of Puerto Del Carmen then walking the other direction you can walk to Los Pocollos and even onto Matagorda and onto the airport if you like a long walk. We love the outdoor hot tub which we see them cleaning on a daily basis. The rooms are lovely too we preferred last year's room as we had a bath where the time before there was just a shower so we really hope we have a bath this time. The food is ok you won't ever starve as there is a lot of choice. I love the burgers and toasties on an afternoon at the snack place. The drinks are nice and the entertainment is better than any other hotel in Lanzarote. You can get local buses to anywhere as we go to Playa Blanca and Teguise and its very reasonable. We used to always stay at the Relaxia just along the road but since we tried Lanzarote Village there is no going back as it's much better. Can't wait to come back soon for another lovely 2 weeks in the sun at our favourite hotel in our favourite place.

Stayed here mid may for a week really nice hotel with great staff good food and good drink ☺️ entertainment was pretty good too for an all inclusive hotel
Arrived at stupid o clock and was quickly checked in given directions to the room only to find it was at the bottom of the hotel facing the tennis courts not happy as paid for sea view room purposely went and complained but fobbed off until next morning but then given the correct room facing the sea on the high floor that I'd paid for ! Left 2 plates of food and bottle of water which was a nice touch also water left daily in glass bottles ?? Lovely big and extremely comfortable rooms tea and coffee and mini fridge and room has good air con also an absolute awesome walk in shower no irons in room despite me asking before arrival and told each room has one ?? You can get iron and board but be quick as they don't leave you with it all week just iron all your stuff sharpish 😜
Most of the staff can't do enough for you and are so friendly place is immaculate pool is salt water but really nice and refreshing not overpowering. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols no loud music blasting out too so that's a bonus beach towels are provided too hot tub is nice to use too. Parakeets visit your balcony and you can feed them by hand views across pdc are lovely and walk to the promenade and along to PDC one way and matagorda the other both resorts are great matagorda is a little less crowded buses around the area are great and cheap if you are visiting the Texas Rancho park just walk as it took us 11 mins from the park to hotel there's no kerb at first ( coming back )but safe enough on the road side until the kerbs start so it saves waiting for the bus and the parks well worth the time to visit take your swimming gear and a towel for the pool.
Would definitely stay at the hotel again if I was staying in PDC
