GF Victoria is a very nice hotel, my 4* review reflects the fact that it is also quite an expensive hotel too. The property benefits from an excellent location, close to shops, restaurants and the beach in a pleasant area and around a 20 minute journey from the Airport. The hotel itself is relatively new and has a modern style with an impressive lobby area and well presented, clean and well maintained communal areas. We stayed in one of the least expensive suites and were impressed with the size, amenities and cleanliness of our room which was around twice the size of an ‘average’ hotel room with a separate bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms and a double balcony overlooking the family pool. I found the bed to be comfortable, slept well and was generally quite impressed with the accommodation. The hotel has 4 pools, 2 for adults and 2 for families, 1 of which has a small water park with several water slides, and a wave rider too. There are several tennis courts, football pitch and a kids ‘treehouse adventure course’. Our stay included half board accommodation with breakfast and dinner in the ‘Choboco’ buffet restaurant. The restaurant, like other areas of the hotel is clean, airy and modern with friendly, efficient and helpful staff. The food was OK, choice was a little limited compared to other similar buffets but we were approaching low re were also some pretty eccentric options and portions were on balance very small. Another area of complaint for me was the over eager waiting staff who pounced the moment a plate or glass was apparently finished with often reaching over you to reclaim it almost the moment the last mouthful of food had been taken. This is not a criticism of the staff themselves who were clearly driven to do this by management; but from my perspective it made me feel hurried and uncomfortable. Management please take note. I would not choose to pay half board again at this hotel, there are numerous very good restaurants within a short and pleasant walk. The hotel feels a little bit too big (personal perspective) and it took a good long time to walk from one area to another, there seem to be too few lifts for the number of rooms and I can well imagine this being an issue at peak capacity. It is a family friendly hotel and there were and will be a lot of young kids around when you visit, this is not a criticism of the hotel families need to go on holiday too you know 😊. Sadly many of the parents were in my subjective opinion lazy and simply let their kids do what they wanted whenever they wanted, such as playing ‘knock and run’ along corridors at night or running around the restaurant unsupervised knocking into waiters and guests. To continue my review of fellow guests many awoke early to reserve ‘their’ sun beds around the family pool and then went away for several hours. The family pool is quite deep at 1.4m and younger kids therefore need to be confident swimmers and well supervised, the lifeguard station is hidden away in a corner and in my experience the lifeguard could seldom be seen and probably could not see much if any of the pool area. In summary a good hotel.

We had an amazing stay at the GF Victoria. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Ivan is a credit to the hotel and we would like to say a massive thank you to him for making our stay even better. He remembered our usual drinks orders and made us to feel very comfortable around the pool. The rooms were spacious and having the two bathrooms was a great extra. There were also lots of toiletries in the room and you can choose from a pillow menu, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was great, nothing more you could ask for! Everything you would want and more. The hotel itself was very well kept and clean, and the covid policies made us feel very safe in the hotel. We would definitely recommend and will be returning, thank you again!

We booked this hotel for our first family holiday with our 1 year old and it was just perfect! We stayed in the senior suite. It had a lovely garden area in the balcony for our little one to crawl around in and a separate living space which her cot was placed - this was ideal as it meant when she had her naps we still had use of the bedroom and the balcony. Only downside was our balcony didn't get much sun but we were advised there were some rooms which got more sun which you can request for on booking. We opted for bed and breakfast. Breakfast has everything you would expect in a 5* resort. The service was great. You can tell the staff really enjoyed having kids stay and didn't at all make you feel bad when they made a lot of mess! Food was good. Slightly pricey but as expected in hotels. The hotel was located close to a couple of nice shopping centres and lots of restaurants so we would venture out for lunch/dinner. Most cuisines were available and again most catered for kids. Lots of activities for kids. Not much out little one could do as she wasn't walking yet but she still enjoyed the baby club and pool area - added bonus they provide pool toys and inflatable so you don't need to pack any!

My family stayed at the Victoria for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the whole hotel is kept very clean and well maintained. I have a couple of niggles, minor things that would not change my 5 star opinion. The gym doesn't open till 10:00 am. I was hoping to have been in their and done a workout before my kids woke up at around 7, I see no reason why it couldn't be made available to guests early. We were unable to book the Donaire restaurant as this was fully booked throughout our stay. We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant and having one night eating without the kids! Giving priority booking to hotel guests or advising of the need to reserve a table when booking the hotel might be an idea. And finally, trousers for gents at dinner? Why? It's a great restaurant but it is still only a hotel buffet restaurant not a high end fine dining one. I wonder what the response would be had I turned up in a skirt? Not a problem for the females. Im on holiday, I want to wear shorts, mainland Spain has no problem with this. These are silly little niggles that I needed to get off my chest. Do not let them put you off, the hotel is nothing less than excellent!

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience in our hotel. We are delighted that you spent an excellent family holiday with us. It is true that we have been obliged to adjust some of our services due to Covid norms; these will be reviewed on an ongoing basis; we apologise for any inconvenience. Thank you for your feedback about the dress code in the restaurant. There are differing points of view regarding having a more formal atmosphere for the evening meal. We will continue to listen to our guests in relation to this matter. We appreciate your kind remarks about our friendly and welcoming staff and hope to see you again on a future occasion. With best regards Maria, Assistant Manager, GF Victoria

Truly a wonderful hotel that thinks of everything. The rooms are pristine and luxurious, the food at breakfast and in the Donaire and beach side restaurant was absolutely fabulous. It caters for kids and adults without kids alike. Loved the pools, the tennis court and the adult only areas. Cannot recommend this hotel enough
