I have just come back from this hotel. Was my third attempt at this hotel after the pandemic cancelled my other visits. The hotel itself is lovely, friendly bar and restaurant staff, great pools and sunbeds, spotlessly clean. However one thing let's this hotel down.....the food! I stopped here on a all inclusive basis, and it is the worst food in a hotel I have had. It wasn't just that the food didn't look very nice, the fact that the food was only Luke warm is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Even at breakfast the sausages was hardly warm at all. I really struggled lunchtime and with the evening meal to find anything I liked, and I'm not a fussy eater. After talking to other hotel guests, I was told the food has really gone down hill since the pandemic. Such ashame because the rest if the hotel is lovely. I loved the area this hotel was in, but won't be returning due to the quality of the food! …
Stayed here with 6 friends, was greeted by a less than friendly English lady behind the desk who told us that our rooms weren’t ready which is ok not sure why the attitude. The rooms were dated but I had read that on the reviews so wasn’t a shock you’d still expect better for the cost and a 4 star? THE FOOD!!! Oh wow I’ve stayed in many hotels and some less than 4 star but this was very poor, so bad that after a couple of attempts we never went back- very little choice and just bad. The drinks were good and the pint glasses were frosted so the beer was nice, bar staff vey friendly but as the food was so bad we ate by the beach in Adeje which was full of nice, reasonably priced restaurants. Lovely area, nice holiday but hotel was not to the level you’d expect
We stayed for 4 nights May 2022 and booked for our anniversary here as we have previously stayed in GF COSTA ADEJE GRAN HOTEL and GF ISABEL. This hotel is not worth 4 stars and not up to the standard of the others . The room was poorly maintained and didn’t even have a bin for rubbish, and had cheap soap snd shower gel and few towels. It was very basic and run down with lots of chipped paint. I became ill from the air conditioning and had to get antihistamine as developed swollen eye and cough on day 2. The reason we didn’t ask to swap rooms was that we are only staying 4 nights so we couldn’t be doing with the hassle so avoided the room as much as possible and turned air con off at night. I am now waiting to book an appointment in morning for doctors as it appears whatever was the issue with air conditioning has now gone on my chest and I am still unwell. The food was not bad but there was no Covid restrictions at all in place or even the use of hand gel upon entering the diner . We only had breakfast so can’t comment on lunch/ dinner . The whole place seems very outdated and in need of a revamp, it’s like a cheap hotel in a nice resort and there are too many silly rules like you can’t get your beach towels until 10 am. The pool bar doesn’t open until 11 but this was late opening every day , just two of the things that were really disappointing . We have been coming to Costa ADEJE for 19 years and stayed in so many lovely hotels. As this was a 4 night break and we had walked past this hotel before we thought it would be nice to try somewhere different. This hotel lets down the GF Franchise and we wouldn’t recommend it at all. When we checked out the guy didn’t ask us for any feedback snd didn’t even say thank you for staying with us. We couldn’t wait to get out of there . Really disappointed…
The hotel itself is clean the rooms are cleaned daily , the staff are friendly the animations team around the pool are great fun , the food is very nice with a variety and healthy options . However we went half board as we like to eat out sometimes but We couldn’t pay in euros at the bar for our drinks so had to set up a tab or pay on the card which we weren’t happy about also the drinks are very expensive so if your there all week . Also evening meal was included in our package however no drinks were on offer which I thought was ridiculous not even water they even removed the glasses off the table which I though was petty ,in other hotels we’ve stayed at they have had a selection of lager ,water, juice and wine on a machine another gripe was tea and coffee in the room feels like there is some cost cutting going on but it will ultimately cost the hotel in the long run…
We are currently staying at the Fanabe and as a disabled elderly couple could not be happier. We have been allocated an accessible room with walk in shower, the whole hotel area is flat with the exception of the entrance driveway which is a little steep but does have a handrail. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly, especially the lovely Micheala in the restaurant. She always greets myself and my wife with the friendliest of smiles and is always helpful. Mealtimes can be busy but restaurant management arranged a reserved table for us to apply to all meals. We were also given priority disabled labels to ensyre that we always get a sunbed at the pool. Food is good and plentiful. An all round good experience. Thanks to all the team!
