I have been in Grasse three times, and I can say, Grasse is not easy! I never get a good place do rest and sleep. The bathroom is dirty, mouldy. There were hairs in the pillow, and they were yellow. Next time I will not stay in the city.

The room was dark and a bit run down. Which is fair enough. The WiFi was slow and inconsistent. Again I can accept a few problems here and there. The alley to the rooms was poorly lit and the whole feel was a bit cheap. Now I wouldn't have minded if it was also cheap. But for the amount I...

there are no face towels in this hotel. When I asked for one they said that guests should bring their own. I asked for an extra bath towel to use as a face towel and there was not a single extra towel. After they were washed we had an extra bath towel. The hotel looks run down, staircases with mold...

Although now rated three stars by the official French system of grading this is a "budget hotel" by most travellers' standards. Basic and squeaky clean are the main things that come to mind but it does have one real asset and that is its location. It is ideal for touring the hinterland and yet close enough to the buzz of...

Nothing fancy at all. But, there is coffee maker in the room (instant), unlimited shower gel/shampoo provided, heat lamp in the bathroom, comfy bed. If you want the half board, the dinner is good enough, and the buffet is tasty and varied enough. The person who works the reception is also working the restaurant floor. The choices are limited so...

Everything in room very dated and sad. Not expensive but we expected better than this. Chipped paint, stained shower curtain, paper cups etc etc. did not bother with breakfast but went to local cafe which was very good.

This Campanile has something of a captive audience, being the only hotel in Chateauneuf. Perhaps that accounts for some of the complacency I encountered on a recent visit. Rooms are small, bath linens are poor (thin bath towels, no hand towels provided - when I inquired at the desk I was given two more bath towels). The room was clean...

We had come along the Route Napoleon from Grenoble and whilst we admired the magnificent views and tried to see one or two things along the way, we were quite tired on arrival. We were heartened to find this Campanile situated in a peaceful, pastoral village setting away from traffic with beautiful fields of grass surrounding it with trees and...

This Campanile is in need of refurbishment but the friendliness of the staff made up for the shortfalls of the hotel. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was very tired but it was clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant food was very good. Campanile's always give good value for the buffets. This was an ideal spot...

“The room for 3 people was not as indicated on the virtual tour. It showed them 3 beds in a row when in fact the 3rd bed was a trundle that was in our way every time anyone needed to pass by to go to the bath. Look at the rm first before you accept it. It was only for 2 nites so we dealt with it. I would in the future speak up before committing. Otherwise. A very nice hotel.”
