Partner and I had overnight stay and dinner here, lovely room, lovely jacuzzi, very nice food, nice service, bit of a stingy breakfast as we opted for breakfast in our room, but we were being lazy as it was a Sunday -maybe we could of had a bit more choice on the trays ? But one thing I will raise...

We really enjoyed everything about our visit here last evening. Nice welcoming staff, a lovely log fire in the comfy lounge where we had drinks while our food was cooked and then on to the main event - the food. We all agreed that it was delicious, fresh, tasty, well cooked and plentiful. The chicken was succulent and the steak...

Spent a lovely night enjoying a meal here with my partner as a vegetarian was nice to have a choice of options (not just goats cheese and mushroom). My partner enjoyed his stake which I believe is from a local farm and we were both very impressed by the level of customer service and the pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely...

Came here to stay for a long weekend over Christmas time and I cant begin to say how great it was. Lovely homecooked food, cheerful and happy staff and a lovely cosy room. Friday night was wine and steak night for £25.00 and it was cooked to perfection. If you're looking for a warm, friendly and homely pub with great...

Yesterday, 25 members of our village club held our post-Christmas lunch party at The Mortimers Cross Inn, and we were very glad that we did. Although they do not normally serve carveries on a week day, they made a generous exception for us. The starters were delicious, my smoked mackerel pate was smooth and creamy and served with fresh crusty...

Sunday lunch carvery - this was recommended to us. Very disappointed. Food tasted oily - like the vegetables had been cooked/coated in oil?? Dessert - I ordered pavlova but was shocked to be served a bought meringue nest, with a squirt of cream and a few berries, not sure if chef realised there is a difference between meringue and pavlova!...

This so called review has been reported as this is totally slanted to cause as much damage as possible to our business and is as far removed as possible from fact...... We consistently do over a 100 Sunday lunches only a week for the last year with no complaints and only compliments on the quality of the ingredients used on...

You cannot go wrong with the Carvery at the Mortimers Cross. The locally sourced meat is truly delicious and cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire puddings are huge! There is a large selection of vegetables which are all so tasty. The value for money is fantastic. It is the ideal place for Sunday lunch with the family. We have booked for...

We have had several carvery meals at The Mortimers Cross Inn and also several family parties, we can not fault them. We are always made very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Would recommend to anyone. We were there today for a meal for our mother's birthday and had a beautiful meal. Thank you to the Goodwin...

Beautiful food, locally sourced and plentiful, pleasant friendly atmosphere, lovely open fire on cold winter nights, it's our restaurant of choice for a Sunday carvery when friends and family visit! Large selection of beers and drinks available.

The double room was comfortable and a good size. Tea and Coffee was available in the room and this was kept stocked up. The room was cleaned each day to a good standard. The bathroom includes a spa bath and a shower. The Spa bath was enjoyable. The food in the hotel was a high standard, tasty and a reasonable...

Hello, Please could you inform me when you stayed here as you have said I was rude but I am unsure when this could have been as I haven't been around last week as I was away with my daughter or I have been in the kitchen cooking so haven't seen many customers. The only time last week I even...
