Elaine & Pete are just delightful and made us feel very welcome. Our room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean, and furnished very considerately. A lovely quiet location but so easy from the A55. All mod cons - fridge in the room with fresh milk (much appreciated), Broadband - and even Netflix! Comfortable, cosy bar for drinks and home-cooked dinner. Limited choice, but good food - no complaints from us. Breakfast was excellent too, eggs provided by the fine chickens in the back garden.

We had a lovely stay here - the owners are very welcoming and friendly, rooms are lovely and the food was delicious. In a quiet location in the middle of the Welsh countryside. Easy access to the coast or snowdonia area. We would definitely stay again!

The care and attention in rooms rivals any 5 star country house hotel. Genuine welcome and hospitality from the owner/ managers, Peter and Elaine. Exemplary covid-safe procedures. Delicious, cooked from fresh, home cooked evening meals. A real log fire to relax beside after long days on Offas Dyke Path. A great choice for walkers on the footpath and a perfect little desination hotel in beautiful countryside too.

My husband came across this place on the internet by chance, and I'm so happy that he did. We were a little nervous about going away with all what's going on. No need to have worried at all. Pete & Elaine are just the best hosts and all Covid rules were firmly in place. They made us feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our king suite was gorgeous! Comfy bed, little lounge, lovely bathroom with big fluffy towels, fridge and our own patio area with table and chairs for dining. It was spotlessly clean as was inside the pub too. Cosy burner and leather sofas in the lounge. Breakfast was spot on! We ate a few times in the evening, Elaine is a fantastic cook, and doesn't believe in small portions ha. Lovely welcoming couple, friendly and happy to help in anyway. We're already looking at when we can get back there again soon. Highly recommended. Thank you

Just returned from a 2 night stay at The Farmers Arms, St Asaph. My wife and I were visiting the area for the first time and decided to give this boutique inn a go rather than one of the larger hotels in nearby Rhyl. We’re so glad we did. Elaine and Pete were fantastic hosts - warm, friendly and genuinely made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were spotless (we stayed in a suite the first night and a twin the second), generously sized and beautifully decorated. As an added bonus, the suite we stayed in had its own private outdoor space where we were able to dine. The bar has a good choice of drinks and breakfast was simply superb. The inn is set in private grounds and well appointed for visits to the North Wales coastal towns or the nearby national parks. All in all a fantastic experience, highly recommended. 5 stars!

Pete and Elaine have created a lovely and welcoming environment at the Farmers Arms, we stayed for a long weekend in the Kings Suite, with an amazing king sized bed, beautifully decorated bathroom and living room which included a private garden with table, chairs and sun loungers. We enjoyed a fabulous full English breakfast each morning with the highest quality ingredients served very hospitably in the en suite or dining room. Peter and Elaine maintained social distancing and cleanliness providing hand sanitiser and masks throughout our stay. I would thouroughly recommend and undoubtedly we will be returning on our next visit to Wales. J & C.

Lovely room with a great big comfy bed Nice big shower room plenty of hot water with great pressure and fluffy towels Great hosts very apologetic that due to restrictions they were unable to offer food but had a selection of cereals in the room for breakfast Will be rebooking to stay again next time I’m in the area Hopefully without the COVID restrictions in place I can sample the food Given it’s location next to a road there is some road noise if you have the window open but it’s a county road not a main road and didn’t disturb me

We stayed there on Thursday night, We were welcomed by Elaine & Pete who could not do more for us to make our stay more enjoyable. Our room was very comfortable and we had a lovely dinner cooked by Elaine. We stayed there because we were looking for a house in Bodfari and at breakfast Pete had found it. He is a star We will come back to stay soon.
