We found this B&B on tripadvisor and we booked to stop the night on route to my graduation (a very mature student!). What a lovely place, secluded and surrounded by fields and hills but still easy to get to. Our hosts were very welcoming even though we arrived late evening due to traffic. When we explained we had to leave early and miss the cooked breakfast they kindly prepared a continental breakfast for us. Our rooms were very homely, well decorated and clean. It was more like a hotel then a B&B with the facilities on offer. You can even buy wine and they have an honesty bar. Their recommendation for dinner close by was very good (see separate review), and we had a short but very pleasant stay. If we ever decide to go walking in North Wales it would make an excellent base.

Stayed at Tan-yr-Onnen for 5 nights August 2021 as a "late" celebration for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, postponed from 2020 due to COVID. Patrick and Sara were the perfect hosts and made our stay extremely enjoyable. The "Forge me not" Suite with it's separate sitting area, spacious bathroom and comfy bed, absolutely ticked all the boxes. The Tunnocks tea cake and lovely biscuit assortment on our tea tray each day were a welcome bonus! Breakfasts were cooked to perfection, particularly the scrambled egg and salmon; awesome! Sara and Patrick work extremely hard to maintain their high standards making Tan-yr-onnen worthy of its 5 star rating.

We arrived here on Friday afternoon on a motorbike, and we were absolutely soaked! Sara came out to greet us and told us she would be the heating on in our room to dry our clothes. Couldn't thank her enough. The room was first class and spotless. It had little extras as well, like fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge, biscuits and little cakes. She arranged for a taxi in the evening to take us to The Plough where we had a meal booked. As we had an early start in the morning, Sara left us cereal and yogurts for our morning breakfast to eat in our room Excellent. Sunday morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast all freshly cooked to order. All Covid rules were in place and nothing was too much trouble. Deserves the Five Star rating it has. Hope to return in the future. Well done to you both.

All we can say is that the B&B is stunning and absolutely worthy of a 5* rating. The setting and gardens are beautiful and so relaxing. The B&B was spotlessly clean and distancing rules were followed to the letter without impacting our stay. Our room was lovely, spacious and comfortable and had everything we could need as well as lots of little extras. Breakfast was delicious. Sara and Pat were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very knowledgeable about the area and directed us to some hidden wildlife gems! They are passionate about their B&B and this shined through during our stay. Thank you both, we hope to see you again.

Patrick and Sara where brilliant from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Their knowledge of the local area and advice on it was second to none. Breakfast was delicious and we cannot fault it. The room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. We felt very safe, as all covid-19 regulations and precautions were taken and it didn't feel like it impacted our stay here at all. The location was great, far enough to feel away from it all, but close enough to be able to venture anywhere and it not take forever. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back. Thank you both.

We have just returned from a last minute getaway in North Wales. We wanted to do a little walking and choose Tan Yr Onnen for its beautiful location. What an amazing discovery. This is a Gold Award B&B and absolutely top notch. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The rooms are without a doubt fantastic. Spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained. Breakfast was absolutely worth 5* and so impressed with my choice for the first morning I had the same again the second day - which is something I never do! Above all of this Sara and Patrick have got their hospitalilty down to a fine art. They must abviously love what they do as they are naturals. Thank you for the tip for a walk on the beach before heading home - the Point of Ayr - magnificent beach and just what we needed before the drive home. Cannot wait to return. Thank you both so much.

Me and my partner came middle of september 2020 stayed in honeysuckle room and have already rebooked again for end of September, upon arriving at tan yr onnen, Sara and Patrick couldn't of been more welcoming, we were then showed to our room, which was lovely, spacious and absolutely spotless. The bed was so comfortable, and good Wi-Fi too. Everything provided in the room(tea/coffee/milk etc) and also left their number incase you needed anything during your stay. The breakfast is outstanding, and the owners really couldn't be more helpful. It's like a home from home, such a peaceful area too! We will be returning Friday and we will definitely be booking again shortly. Would definitely 100% recommend

Patrick and Sarah are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spacious, super clean and had all the facilities you require plus little extras like chocolates and real milk in the fridge rather than those horrible UHT ones. Breakfast again was fantastic with locally sourced ingredients which were very good quality. Cannot rate highly enough. 😀😀

I travel a lot for work and this is one of the BEST B&B's I've stayed in! This was my third visit whilst on business in the area and there is always a warm welcome in more ways than one, especially on a wet and cold wintry night! The attention to detail is fabulous and the room I stayed in - forget me not - is beautiful and so comfortable! Fantastic bathroom, comfortable bed and furniture, great choice of refreshments, coffee maker and a fridge with fresh milk in too. Delicious salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast and hot milk with my filter coffee. Brilliant hosts, thank you again Pat & Sara, hope to be back again soon!
