This is my second time at this hotel and although it is very pretty, would not stay again. Spent a week here recently and had a genuine chance to explore the premises. Calling this hotel a 5-star resort is not accurate - this is a banquet hall with hotel rooms. There are very few amenities and certainly not reflective of a 5-star premises. I believe there is a spa but there was no info in our room about it. I don't understand other reviewers' comments regarding the amenities because we were unable to find many. There is no room service and no ability to obtain food or drinks during the day. Only continental breakfast (included with the room charge) and dinner is available (expensive but good). Get to the breakfast room early as they stop replenishing about an hour before they close the dining room. Service is very good, however. Staff are friendly and very pleasant. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Be warned - this hotel has various events but they won't tell you about them. We suffered through an ALL-NIGHT discotecque event with a SCREAMING DJ and ear-shattering techno music until 5 AM. We were not told of this event when we checked in and only when we specifically asked what the equipment set-up was for, were we told what was happening. IT WAS AWFUL - no sleep for the entire night - at a hotel! There were 3 other wedding events that same week but they were quiet. We booked the shuttle to use the beach facilities in Roccello which was great, however, the driver failed to show up at the pre-arranged time to pick us up. They did send the driver for the Italian party that booked slightly later than we did so we were able to use their shuttle. This is typical of Italy so we weren't surprised but really annoyed. The staff try to please but there's so little to offer at this place, they are limited. If you are touring the area and don't need anything during the day, this hotel is great but not if you want to hang around the "resort" all day.

The room is very spaceful and everything keep in good conditions. The location is just opposite to the beach, perfect! Amenities of the hotel are very high quality and wide variety. Love it! The service in this hotel was really gentle and kind, even the housekeeper was so kind and friendly! Feel very comfortable to stay here. Especially with the stunning sea view from balcony of the room. Can feel they put much effort on running the hotel. Will be back again!

If you ever want to have a go to place, this, in Sorrento, is it!! My sister and I were treated like princesses and were even acknowledged that way each time we entered their dining area! The staff are amazing, the food can not compare to anything else we enjoyed while in Italy. Our room overlooked the bay, with a balcony and the private beach was exactly what we needed on our relaxing days! The grounds are gorgeous and the pool area liked quiet and relaxing. I can not imagine staying anywhere else! Thank you!! Thank you!!

I see this hotel as a 4* hotel, looks impressive but still missing some features in order to upgrade. First of all I would stress out good management and perfect service at all points where you have one. The room was very good, nice see view, linning perfect, perfectly cleaned every single day, towells good, tolitriess ok, slippers ok, 5+ for maids. Reception exceptionall, we had remarks regardin really poor wifi in the room and in general in hotel and they managed to solve it at the end, we waited for 2 days but we cstched weekend. Breakfast ruther monotonous, which I do mind, specially "juices" coming from the machines or no sslads at all, poor syvoury selection but again perfect service. Dinner was perfect, bit expencive but in general worth spending money at. We also used the advantage of the beach service they arranged with perfect beach Caluru club with discounted 8 eur price, umbrella and 2 sun bads. Regarding weddins etc, yes, they have to have some additional bussines and we could sleep in room 224 without a problem so it wouldnt be a problem for us when comming again. In short, we would gladly go back.

My boyfriend and I visited the hotel during our trip to Marina di caulonia where we have an apartment. We decided to treat ourselves to a nights stay as it look luxurious. Main selling point was the Michelin star restaurant in the hotel. We requested a room with a sea view balcony which was fulfilled. The rooms are a nice size, bed is very large in size, undated interior, not a 5 star room but non the less we had enough room for us 2. I was disappointed that there was no iron, we asked at reception and it wasn possible plus shampoos were limited supplied. The pool was being cleaned wen we used it which was nice to see it's maintained however the toilets by the pool are NEVER cleaned. There was large faeces in the toilets that were there some time. The showers had large heads however the foot bath you step into was filled with brown water. The restaurant was definitely not Michelin star which is had listed it had won the award since 2012, we love quality food although it was cheap in prices it was not up to our standard. We sat at a table looking at the menu and the bread provide was stale given from a wedding that was going on in the next room. Reception staff have good English and are very friendly. Also I hoped a pianist would play the piano in the lounge as it was a Saturday but this never happened. Overall for a 5 star resort, in Ireland I would rate it 2 star. It has such fantastic potential to be a fabulous 5 star with the grounds but it was a major dissapointment that set us back €89. Also don't be fooled by trip advisor saying breakfast is served until 11.30am, we made that mistake and arrived for breakfast at 10.15am to learn it had stopped at 10.00am. My tip: visit this hotel for pictures and experience the views but do not stay it's a waste!!!!
