A family of four (2 adults - 2 children 4,6) we wanted to stay for 5 nights outside the Munich city centre but not too far from it and convenient for the use of public transport. This traditional German hotel is conveniently located between the Munich airport and City Centre. The S-bahn (S8) station is just a 5-7 minute walk...

Staid there for one night and was already a bit scared when I've heart that they don't have 24/7 reception. Anyway- as its Oktoberfest it's hard to get anything around Munich and I had customer meetings next day. Arriving there the next shock was that the kitchen closes at 9pm BUT the friendly receptionist managed to get me one of...

Stayed there last week and really enjoyed it. Had room number 1 which was huge & even had a small kitchen tucked away behind one of the doors. Typically Bavarian & offered some real character & decent value too. Well located but quiet with its own car park. It was 6 euros each from the local station into the heart...

Gasthof zur Post in Unterföhring, Bavarias Media Capital, is in the centre and a 10 minute walk from the SBahn station. The SBahn to Munich centre takes 15 minutes, runs 24x7 every 20 minutes and is cheap at euro 2,40. The hotel recently refurbished their rooms (currently the only modernized hotel in Unterföhring) so travellers enjoy an up to date...

This cozy little hotel offers no luxury but everything you need in good quality and with a distinctly Bavarian touch. Plus, for Munich, it is reasonably prized. The room (No. 1), not Bavarian-style, has obviously been renovated not too long ago. Beds were good, shower was excellent and the water hot. Breakfast is served in the Bavarian-style restaurant: cold cuts,...

My friend and I spent our last two nights in Germany here. We wanted somewhere close to the airport (for us to fly out), also with parking, and close to transit into the city though. We stumbled across this and did not regret it! First of all, it was easy to find. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to the S-bahn stop...

We booked this hotel for a trip to see Chelsea play (and win) in Munich for the Champion's League final. anticipating, correctly that the city centre hotels would be full or expensive, we opted for gasthof Zur Post in Unterfohring in the northern suburbs of Munich. It was fairly basic but the service was excellent and friendly and the rooms...
