#2 of 9 Speciality lodging in Ardales
The Camping "Parque Ardales", is located on a huge forest, covered with pine trees on the banks of the dam Conde del Guadalhorce and bordering on the Natural Park of Los Gaitanes. The distribution of plots for camping and caravans, integrating them into the forest, the campsite "Parque Ardales" an atypical model where enjoyment of the natural environment, privacy and respect for nature are combined. Inside the camping we own path "Mirador del Somormujo" area with jetty for canoes and pedal boats, swimming area and possibility of orientation activities, Tibetan bridges, abseiling and archery. They can also use our barbecues (with written permission from reception if conditions allow).

Hi both my husband and my self camped here last Monday for 3 nights on arrival we noticed that the outer shell of our tent was not in the bag so we had to sleep in the two inner compartments on the second night I woke up at 2 am with someone walking around our tent I tried to waken my husband but he was snoring away so I looked out of the net bit of the tent and there was a torch shinning on my face I shouted who’s there and what do u want he kept on staring at me still with the torch shining in my face he was dressed in black trousers and a black hooded jumper over his head my husband woke up then because I was squealing at the person with the light he then run down the stairs and my husband shouted at him as he tried to get out of the tent but the person with the light ran down past the toilets We were both terrified my husband then put a knife in the tent as we were scared but we couldn’t sleep so we felt a bit safer sleeping in the car but we never slept much In the morning I went up to the reception and told the girl what happened just then a male member of staff said yes that was security he checks the tents at night time and because there was 2 small tents and we only paid for one tent my husband then said he put down we were bringing a 3 metre tent and he said everything is ok as he looked at our tent and he said he wouldn’t charge us for the other inner part I said that’s not the point we were terrified if the guy with the torch said securidad we would have known he was security

Went with some friends and stayed in an apartment. One of our other friends who paid to stay in the camping ended up sleeping on the floor of the apartment on a blow up bed. Since the employees were apparently spying on us they knew this and refused to give us our £50 deposit back even though we left the place spotless! They then asked us in raised voices to stay whilst they checked for any damages so they could charge us more! If your planning on staying here just know that they are rude and will rip you off!

We love this campsite as not only is it picturesque (being by the lake and in amongst trees) but there is also a lot to do around about eg swimming, walking, kayaking, SUP. The onsite shop is handy for cold drinks and anything else you may have forgotten to pack. The check in can be slow which is a bit annoying.

Stayed at Parque Ardales this past weekend. It is a really good place to enjoy a family break. The kids had a great time there. We stayed in tents, the plots were ok and reasonably well maintained. The communal facilities are ok, some small improvements would make them great. I would definitely visit this campsite again. It’s good and all the staff very friendly.

We went this weekend with my 2 dogs, obviously we paid €50 which is a refundable deposit if everything is as you find it. My dogs are amazing and we go everywhere with them, my shock is when I checked out which is that they said that the quilt had hair on and that they had to keep the €50 so that they can clean the bedspread!!!! It’s ridiculous that they keep €50 to clean the bedspread, erm hello don’t you clean them anyways 😷, anyhow very disappointed never going back!!!

I'm sorry, but in the apartment it's very clear that dogs can not get into bed. On the other hand, in addition to the quilts full of hairs, one of the quilts had been put in the closet and was vomit dog. At check-out, they were told all this and the lady who stayed at the apartment said that it seemed normal that we did not return the deposit.
