The good bits: The location is perfect, free car parking adjacent to the hotel, decent restaurant with a helpful and friendly waiter, Manuel. One room was simple, clean but a bit tired. The hotel staff secured us tickets for the walk at no extra charge. The problems: Firstly we booked by email with Amparo in autumn 2015 and visited in...

The restaurant is attached to an hotel (to the left if you are facing the main hotel door) and it isn't immediately obvious. Portions are generous and traditionally Spanish. Try the lamb shoulder cooked in honey which is for two persons, or the wild boar. But the simple things like the salads, cheese and meats are very good. The vino...

This restaurant serves great food. Maybe the price range is a bit higher than others in the area, but the quality food is worth it. They have special dishes of the day, stunning steaks and deserts to die for.

We were 2 couples staying the night before walking the Csminito del Rey. The welcome was good, the receptionist Amparo was helpful, and the room was perfectly adequate. February in the mountains can be cold, but the room was warm, with a plug-in heater and sufficient blankets on the bed. The bathroom was tired - the shower fitment did not...

Stayed 1 night at this hotel January 2016. The hotel gave us tickets to hike the Caminito del ray when we asked for them. The receptionist was pleasant. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was good. The area is beautiful. The nearby resturant nearby, El Kiosko had tasty food. There was not free parking "on site" but there...

We stayed here summer of 2015. We came to walk the Caminito del Rey. Tickets were not available on the website, but Elena was able to arrange tickets for us. We parked in the private enclosed parking lot behind the hotel, but parking on the street just beyond the hotel looked fine too. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable...

This is an older country hotel in a tiny town amidst beautiful natural scenery. Though older, it's kept up in great shape, very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly. We only stayed here so we could hike El Caminito Del Rey the next morning, and it worked out great (you can leave your car at the hotel and walk...

We came to this beautiful area number of years ago but at that stage the Caminito Del Rey was not open. We were surprised to find that it was open when we recently came to the Malaga area and were really keen to walk it. However we could not get tickets through the booking system. We chose La Posanda De...

A truly lovely family run hotel. It took me back to childhood holidays where life is simpler. The view from the room was beautiful over pine forests and it was charmingly rustic. The situation is stunning and quiet. Good if I in the main reception but wonderfully lacking in the bedroom:-)
