We didn't stay at the Estancia overnight and just came for lunch and horse riding. The package cost 900 pesos per person and we also paid extra for a nice bottle of wine. This was brilliant! Lunch was one of the best rustic meals we had here, and included amazing empanadas. The bar is stocked with a nice selection of...

Absolutely Fantastic! We were a group of friends from Canada, Australia and the UK and we all agreed, it was the highlight of our trip. And that's saying something considering how fantastic the rest of the trip was. We stayed the week before in Mendoza, and they helped us arrange our travel for that week as well as getting to...

My fiance and I just returned from 4 days at Estancia la Alejandra. Our first visit to Argentina, our time here was by far the highlight. Our gauchos, Matias and Adrian were warm, welcoming and a pleasure to stay with. They made every effort to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one. The ranch is expansive and sits on the...

I booked our stay at Alejandra through the website and emailing direct. The website has done a very good marketing job but I felt utterly 'had' after paying 1600 Pesos ($100 US) for a collection from Mendoza city to the estancia which is a rickety building surrounded by mud: not the luxury treat I thought I had found as the...

Dear madame and sir, I apologize for all the miss understanding, I think the problem is you are not the type of guest for La ALejandra ranch. This is not a luxury hotel, it´s a hotel for people that seek culture and nature, it never meant to be luxury. I think Pia who arranged your stay, really miss understood your...

We booked this from the UK before travelling. They arranged our transfer from Mendoza for $160 US Dollars each way. The Estancia was listed as a luxurious getaway for $280 US Dollars per room per night. It is a hovel and would not be out of place in a city slum. The prices charged are tantamount to robbery and exploit...

A mess-up by Booking.com meant we arrived at Estancia La Alejandra with what we thought was a confirmed reservation to be told that there was no room for us to stay. A hugely apologetic and helpful manager tried to find us alternative accommodation for the night - not an easy task late afternoon on 31 December - and said we...

We were picked up from out hotel outside of Mendoza and driven to the ranch with a brief stop on a ridge overlooking the beautiful valley. Beautiful views and a perfect temperature day in October. We had a lovely ride through the fields underneath the spectacular snow capped Andes. All kinds of birds, some horses and cattle in the fields...

Ride horses along the Andes amongst wild stallions, sit by the fire and enjoy a nice "asado" (Argentine BBQ), and learn all about Argentina's Gaucho culture at Estancia Alejandra! You must do this while in the Mendoza province. Its about $120/person, which will be one of the more expensive excursions you do in Argentina (everything is so cheap compared to...

I stayed for three nights in April 2014. La Alejandra was a wonderful respite from Mendoza. I had the place to myself and was fortunate to wake up to spectacular views of El Cordón de Plata each morning. I especially appreciated the mornings because the clouds rolled in each afternoon and obscured the views. If I had come just for...

Estancia La Alejandra is a must do if you are in Mendoza. We visited for just a day trip to ride horses through the Andes. What a beautiful way to spend a day with the Andes in view.
