We took this place as a resting stop for our trip back from Rome to our home. As several reviews already indicate, the trip to the hotel is challenging with steep narrow roads that do not even allow for crossing traffic. We arrived with two cars at the hotel little before 17h. As the gate only opens at 18h,we decided...

First of all: the hotel has a stunning location with fab views over the Lake. It is humble and simple, but the owners are super friendly and relaxed! I actually felt so at home I came down for breakfast in my PJ's! (we also were the only guests :-)) Food was pleasant, authentic and completely in the style of the...

We spent a night here on our way to Le Marche, Italy. Yes, it was an "interesting" drive from Como, but wow! what a place. The hotel is clean and simply furnished, but the amazing views of Lake Como and the Alps in the distance - both from the terrace and our room - made up for the lack of...

This property has spectacular views of Lake Como. It took us a while to find it ,there are white signs to guide you but at one point it it gets confusing because it looks as if you are entering a private road. Disregard this keep going! The road uphill with a manual car is extremely challenging!!!!!! Hairpin turns and very...

For a longer weekend guests will find a great view over the Alps sometimes you can also see the Appenine Mountains. Fresh cuisine, fair prices. Rooms quite noisy because of wooden construction. Surrounding very quiet. Situated on foot of Brunate you need to pass very narrow streets. Motorcycle drivers most welcome.

We spent one night here on our way home from the South of France. We have to echo many of the other reviews. If you can hold your nerve throwing a large car through the very narrow lanes of Brunate you are well rewarded. The owners are friendly and incredibly helpful, the rooms are clean and we had a lovely...

it all started with emails--- fast response, thorough, even humor-- with delayed planes and other issues we had many email and text exchanges with roberto, always prompt and helpful--- i have learned to be wary of trip advisors reviews because you don't know the people reviewing, do they think like you? to help you, we (4 women of a certain...

We endorse the previous reviews. The challenge is to find the place through the narrow alleys of Brunate. It takes 15 minutes of careful driving from Down the hill. The view, food and service worth it.

We spent two nights here and can endorse the previous, positive reviews. The location is remote, being halfway down the mountain between Como and Brunate but this is a positive rather than a negative in our view. The hotel is surrounded by woodland but the terrace to the front has been cleared to allow spectacular views. There is a terrific...

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights in July as part of a road trip through the Alps. It wasn't the easiest place to find, but that helps it to be secluded and peaceful. The staff were fantastic, the views were incredible, and the food was terrific. We had two memorable nights, with good company and great food...
