We just had 6 incredible nights at Lady Elliott Island. I swam with a manta ray, saw turtles hatching, watched land crabs scrambled on my path, heard mutton birds cry like babies and had to duck for Noddies everywhere, saw fat green frogs in the trees and snorkelled in a tropical coral garden full of wonder every day. There was...

My family and I had a wonderful day trip up to island with fantastic service, scenic plane ride, warm water snorkeling with turtles on the Great Barrier Reef and more. Highly recommend this trip to everyone who want to get in a bit of the Great Barrier Reef.

We originally selected Lady Elliott since David Attenborough has recommended it after filming his series on the Great Barrier Reef. We were not disappointed. Lady Elliot is located in the Great Barrier Reef green zone. To get there you need to arrive by small plane. The accommodations range from a Reef View room which is what our travel agent booked...

Where to start, check in at Hervey Bay was simple and the pilot on our little plane was very friendly and helpful. The flight over was about 35 minutes and they circle the Island so no matter which side of the plane you sit you can see it out of your window, it looks EXACTLY like all the photos. On...

We stayed for a week and copped the tail end of cyclone Debbie, so the weather was overcast and windy. This didn't diminish our stay. Most of the attraction is in the water, so it made no difference to us, we were snorkeling and the wind was warm, the water was warmer. Reading all the ratings here are all very...

We enjoyed 3 nights on the island. Despite some bad weather we still managed to snorkel in the rain. We stayed in a garden villa which was basic but neat and clean. The cafe and restaurant was good and the food, while not fancy, had enough variety, was tasty and filling. Drinks were what you expect to pay, a beer...

I don't know where to begin. All in all it was a good stay but definitely not what we expected. We are 4 backpackers and we are used to very very low standard, but Lady Elliot was under that standard. If the price would have been lower I wouldn't complain, but 660$ for two nights was definitely to much. Our...

This was a family visit. We wanted to access the Great Barrier reef, without the coral bleaching, and at a location that is easy to get to. Lady Elliot is the most southerly coral cay in the reef. The eco resort provides packages which include flights (from Hervy Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Bundaberg), accommodation, half board, and with free...

We came to Elliot Island to snorkel the Barrier Reef, and since this is an eco resort we expected spartan facilities. While our room (a reef unit with a queen bed and private bathroom) was definitely spartan, it was comfortable. Everything else about the resort is first class, every detail seems well thought out and deliberate. We stayed for 3...
