We (2 adults and 2 kids) had the most wonderful stay at Conversas de alpendre in the end of october. This place is magical, it gives you a very special experience, a mix of luxurious pampering and yet a very homey feeling. The family that runs it and their staff are very charming and helpful. The dining experience also feels unique, with a little surprise element with every meal, and an intimate setting, maybe a little like a supperclub. The food is fantastic. And the place is kidfriendly!

Outstanding Find
My wife and I stayed here in October 2019. We were searching for somewhere to stay for a week as we attended our friends wedding. We had 2 rooms during our stay. No Stress is a double room with a large bed, strong shower room and separate toilet. The terrace has a 2 person hot tub and seating area. We then moved to the treehouse for a couple of nights... wow! The views.. The hotel has the most fantastic chilled, laid back and friendly vibe. Marta, Tiago and their parents/in laws have created a very special place. If you want somewhere to relax and unwind this is it... Breakfast is a relaxed affair with a nice selection of yogurt, fruit followed by pastries, bread cheese & cold meats and then eggs of your choice. Let them know if you want to eat in, choose meat, fish or seafood/shellfish and the chef will whip you up a superb dinner (best cataplana I think I've ever tasted). I could go on and on, but my advice would be to come here and experience it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.…

Amazing Retreat in the Eastern Algarve
My wife and I were looking for less-traveled but homey lodging in the eastern Algarve, and Conversas De Alpendre delivered! The entire family and staff is welcoming and warm, without being overbearing. The on-site restaurant is also amazing! The mix of couples and families works seamlessly. We can't wait to go back!

I have travelled quite extensively and stayed in many nice properties, but I must say this must have been one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The atmosphere and the layout of the property makes you truly disconnect from everyday life and relax in absolutely beautiful surroundings. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable, with a spacious walk-in shower. The bed itself was also very comfortable. There is a nice pool, which is unheated, but very refreshing in the algarve weather. The food both at breakfast and dinner was delicious, prepared with fresh local ingredients. The dinner, albeit slightly pricier than local restaurants was a very nice experience with a set menu. The owners were absolutely lovely and always available to answer any questions or make sure we did not need anything. Also, due to the fact that I had to leave early for medical reasons, they have been really accommodating. I am looking forward to go back for a longer stay next time.…

I almost didn’t want to write a review to keep this gem a secret!
Flawless! We were greeted as in a 5 star hotel with an orange juice. We have been given a beautifully romantic bedroom with a small living room area and a large bathroom with a super rain shower. The decor of the room is simple but very stylish. The same vibe of decor can be found in the common areas! The family who own and run the place are the sweetest people. We felt like friends of the family not hotel guests. It was lovely to feel that! The nearby Fabrica beach and Cacela Velha village are a must see! We will certainly find another time to come back to Conversas de Alpendre! It is difficult nowadays to find a place that has such an amazing value for money! We had great breakfasts, light lunches a few times and dined twice in our 4 day stay. All meals was impeccably delicious with local produce and fruit from their orchard. We found each night a little munchie at turn down service, on our bed, chocolate covered orange or cookies. A nice little extra touch you would find in a 5 star hotel. I also had a wonderful massage in a quaint sheltered tented area in the garden. The garden has a magnificent grove of old olive trees. The pool was warm and a nice array of sun beds around it and around the hotel grounds which was nice when I wanted to chill with a book after lunch. I highly recommend this hotel.
