Was recommended this bar and wow great atmosphere great setting great staff clean toilets and the most amazing cocktail list and the best ingredients , fab music and shots passed around by staff, not as cheap as other bars but the price meant a nicer sort of person and nicer sort of staff !! Go and try it

Just returned from a week in Skala staying at Captains House Hotel, first time in Greece and will definitely return. Lovely little 2 star hotel, on a bit of a hill, close to the beach, very welcoming and would have given 5 stars but there were a couple of things that could be improved, such as the bathroom light bulb...

I'm Not sure Poole132 review is for the same place! We've just returned from a week at The Captains House and absolutely loved it. We stumbled across it last year on a visit to Skala. We have previously always stayed in big 4/5 star hotels with half board but decided to take the plunge and try something different. Yes, if...

Read all the reviews before we went and was really looking forward to our holiday but it was not as it appears in the photo's or at least our room wasn't. There were dark stains in every corner perhaps insufficient paint or possibly mould. paintwork needed redoing cleaning caught all skirting's. Bed lining and towels poor quality but were changed...

We wanted a holiday that was chilled out, easy, close to beach and value for for money. The Captains Hotel & Bar team gave us just that, this is a family run, small and typically greek hotel. We arrived at lunchtime after a 50 euro taxi from the airport (standard price) and our room on the 3rd floor was shown...

First time staying here but would definitely come back again. Choose a sea facing room on the 1st or 2nd floor for lovely views (and further away from the Captains Bar) on the opposite side of the street. We had room 16 and weren't disturbed by the music at all. Rooms are a good size although bathrooms are small (only...

Stayed here in June, had a problem when I arrived as they couldn't find my reservation, but was sorted the next day. Staff are very friendly, the owner is a really nice man that says hello each morning and sits out on the patio with you during breakfast. The breakfast is simple continental style but it was good. The rooms...

Stayed here for a night with my wife in June whilst island hopping and waiting for a crossing to Zante. I can see why this gets such good reviews as the staff are great and the hotel is smart and clean. The rooms in particular are very well appointed and comfortable - I had the best nights sleep during the...

We stayed at Captain's House Hotel from June 16th to 23rd, and generally were very happy with our choice of hotel. The rooms are clean and of an OK size, with a safe and air conditioning. Sadly our requested double bed was 2 singles pushed together, which I don't like, but they were comfortable and served our needs well. We...
