Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Aborted travel plans to head further east with the upgraded travel restrictions became a wonderful opportunity to visit Gilli T. For now, it has temporarily pressed ‘pause’ as party island central but this makes it a perfect time to support local businesses. Challenging circumstances did not deter the ever professional and friendly management and staff at Lumi. Nothing is too much trouble and they were only too happy to ensure our stay was a memorable one.
Lumi Resort is a truly superb location to watch incredible sunsets over Mount Agung from poolside. We were not disappointed with our deluxe suite and deluxe views. The menu is a small but diverse range of Western and Indonesian delights. Our favourites were the ‘Dirty Burger’ and ‘Prawn Spaghetti’. Breakfast is inclusive with villa bookings and is a generous serve with plenty of Lombok coffee to enjoy. The GM is a master bartender and we can guarantee his cocktails won’t disappoint.
Resort bikes are provided as an enjoyable transport option to explore the island at your own pace. Lumi resort is perfectly placed to enjoy the beach at low tide, hike to the lookout and or head to the nearby horse riding stables for a ride along the inland trails or the beach .
Thank you again to the wonderful management and staff for our fabulous week at Lumi Resort. We look forward to returning again one day. We have no hesitation recommending Lumi Resort to the discerning traveller searching for a quality travel destination.

I asked these guys to set something up for my girl and I on Valentine’s Day and man did they turn it on. They hand built us our own little habana and served one of the best lobsters I have ever eaten. Thanks for a great night. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the Delux Cottage in the late of Dec 2020. Enjoyable moment.
Recommended. Nice pool in the beach club with the view of the lovely beavh.
Staff members: helpful, and nice.
Design: Exterior with lovely garden. Spacious. Right place to take nice photos. Cozy. Room interior of the Delux Cottage is also nice! Spacious. Love the porch with the view towards the beach club. No bath, tho'. Only shower.
Things to improved: robes, hair dryer, sandals, tea bags (only coffee) could be provided, particularly for the deluxe cottage.
Bfast: very basic, only american bfast, fried rice, fried noodle (you can only choose one), some slices of fruit. You can only choose one: coffee,or tea, or a glass of juice. Additional order means extra charge.

We stayed in Hotel Lumi for three nights and in general had a pleasant stay. It is convenient to get bikes to cycle around the island, and in general the staff is friendly. However, the price of the food and especially (alcoholic) drinks is a lot for what you get (the portions are small). For example, we ordered a Papaya salad with prawns and there was 1 prawn in it (sliced in pieces) and one tomato (also sliced). When we said something about this to one of the staff he did not really respond to this (he seemed to be young and not so competent - at the breakfast he also made some mistakes with out order). However, the other staff is all very friendly and helpful. Our cottage was very nice and very clean.
Also, the breakfast buffet is not great (the a la carte part is nice though). The swimming pool and view over the ocean are lovely, however unfortunately it gets very busy sometimes as people 'reserve' their beds by putting their towels on it (also for other people we noticed) which is not something which should be tolerated by a decent 4-star hotel, especially considering that people from outside the hotel can go here too. The music is also rather loud so it is not very convenient to go here if you want to 100% relax.
In addition, we arrived at the hotel as the first guest of that day (that was mentioned by the reception) at around 11:00, however our room was not ready until 15:30. This was a bit inconvenient for us. However, in general the reception welcomed us very friendly and were always available to help us with our questions.m

Stayed in Hotel Lumi for two nights travelling from Lombok. Hotel is situated about a 20min walk from the harbour or 5 mins in a horse dawn taxi, by the way there are no cars. This will cost about 100,000IDR.
We had a great welcome from Ricky at the front desk and up graded to a Superior deluxe bungalow. Room is spacious and immaculately clean with good AC and bath room. Breakfast is self serve with great omelettes to order. Restaurant has a good all day menu and is reasonably priced.
A must is the bikes. Lumi is a little way from some of the main spots and is quieter but supply a complementary bikes. You can cycle around the island in 30m and get to some great restaurants, snorkelling and diving sites. Coral beach is great for turtles in the morning.
Ricky and the team run a great hotel creating a relaxed and value for money hotel.

Lombok trip with a couples we spent a few days on Gili Trawangan. And Lumi Hotel is our choice to stay, a hotel with good hospitality and a location right in front of the sunset point.
We chose a cottage room type with a design like Sade's house with a view to a backyard the coconut trees.
Coincidentally an electric power outage on the island due to damage installation (burn), but with the Lumi generator, it was sufficient to supply electricity needs in the room (shower, charge personal devices, etc.)

Stayed for 4 nights in a superior cottage. Cannot recommend highly enough. Absolutely beautiful. Very quiet part of island with amazing sunsets. Be prepared to cycle for dinner - all part of the magic of Gili T and the hotel provides bikes.

Awful experience. False advertising - we were given a smaller room than the one we had booked. The staff were rude and annoying with bad attitudes, particularly one waitress that screams hello at the top of her voice. Someone needs to tell the staff that they are there to work, not mess about. The food and drink was average and completely overprices. Avoid at all costs.

Great hotel, beautifully designed and comfortable. There's hammocks on the balcony, on the main area and by the beach. There's also a great view of the beach by the pool! And some evenings they play movies by the beach/by the ocean 😎
There's a good variety of western and delicious local food with lots of refreshing drinks and cocktails (20% off in the evening if i'm not wrong). The best was the delicious hotel breakfast provided 😬
Great service, shoutout to Ayu, Chandra, Andi and Bumi! The reception was also helpful and was able to book a snorkelling tour conveniently because we had a short amount of time there.

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved every second of it. I mean, just the location and this stunning architecture, the delicious food (we couldn’t wait till breakfast each night haha ) and the most kindest and caretaking staff on the island. Every day there is a cinema in front of the beach, on the weekend there were live music as well as a hotel market, if you like to volunteer cleaning the Beach, you get rewarded with a cold beer, crafting your own souvenirs as well as free bike rentals. We stayed another night and this wasn’t a problem. We really recommend this hotel! Can’t wait to be back in the near future :)
