I thought it would be nice here, because of the enthusiastic stories from somebody we met on the way. But it was even better!
David, Noi and Pumpkin were very welcoming and we felt as we were at home immediately.
You can spent your time as you like and if you want advise or make a tour, just ask David.
We will surely come back, because this guesthouse is one of the best we ever visited.

We stayed three nights in the chalet, and we had a great stay. Thai House Isaan fit right in somewhere between a home stay and a resort in a positive way, the owners David and Noi are very friendly and makes one feel like home. It is a great place for kids, with a pool and variety of animals to watch right on the premises.
We did not try their food for dinner or lunch, but if it holds the same good standard as the breakfast, it should be fantastic.
Me, my wife and our son all loved our stay at Thai House Isaan and hope to be back soon.

We stayed 3 nights in David & Noi GH during Rain season, and we will never forget the kindness of the family and the place. David know the place very well and helps you a lot to understand many things about Thailand and especially Isaan and the area. Food is very good, many things to do if you are curious. It was a great experience for us during our stay in Isaan. Sure we will come again. Thanks to David and family...

We stayed a couple of days at Thai House Isaan and we had the opportunity to discover "the real thailand": villages, small temples, local markets... David is not only a great guide, but also an endless source of information and histories about Isaan and its people. Noi is a great cook and a special mention is due to the friendly dogs. Hope to come back soon.

Have a pleasant stay at the most personal guesthouse in the Isaan with David and Noi. We stayed for three nights and toured for two days with our pleasant guide, David himself!

The beautiful garden in the middle of a real Poo Thai village will be surprising at your arrival, but completely overruled by the warm welcome.

Have a swim in the nice child friendly pool and stay in one of the villa's, the chalet or in the main house completely made of timber.

We would recommend this stay and hopefully return to it again soon.

We stayed 5 nights in the “Chalet” and we loved the time we spent in Thai House Isaan. Nice bedding, lovely atmosphere, quiet, even if we were in the middle of the village.
The breakfast was nicely cooked by David, and Noi took care of dinner (at a very fair price). David just told us what Noi had in mind for dinner, and that was it! So good when you’ve been traveling for a while to sit at the table and see tasty food put in front of you without bothering to choose on a menu. Special awards for the stir-fries, curry and the whole fish, Isaan style.
David walked us around the village and the nearby paddy fields. We also spent a whole day with him (and Pumpkin!!) on a tour to visit temple, homestay village, falls, market etc.
We learned a lot about the Isaan culture while talking with David.
Special mention for Pumpkin (you have to get there to know who she is!).
But please, David, put a bigger sign in front of your house for travelers!

A very belated review of a short break I spent here in May 2015. If you want an antidote to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this is the place to come to. A short flight and a longish (but comfortable) drive from the airport and you're in the middle of a beautiful totally unspoilt part of Thailand. David, Noi and Pumpkin couldn't be more welcoming, the cabins are quiet and comfortable, and the local area has plenty to offer. Visited the local school and held an impromptu English class, went to Noi's family farm where they were waiting for the first rains to plant the rice, and had a day tour with David, going to a nearby waterfall, local villages, a massive folly of a temple still being built, a town on the Mekong on the Lao border, and a market to get dinner for the day. David's love and enthusiasm for the area and the people really comes through and helped to make this a memorable short (too short) break. I miss my egg and bacon by the pool in the mornings!

My wife and I stayed for two nights and wish we had stayed more. The cabins have wifi (with enough speed to run full video facetime to the U.S.A.), large refrigerators, satellite TV and decent bathrooms. The setting is much like a homestay and you can see and experience life in a small Isaan farm village. Thai House Isaan is a great base from which to explore portions of Isaan that are rarely seen and still charming in an unspoiled way.

I cannot say enough about David, Noi and Pumpkin. They take a very nice, basic setting for a resort and make it so personal, welcoming and friendly that you will be planning your return trip before you leave.

Highly recommended.

We stayed four nights and although the weather wasn't favourable had a wonderful time thanks to the hospitality of David and Noi and the beautiful garden setting of the Thai House Isaan. Travelling with our two boys (4 and 2 years) it was great to have a pool and lots of animals around the house, the kittens by far the most popular. David cooks up a nice breakfast everyday and knows plenty of interesting things to do, places to see. Noi takes care of the authentic Thai meals, delicious, and David "probably serves the best steak in Thailand" in his own words and he might be right! Local beef from Charolais/Braman cattle, straight from the nearby abbatoir, special requests for our sons were also no problem. We'd go to the market together and get our vegs and things. Not to forget their lovely daughter Pumpkin, they all made us feel right at home and since we were the only guests at the time after a few days it felt like we were visiting the family more than anything else. The 'romantic' bungalow we stayed in was perfect, enough room for our babycot and couch turned into extra bed. Thai house is in a small village, where everybody knows eachother and you get a great impression of Isaan life. All in all a wonderful experience in a lovely part of the Isaan with some lovely people.

Staying at thai House Isaan is in itself a good reason to travel to the Mukdahan's region! David, Noy and Pumkin welcomed us in their peacefull property, being nice and helpful with everything (tips for travelling, enlightment about the Thai culture, visit of their village and farms etc.). Moreover, the food is excellent, and we had choice between both Thai (prepared by Noi) and western (prepared by David) food.

Practically, they welcome guests in one of their three bengalows situated next to their house. Dinner is served next to the swimming pool.

The best place we stayed at in all Thailand!
