If you’re a tourist and like to explore by foot, this is the best location. Riverfront Hotel is across room the river promenade, the Indochina market that has a variety of inexpensive items, Two beautiful wats down the street and Chinatown nearby. Cafes and restaurants nearby also. Plenty of shaded parking behind the hotel lobby. This six story vintage hotel still maintains its original design with its use of wooden furniture and trim. All spacious rooms have been renovated with tiled floors, new light fixtures, flat scree TVs, and bedding. Unfortunately the upgraded bathrooms still have showers that have no partial wall; thus, water gets all over the floor. The rooms facing the river with a balcony will cost more than a standard room with no view or balcony. ( The hotel price may be cheaper than some of the online booking companies) The breakfast buffet is the typical buffet you find at Isaan hotels.

This is a very nice hotel. I stayed 2 nights in a superior room on the 5th floor. Very nice river view. The room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the river, one double bed and one single bed, fridge, kettle, desk, TV with many channels (no English channels), and beautiful wooden furniture. Bathroom was small but functional. The restaurant is on the top floor, and is only open for the buffet breakfast (included in the room price). Breakfast was average, with the usual fried rice, stir fry, fried eggs, porridge, toast, and watermelon. A few tables are outdoors overlooking the river. Parking lot was large and easy to maneuver. Staff were all helpful and a few of them spoke English. I have no prior experience with hotels in Mukdahan, but the superior room overlooking the river seemed like a very good value. Would definitely return.

We stayed one night at the Riverfront hotel. Right in front of the hotel, the entire street is taken up by rows of small shacks that sell various goods. These rows of shacks effectively block the river from the front of the hotel. Around 6pm when most of those vendors close, you end up with a very dark narrow alley in front of the hotel. Our room was large and well laid out. The bed was very comfortable. ++ Fridge with beer to purchase, kettle, aircon, good breakfast Minus: some cobwebs in the room and the vendor shacks

My short stay here was an absolute pleasure, from check-in to check-out and everything in-between ... I took a river view room that was big, quiet, comfortable and had an excellent bathroom and TV. The buffet breakfast is pretty special too and definitely worth considering as part of your reservation. However, the stars of the show remain the historic building itself, as well as the location, as you literally step into the middle of the Indochina Market (see my YouTube) and then cross to the Mekong River. Just magic!

There are some very good aspects of this place, location right in the middle of the Indo market and a short 600 meter walk to the night box market of eatieries etc. We paid extra for river view, but no table and chairs on the balcony was a miss. Nice views, great huge room, very clean and well presented. Staff at check in were lovely smiley and friendly. Breakfast was a miss, not much selection or taste, but nice layout and again river views from the tables.

It's my second time at this hotel. They closed for several months because of the pandemic and are slowing getting back to normal. There's a lot the like about the hotel: the location is close to the river and right in the Indo-China market. The room rate included breakfast which is pretty good especially when it's up on the 6th floor. The room facilities are good and the bed was good (read firm to head as is the standard) . The bathroom is a little basic though it has been renovated. Love all the wood used, Coffee at breakfast is diabolical Nescafe but there is a good coffee shop on the ground floor. Great value currently.

The hotel is right on the Mekong. Lots of shopping opportunities on site. Relatively quiet at night and therefore OK. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is plentiful and the coffee is very tasty. Definitely recommended for the price if you are passing through.

Always clean and comfortable. I've visited this hotel regularly over the last 6 years. It's always clean, and managed well. The riverfront rooms are my favorite. Plenty of shopping at your doorstep. There are a handful of riverfront restaurants a 15 minute walk south of the hotel. Bao pradit, is one.
