This hotel is a little gem right on the harbour front in Kos town. The hotel is basic but very clean and comfortable and the staff are so welcoming and genuine. Air con in all rooms as well. The pool area out the back is great. Not a huge amount of sun beds but there are always enough to accommodate. There is a pool spout, water jet area and a separate cool (but not cold) whirl pool. Despite being right at the harbour the hotel is very peaceful and tranquil especially around the pool. The hotel only offers B&B but a good range available and sitting out on the front terrace at breakfast watching the comings and goings by the harbour is a real pleasure to start your day. This was our second time at the Astron and special mention should be made of William at the reception who made us most welcome upon check in having remembered us from the previous year. Also Jenny who runs the pool bar. Hard working and providing excellent bar meals , drinks and snacks during the day but always with a smile. This really is an establishment that I really shouldn’t review because I want to keep it a secret all to myself ❤️

I stayed at the Astron for a week and couldn’t fault it at all. It is located right on the harbour and the bar and breakfast area both share the lovely view of the harbour and castle. Everything in Kos Town is in easy walking distance and there are loads of tavernas and fish restaurants nearby. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and everything was fresh. The bar was friendly and comfortable to sit in at night and the pool bar was open all pool hours with a good choice of drinks. All the staff were super friendly. I was always greeted with a friendly smile and everyone was really helpful and offered advice about transport and directions to places I wanted to visit. Very chilled place to stay and comfortable for a solo traveler. I will definitely stay there again if go back to Kos.

We stayed here early April, the hotel was basic but very clean and great service. Every member of staff was lovely and very friendly. The pool is ideal for all ages, there is a baby pool. So great for young families. There is a pool bar and the lady working there is lovely. The breakfast was ok, hot Buffett and fruit, cheese, meats and yogurt. I’d have just liked a toaster but overall it did the job.

We used this hotel daily. William Alexander on reception daily was really friendly and welcoming. We visited every day and he greeted us warmly even though we were staying at the hotel next door. We also chatted to a very helpful snack bar lady with blonde hair who passed the time of day with you. She was always smiling and wanting to chat. Such excellent facilities which were shared willingly. The pool was not heated but I swam in it every day. My sister just dipped her toes.

Stayed for 2 weeks in October, travelling with Tui. The hotel is ideally situated on the harbour and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We were originally given room 116 which has a bath with shower over, but as I'd requested a room with walk in shower due to problems with my knee, we were moved to room 121 a couple of days later. We really appreciated this as there are only 8 rooms with walk in shower and the hotel was pretty full. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and regularly refilled. The breakfast room and the bar both have terraces overlooking the harbour. The pool has easy access via walk down steps with a handrail, as well as ladders, and the tiles all around the pool are non-slip.

A lovely hotel overlooking the harbour, with views of the pirate ships at the front and pool views at the rear. The pool bar is open between 10.00 and 18.00 serving a good range of snacks and drinks from the ever delightful and cheerful Julia. All the staff are so very friendly, from Albina who serviced our room, Julia as already mentioned and William who seemed ever present in reception. We love this hotel .

We love The Astron. This is the 4th time we’ve stayed here and will definitely be back again. Everyone is so friendly, the location is fab & the view at breakfast across the harbour are the best. The rooms are spotlessly clean albeit a little dated but don’t let that put you off. Once you stay here you will want to go back.

The hotel is nice and clean, the staff friendly, helpful and all in all great. The pool is lovely and has a little bar next to it for snacks and drinks. The rooms are a bit outdated but still comfortable...but you will not spend too much time in them as there are too many things to do. The bathroom was the only thing that left me slightly disappointed as the bathtub had clearly patched up holes in it and on wall near the shower were some holes.... but it was still really clean!!!

Astron hotel has a great location right in the harbour of Kos Town. The fact it has a pool as well makes it pretty unique, most hotels with pools are further out. The pool is a good size, though sunbeds can get taken early and it gets busy later in the afternoon. Breakfast is a typical buffet, I wouldn't say it's the best quality but considering the room rate, it's to be expected. The staff are very friendly, especially the guy on reception who made a big effort to let me check in early and pick a better room even though the hotel was quite full. I would give 5 stars, but the rooms are a little dated and could do with refurbishing - in particular, there are only two plug sockets in the room and one of them is right next to the door so not very accessible. Also, the WiFi was very unstable while I was there, often very slow or no connection at all. The rooms are also not that well soundproofed and because it's a cheaper hotel, is popular with groups of youngsters who are prone to making noise late at night - it wasn't too bad, but something to be aware of. It's a nice hotel though and for the money it cost, I would return again.
