Apollon Hotel's modern rooms and cleanliness receive consistent accolades, with daily housekeeping contributing to the well-maintained ambiance. However, guests have voiced concerns about soundproofing and unexpected charges for room amenities. While the hotel's atmosphere and cleanliness are frequently praised, many find the additional fees for standard amenities, like gym access and WiFi, disappointing. The location is generally admired for its convenience to local attractions, though some suggest transportation may be necessary. The staff's friendliness stands out, despite occasional service inconsistencies and grievances over extra costs.

Just got back from an amazing stay. The two ladies on reception are very welcoming and friendly when they greet you. We stayed in room 255 and it was done to a very high standard and spotless. The cleaning lady done an amazing job and left the towels everyday in a different design. The bar staff work very hard, it was busy but they had a smile for everyone and were very efficient. The food was the best I've had on a holiday. A different theme evey night, and all cooked to perfection. We cant praise this hotel enough. Location is great, just a 20min walk to kos centre. The grounds and pool area was very impressive. We would recommend The Apollon to anyone and we will definately be returning.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Luckily a heatwave in the 1st week too.

Staff were a credit to the hotel, all were friendly, courteous and helpful.

Hotel, pool area and rooms were cleaned daily. We were upgraded from a Superior to Deluxe room (152) overlooking the pool and pool bar. Modern and clean. WiFi was €24 in the room for 14 days (1 device) perfect for our firestick. Lobby WiFi was free and extended out to pool bar. There was a hair dryer, fridge, digital safe and flat screen tv.

Food was really good for an AI Hotel. Plenty of choices, even if you're a picky eater. Covid required diners to wear disposable gloves using self service.

Snacks weren't the best but probably best you could hope for with covid. Selection of a pastry or two or ham/cheese roll. Although ice creams were also available.

Local inclusive drinks were all palatable, AI including Red/White wine, Lager, Gin, Vodka, Ouzo, Brandy, Whisky, Rum, Soft drinks, Tea/Coffee. Open 10am to 11pm AI and till 1am for paying customers. Only one bar open (pool bar) and only 1 barman (again due to covid)

Unfortunately no entertainment, luckily a few guests had portable speakers. The pub next door, Smugglers showed the football and had a Karaoke a couple of times a week. Although advisable to book a table as covid maximum of 50 people all seated and waiter service.

Lambi beach was just a few hundred yards away. 5 minute walk. Booked Nysros volcano tour opposite hotel (worth a look, €25 per person)

Hired a quad bike for 3 days opposite hotel too for €100) and a beach buggy for 2 days for €110) wouldn't really recommend either, should have had a car for a week instead really.

All in all a great holiday in October, a fantastic hotel and staff. We'll definitely be return next year if possible!

We had a 10 day stay in this hotel at the end of August.
The weather was still very hot, but some evenings it could cool down where long sleeves were more comfortable.

In terms of location this hotel is situated near Lambi, and thus a very good starting base to just roam around the nice beaches. But it was close enough to walk to the city center in Kos in about 25-30 mins at a leisurely pace. Since the bus station is in Kos town, you can pretty much see the whole island with various buses. The price is not expensive, but the schedule is fixed, so you need to plan ahead to ensure you are on time for the bus. Also make sure you know what days certain sights and locations are open/closed. You should be able to ask the reception or your tour operator contacts.

From the hotel to Kos Center there are plenty of restaurants to choose from along the way. Once at the city center, there are more to be found also near the Marina, so you won't lack of eateries or places to have a drink and enjoy the music or atmosphere.
Kos as an island is pretty small at 40+KM from one end to the other, so if you rent a car, you can pretty much see it in a day roughly speaking. But if you're there to just enjoy the island and the people (they are very hospitable and very nice!), enjoy the beaches and nice food, want to see some sights and walk around or bike around, may do a few tours, then Kos is the place to be.

The hotel itself was kept very clean every day, the staff was always super friendly, the Covid regulations was kept in check at the buffet area and indoors too.
In terms of facilities it was certainly enough for us that there was a fitness room, a swimming pool, massage possibilities and enough choice at the buffet restaurant, even for us (as vegetarian and vegan).

I do have to call out 1 special person from the hotel staff and that was Liljana who was the room caretaker on the 2nd floor of the renovated area.
From day 1 she kept our room immaculately clean. This lovely lady would always greet us at any time of day with a big smile and just huge friendliness. It certainly made our day every morning being greeted this warmly. As if that was not enough, she would make the most ingenious shapes of our towels. So we found a surprise every day of our stay which is simply going above and beyond hospitality, it just makes you feel welcomed and at home.

We found all staff at the hotel just very friendly and welcoming and just generally very hard working fantastic people. So a big thank you to the Apollon Hotel Staff that seemed to be working every single day, you guys are amazing.

All in all a very lovely holiday destination and place to stay!

We are coming to the end of our stay at the Apollon hotel, so I will write my honest review.

We arrived in the early hours and received a friendly greeting, then we were shown to our rooms. As the all inclusive finished at 11pm the bar was payment only, but they allowed us one free drink each.

When we booked we had a choice of a one bedroom room to sleep 3 people, or a two bedroom room at the same price, we took the two bedroom so our son would have his own room. We wish now we would have opted for the one bedroom room. The one bedroom blocks surround the pool and are recently renovated, our two bedroom room was set back behind these.

The room was spotlessly clean and the maids were excellent at keeping it that way, our only gripe was that the room was badly in need of renovating, also it’s rather strange that the second bedroom had no plug sockets. The beds were very hard which didn’t bother me, but my wife found them uncomfortable. When these rooms are brought to the standard of the other blocks, they will be lovely.

Internet access costs 5 euro per device, per day. Although we had this, there was no internet signal in our block, but there was by the pool.

The pool is beautiful and very clean, at its deepest it’s only around chest height so perfect for children. The area was paved and easy to walk about on bare footed. Beautiful palm trees surround the pool making it feel very relaxing. Sun beds can be an issue, we had to be up at 8am if all three of us wanted beds together, there is a sign to say towels will be removed off beds if you don’t sit on them, but we saw towels on beds for hours and nothing was done, if someone needed a bed and told reception then maybe they would have been moved.

The pool bar needs some attention, most of our stay there has been just one lady serving there during the day, although she is lovely and works very hard, you can expect a long queue to get a drink, extra staff should be a must.

Drinks at the bar are okay, beer on draught, soft drinks, three cocktails to choose from, also gin, wine and ouzo, anything else you have to pay for.

The restaurant was excellent, we didn’t have to wait to be seated once, food was always hot, and we enjoyed everything we tried with a good selection of savoury and sweets. The staff work so hard, always walking about looking to clear plates or offer help, and always very pleasant. The restaurant has a different theme every night for food, which gave good variety. We recommend visiting the Italian at the sister hotel next door too, the food was delicious.

The hotel is great for couples and families with young children, but if you have teenagers then there is nothing for them to do. The hotel has the space and would benefit from a games room and a pool table for teens to use. My son and another boy his age sat inside most afternoons using the WiFi as they were bored.

Overall an excellent hotel, very clean, lovely friendly staff and great food. If they can sort out bar staff, and a games room it will be even better.

Thank you Apollon.

We visited the Apollon in October 2020 we were lucky as Kos was not on the UK quarantine list. This was our 5th visit to this hotel and again we were not disappointed.

The hotel is very aware of COVID and the staff wear masks. When you go into the restaurant you have to wear gloves. Someone mentioned about people not wearing masks in the restaurant I must admit I think that would be a good idea as people can breath all over the food. The lady on reception was very helpful as when we arrived we asked to change rooms. We had been put into a room on the third floor but as I explained hubby has a heart condition and can’t do stairs. We only had to wait a short while for a new room and we went into the restaurant and had a meal while they sorted it out.

This hotel is really spotlessly clean the rooms are cleaned every day and the towels are changed every day.

There is always a good choice of food here and we never struggle to get a good meal. We always go home a few pounds extra.

We love this hotel and that is why we keep going back all the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If there is a problem with anything it will will sorted straight away.

Hopefully if we are allowed we will be returning again in May 2021 as we love it so much.

This hotel, when choosing a tour, was chosen at the last moment and did not regret it at all! Our trip was for 10 nights. The young man and I are quite picky about food, as there is an allergy to the list of products, and to the hotel service, so I would like to share my impression.
And so on in order:
1. Accommodation and room. We arrived in the evening and were immediately placed, issued at the reception quickly, the room was already ready for us. There are no complaints about the cleaning of the rooms at all, they were cleaned so imperceptibly, towels and bed linen were changed every day.
2. Nutrition. As always, Greece is full of an abundance of hot dishes, side dishes, desserts and fruits, as in all hotels.
I would like to mention the coffee, it is great here, take a double Americano with milk and you will not lose)
For the entire stay at the hotel, we were not so tired of the food that it seems to me that I did not try everything. Everything was really delicious and all the products are fresh.
3. Service. Regarding the service, we were pleasantly surprised. Firstly, the hotel staff really worked quickly and imperceptibly, with a pleasant mood, as friendly as possible to the guests. The girl Lucy who was cleaning our room was very friendly and even made us swans on the bed, which is very cute. To sum up, the hotel was pleasantly impressed! We expected the hotel to be nice, but not so good in a good way) I believe that all guests from young to old will be able to relax in this hotel. What kind of vacation you want, this is what you will choose during your trip.

We stayed at Apollon Hotel for 7 nights in July 2021. Greece was one of the countries that we could still visit with relatively minimum regulations due to covid. It was one of the best stays I've had in a hotel I must say.

The hotel had a couple of buildings with rooms and in the middle of them the pool area, sunbeds and the bar area with terrace. It was all very clean and organised.

We really liked the bar area, most of our nights we stayed at the hotel to chill and play games. Great staff at the bar, there was a super friendly lady each day and at the end of the day a really awesome dude was making the drinks. Don't know what his name was but he was awesome! Always great music when he stood at the bar. If someone knows the mix he always puts on please let me know!

The room we had was the superior room, situated in the main building above the dining area, I expected a lot of noise when I noticed we were above it The room was really quiet and the only thing we sometimes heard were chairs moving and the music they play at the dining area, not disruptive in any way. The bed was comfy, pillows were a little small/thin. Airconditioning was really nice and got the room cold in a matter of minutes, really nice when its 32º, also the small fridge that there was came in handy to store som bottles of cold water for a trip the next day. The bathroom was also good and stoop up against expectations.

Furthermore the the dining (breakfast/lunch/diner) was great and well situated with covid regulations. Great staff that helped/cleaned and were really friendly. Food tasted good and changed a little every day. It was nice that every day there was a completely different cuisine, with different meats, pasta's, vegetables etc. Dining times were also great, not to early/late, really flexible.

Overall we've had a super great experience at Apollon Hotel. Would really enjoy visiting again! Thanks Apollon!

Fantastic hotel - very clean and modern. Exceeded expectations in so many ways. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our housemaid, Lkjana, cleaned our rooms every day and made amazing towel sculptures of animals and people which were placed on our bed every day to make us smile. The reception staff too were very helpful and efficient. The food was buffet style with plenty of choice and different theme nights. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that a lot of food ran out 30mins before end of service so if you arrived late for lunch or dinner you had fewer choices. Overall though fabulous hotel and would definitely recommend.

Dear M_A_R_YB, Thank you for your kind words regarding your impression of Apollon Hotel and our valued staff members. Please be advised that in Apollon Hotels we have a "Zero Food Waste" policy. In our warm dishes buffet section there is a "mirror" operation, which means both sides offer the same dishes on either side. The reason behind that is to ensure higher service of our guests during meals. 30 minutes before the end of each meal, one side of the "mirror" warm buffet is closed in order to ensure there is no food waste, however the provided choices still remain the same. Thank you once more for choosing our Hotel for your holidays. Best regards, Leonidas Platellas General Manager

Very clean hotel and lovely food it has been recently refurbished room 365 we had was very spacious with a pool view. The hotel is located close to Kos town which is €8 in a taxi or only a couple of euros on a bus, but we waited 40 minutes for a bus and it went past ad it was full and ended up getting a taxi.
Lots of choice of good food and plenty of choice.
Staff are friendly and always say hello

Only negative really was the air conditioning was making a noise and we complained about it and was told it would be fixed. After the 3rd day went back to reception and the lady said it can’t be fixed as it’s a pump to remove the water from it and only 3 rooms here has that issue unfortunately. So we couldn’t use the air con in the night as every 10 seconds it would make an annoying noise. We asked if we could have our room for a few hours after we check out as a as compensation for this issue, we were told they would do there best to sort that . On the day we checked out they wanted another €60 for us to have the room for 6 hours extra as we had a late flight.
We didn’t pay the €60 and used the only open shower available by pool and the toilet by the shower to change. This area has not been refurbed and needs it badly - not a very nice end to our holiday.
