The property is not bad, has in front of it a nice green lawn and is very quiet, shame is in the middle of nowhere .. is about 5 km from Kos town but in between there is nothing. Fortunately at least one bus provides about an hourly connection to Kos for the price of €2 each way. The hotel is quite dated and to fix as you can see from the photos. The blind bathroom, without bidet and with a very small shower. The beach is almost non-existent and poorly maintained; there is an adjacent tavern where you can have lunch. We were half Pension without being able to change dinner with lunch: poor quality buffet and little variety, even the very poor breakfast of fresh fruit: in a week only sliced melon watermelon or fruit tray to peel (I tried once to get a kiwi and it was rotten), never a banana! Air conditioning for a fee €5 per day. The catering staff very kind: both young girls and a very efficient guy and attentive to the needs of customers. Same for reception.

Lovely small friendly resort, location amazing, staff very helpful, rooms clean, food good. Definitely going back, a shame they don't offer fully inclusive, spent a lot on water. Beach bar offers lunch, very quite when we went we had the pool to ourselves. Aircon is available but extra, they recommend see how you go first night as the wind blew in off balcony, we didn't need it. Bus service not reliable, waited over an hour for service bus which didn't turn up. If you want quiet and relaxing this is ideal, we loved it.

Stayed here for 1 week in September.

I’ll start with the things I liked about this hotel:
- Most of the staff are really welcoming and smiley
- nice little patch of beach and sunbeds, I noticed most of the neighbouring hotels have to cross a main road to get to the beach, which isn’t the case here
- Decent price, we did this holiday on a budget
- There’s no mad rush to get a sunbed of a morning due it it being quiet
- there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel so getting to Kos town is super easy

Things I didn’t like:
- daily charge for the air con. In reality you’re almost definitely getting air con so it seems a bit of a scammy way for the hotel to advertise a cheaper rate online
- the swimming pool really needs some love, it was filthy
- there was no music at the ‘top bar’ so there was no atmosphere of an evening. The beach bar had music but shut as early as 7pm despite advertised opening hours of 10pm. I appreciate this may be due to it being near the end of season and so quieter.
- some of the staff were short/grumpy, again, this may be because they’re on the tail end of a full season and overworked

On balance the hotel was decent enough, it certainly did the job, but I don’t think I would return - it needs a bit of love from the owners I think. If you’re not planning on being in the hotel much this may be fine, but if you want to stay by the pool some days then I would look elsewhere.

Also, if youre under 30 I’d avoid this hotel as the average age is easily 50+ and there’s not much going on of an evening.

3 stars from me.

Structure dated and to be reordered, with old rooms and blind bathroom, very small, with the door that opened between the sink and the toilet, shower with the plastic curtain as in the student houses. Cleanliness is perhaps the most critical aspect, we never had the sheets changed in a week, the towels always smelled bad. Outside instead it looks very well with a nice garden and private beach, which is unfortunately microscopic and almost always in the shade. We chose a solution with penottamento and breakfast and we experienced only the first evening the buffet dinner, which was very reminiscent of the quality of some canteens; I would not recommend it. Regarding the location remains far from Kos city and in the middle of nowhere, not recommended not to have even a vehicle. Pay attention to the air conditioning which is charged at 5 EUR per day. Regarding the staff we unfortunately had a negative experience: we were badly advised on scooter rental (which was the worst part of the holiday) and were pushed to take their private transfer to the airport (citing the excuse that taxis, even if booked, do not show up). I don't think I'm ever coming back to this facility.

The structure is very pretty, literally a stone's throw from the sea, equipped beach of the Resort, surrounded by greenery and much peace
The room is simple and nice, the bathroom is completely redone, roof plastic and tiny
The staff at the reception is very friendly while the buffet leaves more to be desired
If you adapt it is a good solution

I spent a really nice ten days at this hotel, enjoying the beautiful sea view, the wonderful sunsets and the peace. There is no road to cross to get to the beach, you just walk down the garden path! The pool area is also welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you want to go into town, the bus stops right outside the hotel. A real gem!

My boyfriend and I have stayed in Costa Angela Beach beginning of September 2014 for 10 days. We can highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxed, affordable holiday since it's value for money is unbeatable. Our booking included breakfast, which was indeed quite simple, but had everything needed. The simple rooms are very tidy and cleaned daily. They are indeed quite small, but with the beach being only 50m from the hotel, you'll literally only sleep there. What the hotel description promises is true - beach right by the hotel, sun beds for free for the guests, lunch and dinner at the hotel tavern for a reasonable price and service at all time. Kos Town is only 5km from the hotel - it is walkable, but we encourage everyone to get a moped or bikes to get there in a couple of minutes. Also the bus runs frequently right by the hotel, so either way you'll find it quite easy to get to Kos Town. But this hotel's particular forte is the warmhearted treatment you'll experience from the family owning the house - they will make you feel like you are part of their family. We've experienced a lot during our past holidays - but never such a friendly, warmhearted, loving environment! We would come back at any time - they made this holiday perfect for us. Thank you so much Costa Angela!

We travelled to Kos via a travel agent and picked Costa Angela for nice reviews. We expected friendly staff and property owners but reality still left us very pleasantly surprised.
The staff and family running the hotel is super friendly and definitely not in the annoying way.
Hotel, pool area and beach are very nice and clean. Beach is only couple of steps away from the hotel and there were always free sunbeds to choose from. Other option is to sit by the pool which is also nice. Food in the restaurant is excellent and good prices.
Be ready to pay extra daily surcharge for air conditioning and safe.
Bus to Kos town has a stop right outside the hotel and runs every 30 mins (usually on time). In just a short ride you are in a very nice vacation town with plenty of people and restaurants and bars.

It's a family ran hotel. Very good looking, next to the beach with a taverna. You can eat and drink lots of things. Oh well, that's nothing special, right?

It has a pool surrounded with beautiful plants. The rooms are pretty simple, but comfortable and always very clean. All rooms have small fridge that you can use for a really small amount of money. The hall is really nice with a nice big photo of the two children whose names are given to the hotel: Costa and Angela. Really lovely!
So... nothing special? Well the most important and absolutely best thing is the family. All the members are friendly, lovely people. Very friendly people who like to interact with the guests. The atmosphere is great. It was the fourth time I was there, they didn't forget me and my parents, it was a really warm and friendly welcoming by them. And they're friendly with everyone. Fantastic staff, not only the family members but the others too.

Maybe there are some shortcomings, maybe there are better looking hotels, but its placement is really good, it is nice and comfortable enough and the most important thing that nothing can replace is the friendly people who will never be forgotten!

Thank you all for the memorable holiday! See you soon!

Some not hotel related things:
-There are buses in every hour to Kos city
-There is a super market and a taverna between the city and the hotel
-In overall the transport is pretty good
-Many things to visit on the island and nice boat trips too
-Friendly people everywhere!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO VISIT!

My family and I stayed in a nearby hotel but once we found the Costa Angela at the beginning of our second week we preferred to eat and drink there.

It is a family ran hotel and the staff and service were fantastic. The owner and staff ensure that your feel very welcome and it has that personal touch needed to make anyone visiting the hotel feel welcome.

It especially alleviated some stress for me as my son has a dairy allergy and they were very understanding about his dietary requirements and offered to make alternative meals which was lovely.......even though he preferred the potato chips and spaghetti bolognese ha.

If we returned to Kos we would most definitely stay in this hotel and on speaking to other guests it became apparent that most people that had visited the hotel had been on more than one occassion.

Thankyou to Mr Stavos, his lovely family and staff for welcoming me and my family when visiting your hotel. Also thankyou for keeping my little boy entertained during meals and for being so lovely to him he definitely enjoyed his visits as did we.
