We went for a romantic meal without the kids and the food was totally delicious. The new chef is super amazing cannot wait to go back. The landlord Simon gets quality local produce and if he recommends a dish go for it he knows his stuff.

Out for lunch with the family. Two of us had the vegetarian option which was lovely - cannelloni with spinach and goat's cheese. The" steak" sandwich was not so much steak as bits of roast joint and tough and dry. I can imagine that this is much nicer on a warmer day sitting outside. Decor and the beautiful drive to...

An old oak beamed room with a comfortable king size bed; good beer; friendly service and excellent food when it is wet and miserable outside - what is there more to want? I recommend the Otter bitter beer and the catch of the day, which was haddock the day I visited.

The decor is bright and un-fussy and the food above average with slightly above-average prices. There is a selection of local beers and wine is sold by the glass. In the past, we have also...

Delicious and satisfying lunch. My husband had the salmon gravadlax and had the pigeon breast both were delicious and beautifully presented. Then the turkey pie. Too much to finish it. Excellent beer and a selection of gin. Total meal with drinks for 2 £45
