Excellent welcome from an English speaking receptionist. Lovely breakfast with a range of options and you can pay for eggs if wanted. We loved our accomodation although you need to be prepared for visits from wildlife! They allow you to stay by the pool area on check-out day and there is a shower area and toilet you can use which is ideal because of the Air France evening return flights. The pool area is starting to show some wear and tear but is still very nice and also large. Great location for visiting the beaches, Grande Anse is walkable and Perle is a short drive. Lots of fantastic restaurants in the vicinity and a small grocery shop and excellent burger van at the end of road.

With all the good reviews, I expected this to be a positive experience, but Caraib’Bay Hotel simply blew us away. Nested in a beautiful tropical garden with winding paths leading to individual cottages, just walking its grounds was a pure joy every day. Fresh, healthy breakfast set up in the common area - my boyfriend couldn’t get enough of their homemade granola with fresh yogurt, while I indulged in cheeses and jams, fruit juices and, of course, just baked croissants. Our cottage surprised with its spaciousness and thoughtful decorative elements that made it feel like you were staying in a designer’s home rather than hotel. We made good use of the fully equipped kitchenette and cooked some of our meals there to avoid dealing with restaurants and reservations. You can store enough groceries in the small fridge to last you a couple of days (there’s a mini-mart in Deshais where you can buy pretty much everything to make a quick meal). We rented a car and there’s a designated parking lot right by the hotel. The drinking water fountain was a life-saver for the duration of our trip and saved us from the need to buy water. We also appreciated the beach towels that we could borrow and exchange as needed. And a special thank you to Castel who was so sweet, patient and attentive to our needs! The Grande Anse beach is absolutely stunning and just about 7-minute walk from the hotel. We’ve tried a couple of restaurants by the beach for lunch and dinner and they were all consistently good. Our trip to Guadeloupe was very special and this lovely hotel contributed a lot to our amazing experience on this beautiful island.

This hotel was perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 6, 9 and 10). We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our week in Guadeloupe. The accommodations were the perfect size and had everything we needed, including an outdoor dining space, separate sleeping area for the kids and a small kitchenette. The breakfast every morning was just what we needed for our days of exploring the island. We thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool every afternoon along with a cocktail. The staff was extremely helpful and booked us excursions and made great restaurant reservations. The hotel grounds were truly as beautiful as the botanical gardens. Zero complaints. We feel lucky to have found this gem.

We are two Norwegian women who had the pleasure of enjoying two weeks in this tropical paradise. We stayed in the charming wooden bungalow Ti Kaz Bwa,an eco lodge with natural air ventilation which kept the the logde cool night and day. A spacious terrace surrounded by the most beautiful tropical plants gave us privacy. The breakfast was a sheer delight, enjoyed in a family atmosphere ,on a terrace overlooking the garden and the swimmingpool. It was delicious -with tropical fruits, homemade juice and jam , wholesome , homemade müsli ,natural yogurt and cakes.Fresh drinking water was at our disposal all the day. The whole hotel team were overwhelmingly pleasant and helpful taking the time to give us good advice concerning our stay. Moreover, the cleanliness was impeccable. An extra plus is that everything is environmentally friendly from details such as the soaps to the natural air condition and the salt in the inviting swimming pool where we took a refreshing bath every morning and some evenings under the stars. The daily visits of the cat Welcome ,her feline friends and the families of wild hens added to increase to the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere . Worth mentioning is also the short walk to the most beautiful sandy beach, Grande Anse and a short distance to the charming village Deshaies ,known from the TV series "Death in Paradise" . We now have wonderful memories from Caraib`Bay Hotel to warm us in winter cold Norway. Toril and Tone.

Absolutely beautiful grounds. Location is very close to Grande Anse beach which couldn't be any better. Facilities were very well maintained. Not posh but excellent in nearly every respect. Staff did an excellent job of helping with arrangements for trips or dinner reservations. Biggest challenge was speaking english vs french. Some of the staff were bilingual which was very helpful. We knew this was a challenge when we came to Guadeloupe. Well worth the struggle!

Fun, colorful cabins with outdoor seating make this a great place to stay. Families can vacation together without being right on top of one another. The grounds were spectacularly landscaped and wild chickens roam the property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; breakfast was great with homemade jams we couldn’t even name! You can walk down to the beach in the Deshaies area, but to get into Deshaies you’ll need a car. Very nice property - the only drawback is if you’re sleeping with the windows open, be prepared to hear roosters in the morning!

We could not have been happier with our stay. Catherine and Christophe were genial and helpful hosts, doing everything for us from making dinner reservations to coordinating our bicycle rentals. Not to mention those delicious cocktails! The place is beautifully maintained: quiet, private and lush, except for the singing of tree frogs and the crowing of roosters! It's also a 5 minute walk to Grande Anse, which is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Fabulous restaurants are just a 10-minute drive away. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

The Caraib'Bay hotel is an excellent base to explore Basse-Terre. The grounds are lovely. We stayed in a beautiful wooden cabin with a large kitchenette and deck area. The owners were extremely helpful. The location is excellent. It is short walk to the Grande Anse--a world-class beach-and a 5 minute drive to Deshaies where there are several excellent restaurants.

This was our first trip to Guadeloupe, but definitely not our last. We booked the Kariacou Villa and it was great for my husband, 21 year old son, and me. It's a bit of a walk to get to it up via the paved sidewalk, but worth it and nice having the privacy. There is also a small sliver of view of the ocean from the porch. Beds are comfortable, air conditioning cools well, and the outdoor shower works well though the handheld is placed a bit short for my husband. The breakfast is delicious. While we were there it included fresh pineapple, watermelon, and canteloupe, bread and baked goods (and rice cakes for the Celiacs), cereals, yogurt, fresh juices, and hot drinks. Eggs can be ordered for just 2 Euros extra. Staff are friendly. The English speaking staff (I believe her name is Asia?) was very helpful in booking us reservations for activities and restaurants. We would love to return here again.

Let me start off by saying my significant other and I do not speak much French, but Catherine and Christophe did not make that a problem and were very accommodating. They assisted with helping us book reservations and even had recommendations on hand for my first time (and my boyfriend's second time) there. Additionally, accommodations were very comfortable and super lovely (what an amazing bungalow!), breakfast was an amazing experience, and the hotel was just a short walk away from the beach. Thank you to Catherine and Christophe for being so accommodating, and thank you to your amazing staff who made our stay one to remember for ages. I HIGHLY recommend and I will be coming back whenever possible!
