We had a Christmas family reunion and thoroughly enjoyed the location, the premises, and the food. We had a set menu so I cannot comment on the other options, but everything we tasted was very good (not excellent), including the wine.

The castle/ hotel is located on top of a hill. The views are wonderful. The hotel is also very nice and luxurious. If you are looking for somewhere unusual to stay in the Venice region this would be a great choice. You can also just ride the funicular for 1 euro to enjoy the

I had been to Castel Brando a few years ago, but only as a day visitor, so the chance to stay at the hotel was certainly on my bucket list. I should précis my review by stating it is an amazing location, great for exploring the fabulous surrounding areas of Northern Italy. The

Dear Sara, thank you for your review, we are truly sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. The Royal Suite is 48mq and it has 2 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is on the mezzanine floor, together with the bed, the other one is on the lower floor, next to the living room. The room is located in the XVIII century wing and it has original Venetian stuccoes, paintings and a Murano glass chandelier. We are sorry that the mattress did not satisfy you: it has been bought one year ago (we change all mattresses every 2 years) and it was chosen in order to meet guests’ needs, so were the pillows. Regarding bars and restaurants, there are always at least one bar and one restaurant open, 365 days a year. It is also important for our guests to know that our staff is at complete disposal to serve drinks wherever the guest want to (in the terrace or in the inner courtyard, for example). Furthermore, on the 4th floor there is a terrace with sun loungers and tables, always open for our guests. We are sorry you did not use this space. All tables and chairs in the outdoor areas are provided with tablecloths and pillows, we remove them only in case of possible rain. Again, we are sorry if you were not provided with complete information during your stay, we hope there will be soon another chance to welcome you and remind you that our Staff is at your complete disposal, Kind regards, CastelBrando Staff

The pool is part of the 'wellness centre' so I believe the minimum age is 17 or 18. You can check by looking on the hotel website and going to the SPA information. Hope this helps your planning.
