The hotel is very charming! The grounds are lovely and very well-maintained. I stayed in a quaint little bungalow with a private balcony that overlooked the ocean. The staff is amazing and so very friendly. The beach was absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, especially on Cuban Day where they made fresh paella. The entertainment staff is not notch and they keep the crown entertained all day long with fun games that are often appropriate for the kids. And the performers blew me away, especially when they put on a circuis. The atmosphere is very relaxed and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Highly recommend!

Great experience, stellar views, and fantastic service from the entire staff! The buffet is always stocked with a variety of options that allow for a pleasant experience every meal. The beach's sand is pillowy to the touch and a dip in the water cuts through the heat which, while unrelenting, is essential to the authentic experience.

Most beautiful beach we’ve ever been to super warm and clear. Reception was friendly and helpful from the moment they greatest us. Nildrey, Joel and the rest of the animation team were always friendly and made our stay fun and the evening shows were very entertaining. The staff really makes this place great and will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The girls in the playhouse did an incredible job with my son where I felt comfortable leaving him for a while so he could get out of the sun. The bar staff was always quick and friendly specially Hailor who would go out of his way to get me boiling water so I could make my son mac and cheese or noodles. Niuler made our stay extra special always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. He always had a friendly smile.

Great experience and service on our trip. Our Oceanview room was clean and big with room service doing an amazing job daily. The bar tenders were always fast and friendly making all sorts of exciting drinks for us to try. Joel at the reception was so helpful and friendly with any assistance needed. The staff in the buffet were wonderful specially the ladies they were always attentive not only about service but also our stay how we were doing. The evening female server on the far left end even rushed to get us her personal mosquito repellant when so we could enjoy dinner which she did not have to. The animation team is so fun and friendly with the games throughout the day. Joel and Nildray are so nice always put a smile on our faces. Last but not least the gem for us on our trip Niuler who gave us not a 5 Star stay but 10 stars! He went out of his way to make sure our family had everything we needed arrange fun activities for us. He was always around an available to help with anything he mad out trip worth it and would definitely come back.

During my stay I was able to enjoy excellent room service. Congratulations to the people in charge of cleaning the rooms, congratulations also to the person in charge of cleaning the lobby area (bombon). The service provided by the reception, impeccable, deserves congratulations, in my opinion the work of the reception classifies it as a 5-star hotel. The lobby bar staff are exceptional, excellent charisma with the exception of Tony, who to obtain his service you have to show him the tip and his coffee is a version of water. In the snack bar, wonderful service from Dairon and Yunior, they are the protagonists of your having an excellent vacation in this hotel. I think that the rest of the employees should have at least a hint of the professionalism of these wonderful workers. The daytime entertainment is the worst, not only that there is very little animation but also that the animators ask you to lend them your phone to create fake accounts and classify the animation work as the best, so if you want a hotel with activities and recreation it is not the best place, this is a rest hotel. the buffet the food is always cold, the cockroaches walk on top of the food on the cold table, if you decide to sit in the range on the right with the team of the tall blonde girl with a flower in her hair and the boy who works with her, keep in mind that you cannot forget the tip because otherwise you will not get your drink service, they ignore you and not only do they ignore you but they deny you their names and since no 1 worker at the buffet has their identification tag, it is impossible to specify the name of the person who denies you the service for which you paid contrary to the workers in the range on the left, their service is excellent. If it serves as a suggestion to the hotel management, I think that when the hotel receive a visit for quality control, they should interact with the clients and not with the workers.

Dear Customer, Thank you for sharing your opinion. We sincerely apologize for not having fulfilled your expectations. As in all subscriber businesses, we recommend all our guests to share their opinionon about the hotel. Your comment is really proof that all our customers can share their opinion without any hindrance and comment their opinion according to their feeling. We are a macrocosm of the outside world, of society, lamentably all our employees are not on the same level and we regret it. Knowing that we have a live meat and fish show cooking, our dishes are always hot, our buffets have heated bain-marie. For a la carte meals, the menu is à la carte and therefore prepared on the moment. Our entertainment department offers activities from 10 am to 6 pm, at 8h30 pm we have the mini disco, from 09h15 pm to 10h00 pm we have professional shows performed by contracted artists, then until 1 am we have our disco. Thank you for sharing your opinion, we take it seriously and will do our best to improve.

I have been to Cuba about 9 times and I've seen the good the bad and the ugly. I know what to expect. This is my honest review. The physical resort is tired. In need of a face lift. Broken fence posts, missing planks from boardwalks, chipped paint and broken floor tiles. That being said it was fairly clean, most of the time and doesn't really take away from your experience unless you are really fussy. The rooms are in semi-detached style bungalows. Two rooms share a "cabin". I liked this so much better than a traditional hotel room. We had two rooms for our family so we had an adjoining door between the rooms that worked really well. Our Cabin was basically on the beach, it was right behind us! Great location. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. If you are squeamish about bugs of any kind, you might not like these rooms. We had ants, geckos and a variety of small spiders in our room. I think they get in under the gap in the door, didn't bother us at all. The room was really worn out. Rusty taps, stains on the bedding, patio doors that barely closed, TV and phone didn't work... BUT the air conditioning was amazing! We kept it at max the entire week and it didn't disappoint. The maids also did an awesome job of keeping the room neat and tidy everyday and supplying us with lots of bottled water! I would compare it to "glamping", camping with a little extra. Again, if you're not fussy and know what to expect you won't be disappointed. The beach is by far the best thing about this area! Amazing! You could literally walk out for a few KMs and still only be up to your knees. The water was crystal clear, calm and warm. We saw lots of wildlife in the water off he beach. Angelfish, needle-nose fish, minnows, crabs, conch! Beautiful! The second best thing about this resort is the staff, they are amazing, warm and friendly! We were there in early August and it was HOT, like unbearably hot but the staff pressed on. They were kind, helpful and always had a smile. They work hard, really hard. We tipped a lot, not because we felt pressured to, but because they deserved it. Please be generous with your tips. AND Canadians, PLEASE STOP TIPPING IN LOONIES AND TOONIES!! For the love of Pete, tipping with our Canadian coins is useless to them, the bank in Cuba will not take them! You may as well be tipping them in Canadian Tire money for the good it does them. The workers then have to go around the resort and ask guests to change the coins into paper money so they can use it. It is a huge inconvenience for them and for other guests who end up coming home with $75 worth of coins. Just stop. Spend the extra bit of money and buy a bunch of $1 USD to take with you, makes it easier for everyone. The buffet was repetitive but definitely edible. Always had different meats like chicken, fish and pork. And of course their famous bread and ice cream were amazing! Was sad that there was no pizza, burgers or hot dogs. Never been to a resort that didn't offer these things. The two teens we went with are vegetarian so they ate a lot of sweet potatoes, rice, bread and fruit and veggies. A little pizza or pasta would have been good. We went to Italian night at the a la carte restaurant. I would suggest skipping this, definitely not worth it. Reservation was for 6:30, by 8 PM we had been served our appetizer which was melted cheese on a small piece of bread. We were getting very hot (no a/c) and very hungry. Our dinner, pasta in a bowl was finally served by 8:30, two hours later. We left before dessert was served and went to the buffet for ice cream. The poor server was there all alone and there were about 10 tables. Service was way too slow. We canceled our reservation for the a la caret the next night, not worth the long, long wait... The drinks were always delicious, cold and served with a smile!! I especially loved the barman in the lobby (I forget his name but he was the super tall, friendly black man), we loved him. We also loved the super cute, friendly (and a little flirty) Alec(x) and Erick at the pool bar! So much fun and great service. The lady snack bar chef (sorry I forgot her name) was also hilarious, fun and very friendly we loved her so much!! This next part is more for the guests at the resort than the resort itself (but the resort should deal with it). I spent the entire week picking up straws and plastic cups! THE ENTIRE WEEK, it was brutal. Hundreds of cups and straws. WTH is wrong with people that they can't throw their stuff in the garbage? You do know all that ends up in Ocean and kills off the wildlife right? It was infuriating. I hope someday this resort switches to plastic washable cups. Better for the environment and the overall cleanness of the resort. And paper plates too, everywhere, ripped up into pieces and just thrown to the wind. There was a day when there were clumps and clumps of hair in the pool, gross. Are you brushing your hair in the pool? Another day there was what I thought a seashell in the bottom of the pool I actually picked it up (and dropped it) 3 times with my toes. Finally I got it and placed it in my Nephew's hand it wasn't a shell, it was a bone from a piece of meat someone had eaten! Who the F eats meat in the pool?! So disgusting, I nearly puked. Guests need to do better. Resort needs to stay on top of their messy guests and put some boundaries in place. Overall I would say this is an average 3 star resort in Cuba. No frills, nothing fancy with limited amenities. But, the staff are great, the beach is amazing and the food was perfectly adequate and you will not go to bed hungry unless you are super picky (in which case I would never recommend Cuba). If you do your research, know what to expect and aren't too fussy this resort is perfectly fine.
