Wow! Our ground floor room at the rear, with it's own street entrance, was enormous. Even our own table and chairs. Diane, our host, is lovely; very welcoming and helpful with suggestions for dining options and routes to our next destination. Parking is free, but either on the street or in the council carpark opposite. Very good breakfast.

The drive to Tomintoul is spectacular! We spent two nights here. It is a great location as a base for seeing the distilleries. Serene and beautiful biking and hiking nearby too. The village is pretty sleepy at night so if you are looking for pub entertainment, stay in Aviemore or Grantown on Spey. The innkeeper here is lovely. I was...

Came from the north and arrived in the lovely village of Tomintoul. Denise, our very friendly landlady, set us up in a great room with large bath room and nothing missing. Breakfast was super and we had 5 cocked options to chose from (all cocked by Denise husband). We got great tips on activities and very pleased with the options...

We are just leaving a fabulous week at the Argyle Guest House. The hosts were wonderful and attentive. The breakfast was a treat each morning with wonderful food a very good coffee. The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of blankets for chilly highland nights. There were plenty of outlets to charge our devices. The en-suite was clean.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Argyle during a equestrian holiday. From the warm welcome we received to a very fond farewell at the end of the week, we were incredibly well looked after. Diane is an exceptional hostess, and Steve is an amazing chef; our meals were truly excellent. Our room and en-suite bathroom were clean...

Our first stop on our Scotland trip was to Argyle House and we couldn't ask for much more. Centrally located to the Highland distilleries, circled by several great pubs and restaurants and the friendliest hosts you'd want to meet. The beds were comfortable and we wanted for nothing. Make sure you take full advantage of the breakfast the next morning....
